This is one of the worst experiences we have had in a hotel. The first night and morning there was no hot water. The smells of people cooking in their rooms was everywhere in the hotel. Not just an odour, but whole floors stinking. Our room was extremely bad as the vent in the bathroom picked up smells of someone cooking (something like stir fry)that made my younger son almost vomit. Friends of ours had to switch rooms because when they arrived their washroom had feces on the toilet handle. The rooms are dated, which is fine, but really not clean either. Our TV didn't work and we needed to call maintenance as soon as we arrived. Outlets in the room also weren't working. The breakfast was terrible as well. DO NOT, stay at this hotel!!!

This place got turned into a temporary shelter for the homeless, etc. Ever since that happened, there has been alot of crime in the surrounding area. Cars and lockers have been broken into at the nearby condos, and is absolutely ridiculous.

The most uncomfortable environment I have ever been in. The hotel obviously houses families, they're children running around rampant, the entire hotel smells like a food court and there was a large family moving out. The room is alright besides the huge stain on the carpet and a shower that has two heat settings, boiling or a heat so unbearably hot it make you question every decision in your life that has lead you to this hotel. Front desk staff was polite and helpful however!

Absolutely terrible experience. Booked a hotel for the September long weekend a few years back for a wedding. We arrived just before midnight after the wedding only to be told they did not have us registered as guests. They would not accept our confirmation via email and demanded we provide the hard copy of the reservation to them. I was 5 months pregnant at the time as well. They did absolutely nothing to attempt to accommodate us even with us reservation code. If you plan on booking here I highly suggest checking in before evening hours since they seem to have given our room to someone else as everything in and around town was sold out.

The hotel staff is excellent. Unfortunately a lot of the City of Toronto workers seem angry and upset as if their bothered by something. The hotel is fair. At first glance there are so many large spots on the walls 1-2ft in diameter that needs plastering. The most concerning thing is that the elevators are very unsafe. The doors have no safety feature if you should put a foot or arm in the doors to open the door. The doors to the elevators are also major concern because they do not close properly. Which makes the doors open and close on the same floor unit you open the doors completely and reset them. I say all of this because I have experience in this field. The elevators need the most work!

The hotel located in a good area close to the mall and highway but I give this hotel max 2 star the hallways looked scary and needs a major Reno kind of like old rentals!!! All the equipment in the fitness room out of service might as well close it down! I didn't use the pool for hygiene reason figured if every thing is outdated so who knows how they maintain the pool!!!! My room was just ok but could be a lot better

I enjoyed my stay, nice accommodation and friendly staff. There's just nothing around it, no convenience store or restaurants within walking distance. I like to know that if I want I can grab a snack nearby. Well, not exactly the fault of the hotel, but nevertheless, not much around if you're looking for it. The rooms were real nice, I've given it 4 stars because it wasn't outstanding, certainly meets my expectations for a hotel, but didn't happen to exceed them.

This hotel is not open for business it is actually being used as a shelter for more than 100 homeless people... What a great idea 💡

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights during and week and I liked the location and easy parking. The lobby entrance was very nicely done up and the staff greeted us as we checked in. The room was clean however overall there was a few things I wanted to note. The shower looked very fancy and was nice however it was very difficult to control the temperature. The water from the faucet seemed to have air bubbles in the pipe and it caused water to shoot out. A few of the exercise machines were out of service. Besides those things everything else was good.

Had a great stay there Aug 11-14, 2017. Room was clean and looked to be newly updated. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Did end up with two badly bruised forearms the second last day there, when the elevator doors began to close whole I was getting in (must not have a sensor in the door) could have been really dangerous for a small child. Other than that we had a great stay!

I stayed here for an exam in the nearby Prometric center.Helpful staff. It was absolutely clean ( I was afraid of cockroaches as I read in some reviews but none exist). Super comfy bed and an exciting shower with multiple jets but the weird thing were you couldn't active all the jets at the same time but in general, it was great. On the other hand, lack of slippers and toothbrushes in the room and in the shop below was irritating as using the bathroom without slippers is hard for us. The other disappointment was bar which was closed around 8 pm. The Other one was single use plastic and paper cups in a room with a lot of plastic wrapping. What is wrong with glasses? And too much plastic waste Thank you for your good place and your obvious endeavors to improve it

The people working were great, but the building not so much. location: great considering both the 401 and 404 are right in front of you. guests: don't mean to be rude but many seemed to be from a ghetto area building: seems very old. the elevators were acting weird and didn't feel safe. room: clean but the faucet kept on sputtering. plumbing issue? internet: my phones kept disconnecting but my computer was fine. Speed was too slow for a web conference.

We came here for a birthday party. The lobby was clean and well maintained. The bar area was also well laid out and bartender who gave us directions was friendly. The conference room was well set up and the service and staff was excellent. I am not certain about accommodation but a definite yes for events. Easy to find and park also

Hotel lost water due to construction in the morning! How they dealt with the situation is why I give 1 star! Returned to hotel after checking out and asked for a clean room to have a shower! They refused and only offered me the pool shower (which is not at its best) with no privacy and towel! After pushing for a room they finally gave me one, but it was not cleaned and smelt like weed! I decided to take a shower anyways (with the last clean towel), only to realize there was no hot water. After all that they still never offered some kind of alternative or compensation! Definitely this hotel need to learn some customer service skills! Will not recommend or return even though the rooms were very nice.

Overall, my stay was enjoyable, the rooms were spacious and clean. The staff quickly responded to my request for a mini-fridge in the room. However, one of the front desk attendants (didn't catch his name) was quite unfriendly/withdrawn and made me feel quite unwelcomed.

Edward Village Hotel is complimentary with 3 Stars Standards of hotels. As it is fits very well its shown standard I give 5 stars to it. I have stayed there for four nights. The receptions guys are very friendly and helpful, they are hard workers and stand for their employer interests ( I appreciate this so much). So even costumers should stand for their interest ( this is more appreciated 😊), won't be shy! The rooms are clean and comfortable. WiFi is in medium levels. The breakfast was normal. For peoples that are very sensitive by odors, I have to say that carpets of corridors smell a little bit. It is a family friendly property. It has sport activity areas. I would come back again if I need a hotel in Toronto.
