Wonderful experience and exceptional staff/service! I will be going back. Must get a sea view room, it is worth it but the perfect location makes it difficult to spend a lot of time in your room.

Excellent location of this traditional seafront property. Short walk into old town and shopping district. Rooms are slightly cramped, but well worth it for the seafront view.

Lol this hotel is laughably bad. Location is great but everything else is bad. Lobby is run down. Few staff. Check in took longer than necessary. No one to bring our bags up. Mini bar looks like it was drinks past guests had left behind. Hair dryer is barely breathes air out… I gave up after 30mins. Toilet paper holder was broken. No conditioner. Deck was dirty. I could go on… book elsewhere if you can.

The hotel is old and worn. I actually had to kick in the door ( every thime ) of room 315 to get it to open as it is so stuck in the frame. The pictures themselves can show how the cleaning and breakfast was ( the breakfast was actually better the second day👍). A toilet with almost no fluch water an a almost non working Internett unfortunaly does not raise the standard either😢. The positives are that it has a perfect location with a beatuiful view and a plesant staff. But the hotel needs a serious renovation if all the rooms are like my so-called suite in room 315.

Really great experience - lovely clean room on the 5th floor with superb views and calming sound of the waves from the beach across the road. Lovely staff and wonderful buffet breakfast with lots of choice

Beautiful property, enjoined every second. The location is wonderful, the staff is very helpful, and the breakfast venue is really good. Try to get sea front room, leave the windows open, and enjoy the sound and smell of the waves.

Good location overlooking the Mediterranean. The hotel has nice facades. However, rooms on the sides and some in the back face adjacent building walls. Our room was facing a wall. It was small and dated. The furniture is quite old and the fitted carpet is not inviting at all. The bathroom was small, a person can hardly move inside it. Rooms on the upper floor were more spacious, with larger bathrooms and newly renovated. Shockingly, the upper floor renovated rooms were the same price as the dated small rooms. Really unfair. We stayed for five nights and tried to change the room, but the receptionists were not helpful. The cancellation policy is different from other hotels. The hotel charges 100% of the booking amount if cancelled within 3 days before check in. Usually, hotels charge 1st night only. The breakfast buffet is good and varied. All in all, we were disappointed and not worth the price we paid.

Excellent service, hotel is clean, breathtaking view of the sea from the fifth floor with a side view of famous negrasca hotel and museum. Staff is friendly and very kind and generous especially Farjis the hotel manager who welcomed us and was a great help with all our concerns. Breakfast is fabulous and delicious. Highly recommend.

Excellent location for touring Nice. The room was fine but for two issues. There was no working air conditioning and the room was stiflingly hot even for April. This lead to the second issue. We had to leave the windows open at night to achieve a comfortable temperature but they seem to do roadworks maintenance at night which meant we had to endure the noise. David in the restaurant deserves a special mention. Attentive, great service. He cooked our Chateaubriand to perfection and his command of English was excellent.

The second star is only due to the breathtaking sea view from our room. Otherwise our experience would have been terrible. Check in was a mess: the reception girl tried to speak Italian (even though we can speak good French), but was definitely not effective. In the meantime two other staff members were talking about a guest who ran away from the garage taking the key with him. Another guy wrapped the girl with the phone wire trying to read something from the computer screen. The room was ok, not big, but clean, and, as said, the view was amazing. Full sea view: basically you could admire both sunrise and sunset from you bed! Usually we do not have breakfast, but since it was included, we decided to give it a try. Bad idea. Breakfast room was overcrowded, it was open to non guests and, despite the good selection of salty and sweet products, its been so crowded made food, glasses, mugs etc disappear so fast that staff could not keep the pace. Even though we were guests of the hotel, we had to wait to have a table, and the only available had the leftovers of previous guests on it. The waiter came and cleaned it (not carefully at all!), moving dirty dishes and mugs to the table beside ours. Service was definitely not 4-star, perhaps neither worth a 3 star hotel standard. Hotel restaurant “Le Siècle” had a good local and international menu.

My husband and I booked Hotel West End for our honeymoon in October and it was without a doubt the best experience I have ever had at a hotel. The staff was amazing!! Everyone was incredibly accommodating and friendly. They even provided us with champagne and macarons, which we were able to enjoy on our patio overlooking the sea and the city. The location is fantastic - very convenient. I would absolutely recommend staying here and hope to visit again soon!

We had a delightful stay. The room was well appointed, overlooking the prom. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was ideally situated for the prom and the town. We were pleased that the hotel was able to arrange three days of glorious sunshine for us. We hope to be returning soon.

The room was comfortable, location was good. The hotel offered a great breakfast and overall nice stay. We left behind a few items in our room that we wanted to recover. The front desk and the lady who was in charge of resolving this case, Alice, went above and beyond resolving this issue. We finally recovered all of our lost items.

Hotel 100% recomendable! Charming and cozy rooms, delicious breakfast, fabulous location and even better service! Thanks to the reception team, specially to Silvio and Marie for making this stay unforgettable, you made it even more special! Thanks also to Matthieu for also attending my last minute request upon arrival at the hotel the first day. Thanks for the flexibility, professionality and transparency also showing me the available room to confirm, if it was the room I wanted for my upgrade. I will come back to West End next time in Nice!

This historic buildings' glory days are over but has a Potential to Be a really hip Palace with little concept planning and attention to details. Suggestion: -utilize the beauty of old features in general areas with more stylish decorating -start activities: music lounge or such :) -location and room with seaview nice -nice staff :( -Air conditioning in our room did not work -> Bad Air quality -> had to sleep with windows open in April -bathroom had mold in corners -furnitures in luxury room ugly, cheap and unpleasant plastic - bed and pillows not so good quality

Excellent friendly staff, the restaurant and the service is formidable. Maybe breakfast can be improved, some more space and the scrambled eggs can be better

My dad and I both got food poisoning from eating the bacon at breakfast. Rooms are very small and hot. The air conditioning blows hot, even when set to cool. The towel warmer was broken. The water in the shower will eventually hot but you need to let it run for 10 minutes or so. No drinking water or coffee machines are provided in the rooms, but there is a grocery store a couple of blocks away. The breakfast looks great but you shouldn’t trust any meat products they serve.

I did not stay at this hotel on my short visit to Nice. My friend and I visited the bar for happy hour from 6:00-8:00 pm. There was no music as expected, but we were told it's only a summer feature. We visited in September. However, we were welcomed in the pleasant bar and had our cocktails, which were good value for money and a very generous amount. I had the champagne cocktail and requested not too much elder flower wine in it, because I did not want it sweet. The result was perfect. The service was excellent from a very friendly and helpful person. I am tempted to stay at this hotel on a future trip to Nice as it's situated on the Promenade des Anglais, with restaurants nearby if I want to eat out. Obviously I cannot comment on the rooms etc. From the short experience described above I would recommend Hotel West End Nice as a pleasant place to visit and receive a great welcome and service,

Very nice staff. Beautiful historic hotel in a good location. Comfortable room. Good breakfast. The only thing we didn't like about the room was the window into the bathroom. There was no way to use the bathroom at night without lots of light shining into the bedroom. The other thing that bothered us was after we left they charged our card for 12.04. I presume that must have been for the 1 small bottle of water from the room mini bar and that seemed excessive.

Everything was great - the staff at the front desk was friendly and helpful and ready to answer every question I had. The hotel was perfectly located on the Promenade des Anglais and I was really delighted to leave the hotel every day and face the beautiful seaside. Breakfast was also great and the room has top amenities.

Great location however the front desk staff needs training to be polite with their customers. I think they were rude and don't explain much if you ask questions as a tourist!! Breakfast and location was good if staff was good I could have given 5 stars

Overrated! Don't recommend! We went for our 30th with my best friend and probably got the worst room possible. The ceiling was leaking (not the AC, the ceiling). When we complained they said they would send someone. They never did. Our carpet was wet the entire time because of it and it smelled like humidity and rot throughout our entire stay (in the entire floor by the way). We complained about that too but again nothing was done. The bathroom's door was stuck, we had no conditionner either. Asides from the location, it wasn't worth the money and the service and amenities were definitely not deserving 4 stars. It is not worth the money. They make you pay the price because they are located on the promenade but trust me when I say you will be disappointed.

This Hotel was awesome with a great location right on the Riviera. The room was an unbelievable 2 room suite on the corner of the top floor. The daily breakfast was unbelievable. The employees were very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful, especially Michael at the Bell man. Would highly recommend this hotel

The hotel location is absolutely fantastic. But we had terrible experience with the service. No one ever responds to phone calls. We were never told about how breakfast in the room works. People at the front desk were not good at all.

Very nice Hotel, Excellent location, A bit on the old side but very clean. The room was convenient and clean. Perfect for 3 adults. The breakfast was very good except for the eggs which were on the watery side.

A wonderful hotel. The staff is great, the room is very comfortable, the breakfast is delicious and the location is very good! It is the perfect place in Nice! When we come back to the Cote d'Azur (and I hope we will!) we will stay there again!

We had a wonderful time at The West End Hotel. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel was clean and everything in working order. I recommend getting the breakfast and beach package. The breakfast had a good variety of foods that should satisfy everyone's taste. The beach package gives you access to The Blue Beach. The service there was amazing. It was so nice to have lounge chairs, umbrellas and someone bringing you drinks. Overall I would definitely come back to The West End Hotel if I'm ever in Nice again.

Perfect location. The breakfast is great and they offer honeycomb which you don't find in many places. Staff doing their best to accommodate to keep everyone happy but I think the management is poor: Despite the fact that they have given themselves a 4 star, it barely qualifies for a 3 star hotel. We started with a classic room which was dark, gloomy and smelly with outdated bed and furniture. So we upgraded to "Deluxe Room "full sea view" which had a very tasteless balcony with one chair and concrete walls (see photos) which made it impossible to enjoy the view. The wifi almost doesn't exist. There was a renovation going on in upper floor that kept us up every day at 7 AM. The furniture and frames in the hallways desperately need dusting. There are so many other 4 stars hotel on this street but this is the most expensive one which is a full disappointment.

Great stay. We had the opportunity to stay in the Ambassador Suite. It was a wonderful experience in a very tasteful setting. Beautiful views over the entire bay from the suite's balconies on the top floor of the hotel. There was a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere in the hotel, thanks to a very friendly and attentive staff - everyone did their job well. We felt welcome in the hotel. Due to Covid-19, there have been a number of changes to the reservation in the last 18 months. The helpful and friendly staff of the hotel's administration have provided good, professional advice and guidance throughout this process - thank you very much.

Very good hotel! Beautiful sea view! Perfect location to downtown! Clean, safe and quite! Good breakfast and warm crew! Will vstay again!

The hotel has visibly aged, that's not a bad thing because it is still OK maintained. One elevator wasn't working for the full 4 day stay. Either spare parts missing or somebody didn't want to buy them. Anyhow the employees are very polite and doing their best. Helping with recommendations and information. Breakfast is a bit of a letdown, but you'll find everything you need for the start. Still giving 5 stars, cause the team deserves it.
