Really great hotel, some of the rooms are really small but clean and tidy and the staff are very welcoming. We were very hot at night and left the window open, big mistake as we were eaten alive by mosketos. You can ask for a fan for your bedroom and the staff will get one for you. The breakfast was good and fresh, I think they swap meats on alternative days so bacon on one then sausages on the other but on the whole it was good. They have a happy hour which the wine goes down to about 4.5 euros and it is a nice one. You also get free crisps if you ask for them which is a nice touch. Overall we enjoyed the stay here and would stay again.

The hotel is exteremly clean and neat. The rooms, lobby, bar and entire cafeteria are very well cleaned and maintained. The staff is super friendly and extremely supportive. One of the best staffs I have seen who are so accommodating and making customer service as their priority. Many thanks to Hind, Luise and rest of the staff for making our stay so pleasant and comfortable. The hotel is very well located that is 7 min walk to Beach, 5 min walk to old town and 3 min wall to tram and 10 min walk to main train station. Overall great experience. I highly recommend this hotel. We will stay in this hotel whenever we go back to Nice

Excellent ! This is a comfortable hotel with some quirky Frenchness about it. Close to the beach and the Old Town in quiet streets, and very reasonably priced, this is a fun place to stay. We paid the extra for a deluxe executive room so can't comment on the basic accommodation, but have been delighted with ours. The staff are friendly and efficient, too. Glad we came and chose the Ellington.

The staff are lovely, downstairs is beautiful but that's where it ends sadly. The room is more of a 2 star, very basic, no drawers, the sliding wardrobe doors didn't fit. The air con didn't work so we opened the window through the night and woke up to at least 50 mosquito bites each. We were only there 3 nights but would have been more disappointed if it had been longer. Loved the city itself though.

This place is wonderful! It's centrally located in Nice, easily accessible to everything, clean renovated rooms but best of all, staff are amazing. I must must recognize Lorenzo who is impeccable! I travel often and I haven't had someone who takes as much time to ensure that all our questions and needs are addressed. He would book our restaurants, beach beds, transfers and always had a great recommendation in hand. Lorenzo, thank you! You're the best!!

My hubby and I stayed between 12 and 19 May 2018. A lovely hotel situated centrally. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel bar has happy hour between 5 and 8pm with 30% discount, and the lady tending the bar (on some evenings) was extremely efficient, runs a tight ship and makes a great Kir, so well worth a visit (or three!) The only negative for me was there was never any Jazz music playing in the Jazz-themed bar!! We have already discussed returning to Nice (we sadly missed Cannes because of the film festival) and staying at the Ellington again.

Overall, the impression with which we left the hotel was a good one. The buffet style breakfast was excellent. Snacks were available from the bar or via room service. We visited in early December. There was no working restaurant but I guess at other times in the year there may be. The Ellington is well situated. It is about 10 minutes walk to the beach and to the old town. Access to the hotel with a wheelchair is possible via a small electric lift and via ramps installed outside when required. Staff were helpful at all times. We were booked into a "classic" room. However, we were upgraded FOC to a larger room as my wife was in a wheelchair. I didn't see the "classic" room but I reckon it would have been a mite small even without the wheelchair.

This is no 4 star hotel. Downstairs is fine breakfast was ok however our room was more like a room you would find in a hostel. The wardrobe doors didn't slide properly, the fixtures and fittings were sparse, and the housekeeping was poor. We wouldn't come back. 3 star at a push.

Absolutely Fantastic! Lovely cosy hotel with '40s style, yet modern amenities. Perfect location for seeing the "old town", getting to the beach, the Marina or Place Garibaldi. The staff were totally amazing! Friendly, polite, professional and exemplify customer service! The breakfasts are soooo good! So much selection, and every bit tastes great. Got back Yesterday and I'm missing the place already. Can't wait to go back. 100% Recommend!

For location this hotel is really great. The city shopping is 3 minutes away. The old town and promenade is also just a 5 minutes walk. If you don't mind the quaint charm of an old building you will overlook the small elevators, AC which doesn't work great and a cramped ambiance. The morning breakfast has a great selection of food and will satisfy even a gourmet.

From the booking stage right up to the time we left it was a wonderful experience to stay at the Hotel Ellington. Situated beautifully in a lovely part of Nice with so many facilities nearby it really suited our preferences. Thanks to Jean-Pierre for his warm welcome and all the reception and management who engaged well with us with any queries we had. Also to the housekeeping staff who do a great job day in and day out. Many thanks and hope to see you again in the not too distant future.

This is a lovely hotel with a marvelous staff. They are extremely pleasant and ready to help in any way they can. We stayed in an Executive room, which was quite comfortable. The air con was only adequate, however. We like it a bit cooler than most people which constitutes my comment. The lobby is small, but charming and the location is phenomenal! Close to everything.

This hotel is in s fairly good location, central to the train station and beach. The bedrooms are functional, but not spacious but clean. The only true letdowns in the room was the over the bath shower and one of the mattresses was uncomfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very good and very reasonable. If you pay at the hotel, it's only ten Euros per person per night which is much better value than paying in advance.

I definitely enjoyed my stay at this beautiful hotel! The bed is soooo comfortable! The staff were very friendly specially Edmir and Lorenzo and the location is amazing it’s near to both the airport, the old town and the shopping area! I highly recommend it👏🏼

Just came back . Beautiful hotel located in Central Nice, a few minutes from the Promenade and Old town. Recently renovated, clean rooms and great service. Edmir and the rest of the staff were very helpful and pleasure to deal with. Highly recommended.

Brilliant hotel, absolutely nothing to find fault with. Located in a quiet area of Nice but only 5/10 minutes walk from the hundreds of restaurants and the sea. If you're flying in to Nice take the Tram into the City (€1.50).Alight at Durandy Stop which is a few minutes walk from the Hotel. Don't pay €30+ for a taxi.

We stayed in a Classic Room on the first floor facing the road and we very happy with it. Lovely bathroom as new, very comfortable bed, room serviced daily, nothing to fault. Staff very professional. We didn’t have breakfast but there is an amazing boulangerie 5 minutes around the corner. Easy 10 minute walk to Old Town. Also a tram stop very nearby which we used a lot. Thoroughly recommend this hotel.

It’s an amazing new hotel with very sophisticated and clean rooms, furniture and fittings. The location of this hotel is very good with a lot of restaurants nearby and it’s just a 15mins walk from the pebble beach. The breakfast was very delicious as well. The hotel has very comfortable beds which was great. And finally the service is top notch. What else do you need when on vacation. I highly recommend this hotel when in Nice.

It's a good hotel with restaurant and bar. Quiet and within 15 min walking distance to the beach. Breakfast is decent but only if you stay a couple of days. It's the same every day. But be aware that if you arrive by car that there is no parking available. The hotel has an agreement with a nearby shopping mall underground garage which charges hourly and somewhat 15-20 Euro /night. So getting from your hotel to your car is a bit of a walk an can be very challenging if you have an SUV. As everywhere in Italy and France it is low 1.90m clearance and tight. Also you need to ask for a room with an shower. To my surprise ours only had a bathtub. I should have requested one with an shower I was told. First time in 25 years traveling for business I experienced a 4 star hotel with no shower head.
