1 star is 1 too many.... Our truck was stolen from this private gated hotel lot on the first night of our stay. Ours was 1 of 5 trucks stolen from this "secure" lot on the same night. Hotel management offered us a complimentary breakfast as consolation but then proceeded to charge us for that breakfast, long with 5 other unexplainable charges to our account. Management was unable to tell us what the other 5 charges on our credit card were for but did manage to eventually have them reversed. I HIGHLY suggest avoiding this hotel at all costs unless you enjoy having your vehicle stolen and being grossly overcharge with zero explanation. We were hopeful that management would AT LEAST comp our stay for 1 of the 2 nights we were stuck there, but they refused. I don't think reimbursing us $300 was too much to ask, especially as we are out thousands of $$ while we try to replace our vehicle. I would say this hotel took ZERO accountability... which leads me to question, how do 5 trucks get stolen out of 1 secure lot in a single evening? The only bright side to our stay were the exceedingly lovely staff in the Cannery Restaurant.

Awesome stay. It provided for all our needs. The staff was super friendly and helpful. There was a big security presence in the building which I have never seen before but also was somewhat comforting knowing that there was such a presence there. The room was modern nice design. The furniture was nice. We really like the renovated washroom. It was a great and safe place to lay our head at night. We look forward to staying again. We ate at the cannery restaurant within the hotel and enjoyed the food. It was great. Very hefty burgers. The staff again was amazing at tending to our needs. I would just like to say thank you so much.

I'm pretty certain this hotel is being used for out of country quarantining, judging by the level of security that was on every floor still. The rooms were extremely small and ours was very unsanitary for a 10 month old to be down on the floor. The staff was great on check in. Hotel was new modern but very small rooms even by Toronto standards. We enjoyed the pool to ourselves in the mid-afternoon which was nice. The beds and pillows were comfortable.

Tried this hotel after our flight was canceled from Toronto. The front desk staff was super helpful and friendly. The king suite room was basic compared to the holiday inn ones but very comfy. Only suggestion would be to add mats in the tub...quiet slippery

Small rooms Over priced restaurant. In the elevator, they advertise restaurant prices which seem reasonable, however, that’s only happy hour pricing. I find it misleading. There is no continental breakfast. Many things in our room were in need of repair. Many of the lights were loose, the bottom of the bathroom door looks like someone kicked it in, door handles were loose. The mini fridge in the room smelled horrible, I couldn’t use it because of the smell. There were more security guards around than staff. Gave me an uneasy feeling; I wonder if this is not a good part of town.

Excellent service! Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived (Platinum) so we were offered a coffee, our bags were stowed, we were given our room pass and went out. In our absence they delivered our luggage to our room. Rare touches in this day and age! In the morning people found their flights cancelled and there was a crowd waiting for the shuttle. They laid on 2 shuttles at 6:00am to make sure everyone got to the airport. Highly recommended.

Probably one of the worst stays I've had a hotel in my lifetime. Positive: The staff were nice. Negative: EVERYTHING ELSE. My room was almost clean - one towel had a blood stain and some hair on it. Good thing I noticed the blood towel before using it on my face. The entire floor STANK of rotten food. It is clear that the hotel is housing refugees - which is fantastic - but there was no notification of this to me before reserving or during the check-in process. Parents and kids were running down the halls well past midnight, giant trash cans in front of the elevators, papers taped to walls, knocking on doors at 7am for wake up, and more. $22 for overnight parking was a scam, could have left it in the lot across the street for free. WI-FI was slow and spotty, do not rely on it if you have any important meetings. This is the first time I'm attaching pictures for a place just to show how I could have stayed at a motel for half the price and had a better experience.

We were booked here by an airline after a flight cancellation. First experience was the shuttle to the hotel, the reservation e-mail we were given the only instructions had to call the hotel, we called, explained our flight was cancelled and we were booked there, were quickly told to go to pillar 41 and to wait. Twenty minutes went by and we saw the shuttle go right by us without stopping. Called back to the hotel and they said to continue waiting and they'd page the driver. We ended up trying to call back 3 more times, only getting through once, when we clearly explained we were waiting at departures pillar 41, told to continue waiting. After 1.5hrs we spoke to a driver from another company who told us we needed to be on the ground floor at arrivals. At no time did any company employee tell us which floor to be on to get picked up even though we told them twice where we were (and we weren't the only ones). They always seemed to be rushing to get us off the phone. Got there and finally got picked up by the shuttle 2hrs after our first call which was then crowded with people standing even in these COVID times. After all the waiting we missed any opportunity we had to have a sit down dinner. Check in was simple enough, although we were given no information except our room number (no check out time, etc). We told the employee our experience waiting 2hrs for the shuttle and were just informed she'd inform the manager. Room was decent but bathroom was very small and our toilet would run. Also no information in the room about amenities etc, and next to no information on their WiFi landing page either. Hall was filthy with dishes and garbage left outside people's rooms. Check out was simple as well.

Fancy looking hotel for 130 cad a night. stayed at this hotel because we had a lay over in Ontario. Spacious and clean room. furnitures and fixtures are updated. they got complimentary water inside the room which is a plus for me. offers free shuttle pick up from the airport. It also has a small pool to enjoy. Employees are accomodating. Kudos!

Very welcoming environment. Room was clean and bright. By far, the service was the best part. Stood out from other hotels. After a long day of traveling and having multiple flights get canceled, we got an incredible welcome from Nazmat at the front desk. She went out of her way to ensure our needs would be met, she had an amazingly friendly demeanor, and she went above and beyond to ensure our stay at the hotel would be as optimal as possible. Thank you!

It’s a big property and very busy. The rooms and common areas looked like they’ve been recently renovated and very well appointed. Catching an early flight the next day so that’s why I opted to stay here because of its proximity to the airport and within walking distance to 3 or 4 great restaurants. Elite status to the hotel’s loyalty program was acknowledged during the checking in process and getting upgraded to a better room category was nice. The young lady that checked us in was very welcoming and efficient. The parking fee was a little pricey but very normal for hotels by the airport. Would stay here again for sure.

I landed after travelling 18 hours. I booked a stay at this hotel. The hotel is fine and the location is good if your travelling but that is where it stops. Reception was very friendly when they were taking money from me. However I came down and was asking if they had matches or a lighter. The receptionist told me it's a non smoking property and moved on to something else. I then asked the restaurant who told me the same thing. No one asked what I needed it for and where I could buy one near by. Compound that with security constantly asking me what room I am in and following me to my room twice and you get a really bad experience. I have never wanted to leave a hotel so badly. Too bad I paid for three nights..

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! It is basically a refugee camp. You will feel very unsafe if you have a family with you. There are security guards all over the place to make sure nothing happens. On the week days, the lobby is complete chaos with all the refugee children getting on buses to go to school. You will also experience NO HOT WATER, it is lukewarm at best. I was told by the gentleman from maintenance that too many people are using it and not enough hot water for all. The Mgr. tried to be a little more diplomatic and said the bldg. is older and they are working on it but have had many experiencing no hot water. Both the Mgr. and maintenance man came to my room so I could show they and have it on record. On top of it all, even if the hotel had hot water and wasn't a refugee camp, this hotel is still terrible, it is older, dirty, small uncomfortable beds etc. There are many options by the airport actually cheaper that are much better than this place on it's best day so DO NOT STAY HERE!

    - The room was extremely small. 2/3 size of the official photo. I couldn’t close the washroom door because there was only 3 inches between the door and the toilet. I am a small person but I still needed to step on the toilet lid to get out of the washroom. - I found a big chunk of animal hair as soon as I went in to the room. - The ice room was nasty.. orange juice was spilled on the floor and my shoes got so sticky. I went back to the ice room on the next day but no one cleaned it and the stinky orange juice was still all over the floor. The restaurant was nice but I couldn’t enjoy the stay at this hotel.

Warning!! Do not stay here if you value your safety and property. Travelled to Toronto for an hockey tournament. Arrived at hotel to find an abundance of security guards and refugees loitering about the hotel. Immediately felt as if I was being marked or watched by both security personnel and guests. Woke up to find that my vehicle was stolen out of its front row parking spot not 30-40 ft from front door with cameras and security personnel watching it. A hotel van driver witnessed the theft and alerted security and hotel management. However the police were not called until over 2:00hrs later when I realized the vehicle was stolen. There is something very suspicious about the whole situation there. Find yourself a safe hotel and read the reviews!

This is a refugee camp and I would advise against choosing this accommodation. During my recent business stay, I paid nearly $400 per night and encountered several concerning issues. The environment resembled more of a refugee camp than a hotel, with dirty elevators, unattended children freely roaming the lobby, and even an incident where one child knocked me over. The grounds were littered with garbage, and there was a general sense of overcrowding and disarray, with people loitering everywhere. To make matters worse, I found urine on the elevator floor last night. Additionally, nearby restaurants expressed similar complaints about the area. It would have been appreciated if the management had informed us about these conditions beforehand, allowing us to make an informed decision about whether to stay here. Unfortunately, my five-night stay here has been far from pleasant and has felt significantly overpriced.

This was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. We booked in April 3 nights for a hockey tournament in July. We were not informed that for the past month, it has become a refugee hotel. Refugee children were running the hotel & elevators all hours of the day & night. They had zero boundaries and we felt swarmed our entire stay. Children were using parking lot as a playground until after 1am. We got little sleep. The entire hotel smelled bad. The 3rd day, they closed the pool & they turned the power out from 10pm until 8:30am for generator testing. Our rooms were pitch black. No wifi, no power, nothing. Our food in the fridge was no good to eat. I slipped and fell in the lobby when they mopped the floor and failed to put a sign up. Spoke to management and no effort has been made to rectify this. It was a nightmare. Zero stars.

The staff was great, but the room was motel standard at best. Towels, water bottles and coffee maker were missing (all quickly resolved by the staff). The room is small, dirty and unmaintained. Shuttle to the airport was quick and on time.

Being a manager in the customer service industry, there is absolutely nothing more I enjoy celebrating than an amazing experience. Recently, my partner and I travels and were unfortunately diverted to Toronto due to bad weather in our destination province. The airline accommodated us at a hotel, which we had an awful experience at and decided to leave. Upon departure, we still required a room and were suggested to The Crown Plaza Toronto Airport as it was one of few with availability given the diversions. IT WAS A CHOICE I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT REGRET!!! This hotel was the best diversion ever. Firstly, I was happy that they had a convenient shuttle service that was available 24/7. The shuttle was prompt each trip and the driver was exceptionally friendly, professional and helpful. Upon arrival at the hotel we were absolutely proud at how each staff member that passed took the time to greet us with a smiling face. I also admired and appreciated how the hotel quickly jumped into action, accommodating us and many other guests last minute.. They offered to store our luggage while we wait for our room so that we didnt need to lug it around. They understood how frustrating and hectic traveling can be, and how disappointing a delay can be and did everything they could to turn things around. I really appreciated that they went above and beyond to prepare the rooms, allowing us to check us in even before the usual check in time, at no additional cost. From our arrival to checking out the staff was top notch. Literally everyone was super friendly and exceptionally helpful. There was no request that they didn’t go above and beyond to make happen. From the housekeeping staff who were friendly and quite humorous to the front desk. It was such a wonderful experience. The rooms were modern, beautiful and super clean. I especially enjoyed watching the planes fly over onto the runway from my room. The bed was perfectly tucked. In fact, it was so neatly and tightly tucked that I joked with my partner about being certain I wouldn’t fall out the bed even if I tried haha. We also really enjoyed eating at the cannery. We had the calamari, seafood chowder, the soup of the day which was a creamy spinach soup as appetizer; and then for our entree we ordered the 10oz steak and a four cheese penne pasta. I could find no flaws with any of it! Everything was perfectly seasoned and well presented. Our waiter (I believe his name was Abhu but please forgive me if I got it wrong on Feb 30) was AMAZING!!! He was in charge of serving the entire restaurant and yet still found the time to assist us and check up on us regularly. He was a gem and definitely one of the best serving staff we’ve ever encountered. Down to earth. Humourous and exceptionally professional! I absolutely will be back to this hotel… and will be sure to share the awesome experience with my friends. Special shout out to the staff for a phenomenal job especially the General Mgr ALYONA, who absolutely blew me away! She deserves a bonus, promotion and a raise!!! I was amazed at the detail she took into greeting and interacting with each and every person seated in the lobby. I especially appreciated her walking around and asking if there was anything we needed to make our stay better and actually taking the effort to act on it, not just ask. She embodied exceptional customer service and it honestly did not surprised me that the staff followed suit. Everyone seemed happy to be at work and interact with each other and the guest. I honestly wish I was exaggerating but this really was how amazing an impression they left on us! I also wanted to shout out the housekeepers namely the Jamaican lady with the gold hair. I didn’t get her name but she was so energetic and funny and was the best welcome to our room lol. Thank you again to the entire staff. You all are amazing !! This was certainly an experience I will never forever and always value.

Seeing the reviews on google I was hesitant…. We were out here by an airline, and honestly after reading some reviews would’ve have passed. But what a mistake I would made! The hotel was awesome!! Close and convenient to the airport . Rooms were clean and modern and the bed was super comfy . The staff were super accommodating and friendly. Food at the restaurant was good , the staff was friendly and the prices were decent . 5 out of 5 stars for me. And definitely will be stopping by next time we are and Toronto ! Thanks for the great service guys

Amazing staff, chhayya at the front desk was so helpful. We parked at this location for a week while we went to Cuba. Airport shuttle were clean and convenient. Shuttle driver dropped and picked us up with smile. Very happy with the parking at reasonable price. Definitely will use it again.

Wow - excellent service! I have to travel a lot for work and it's very rare that a hotel, especially one near an airport, stands out like this. The entire staff is so lovely - from check-in, to finding my room, to the restaurant staff, to check-out. I felt incredibly well taken care of. The rooms are clean and the location is very convenient if you're trying to get to the airport or attending a conference nearby. I will certainly be back!

Found bed bugs under the sheets and on the bed mattress. The hotel only offered to change the pillows and sheets not accommodation, Terrible customer service and cleanliness. The room looks nice but isn’t properly cleaned. There is also no covid protocol as individuals are arriving from other countries to seek refuge and everyone is all over.

Pretty amazing experience all around. Lobby was crazy busy with check ins and the two girls working, absolutely smashed it. To top it all off I forgot my credit card at the counter and got a nice friendly phone call that she had it. What can I say about the shuttle bus driver. Such a nice man. Helped with the luggage and then stopped when he heard me whistle so I wouldn't have to wait another half an hour and then hauled my luggage again. Great location and close to some bars and restaurants. Will definitely stay here again.

Very nice hotel. I was very impressed with the room as it was quite clean, sleek and modern. I didn't stay in the biggest of rooms, but it was more than sufficient for my needs and quite comfortable. The only reason for a 4 star vs 5 star rating is that the bar closed fairly early, so after checking in and dropping my bags in the room around 11:00pm, I was unable to unwind with a drink.

We had a very comfortable stay. The beds were great and the room was very clean as well. Overall a great experience. It was interesting watching the planes coming in for a landing. Picture of the airplane was taken looking out of my room's window

The location of the hotel from the airport is great. It's about a 6 minute drive from the hotel to the airport. The rooms were very clean. There's a gym there that has a fee treadmills, a bike, some dumbbells, and one of those pulley systems. There's also a restaurant and a pool inside. Parking is about 22 CAD a day.

  • 2/5 Lloyd M. 5 months ago on Google
Ok, if you’re only spending one night, and need to catch a flight the very next day. Service was meh at best, the rooms are over priced, small, and not laid out properly. At least, the rooms were very clean. Also, you can hear airplanes throughout the night. The pool was cold and the room service is very limited. Don’t recommend for more than a night, and definitely not somewhere you would stay on a family vacation.

I was attending a Dog Show at the International Centre and the Crowne Plaza was the hosting hotel. Right from check in the service was amazing and so nice. Even though only here for the weekend housekeeping popped by while I was at the show and tidied up. While the room wasn't messy or dirty the tiding was so much appreciated. Housekeeping went above and beyond ensuring that the blanket I was using was now made up in the bed.

Contrary to many of the other reviews about this hotel, I had an excellent stay at this hotel. I had an overnight layover at Pearson, and am so glad I checked into the Crowne Plaza rather than attempting to sleep in the airport. The room was clean, plenty spacious, and comfortable. If I was staying longer, I certainly would have given "The Cannery" on their first floor a try. They provide a 24/7 shuttle service with busses leaving the hotel lobby area every 30minutes on the top & bottom of the hour. Other commenters have made quite negative reviews about this hotel housing disruptive guests, but I did not find this to be the case at all. People I did briefly speak to in the common areas were pleasant but focused on their own business. Thanks for the stay!

Fairly nice hotel. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles but the recent renovations make a notable difference in the quality of your stay. I think we were just a bit unlucky that our room was right next to up elevator so noise and foot traffic were higher than desired. Very friendly service from employees and the complimentary shuttle to the airport (every 30 minutes) was a big perk. Small side note - avoid the 'market' next to the front desk. Checkout is easy but the cost of items is very higher; for reference, the airport will be cheaper for the items offered.

Stayed here for an early morning flight. Room was nicely updated and the hotel felt modern and clean. The best part is they have an airport shuttle that leaves every 30 minutes, all day long. The price was the best in the area at the time, and there are many restaurants very close to the hotel, I did not try the one in the hotel.

I got a free night in this hotel after my Air Canada flight was cancelled. As it was free I was not expecting much, but it was actually very good. Nice big room, huge TV, and a contemporary bathroom and all very clean. Tea and Coffee included too. Breakfast was very reasonable.

This was an excellent hotel with exceptional service. Nice restaurant/bar on the ground level, and a very spacious and clean lobby area. The view from the runway suites was awesome, the room had been recently renovated and was extremely clean. They also have a really nice and up to date pool area. If your in the Toronto area and need a hotel near the airport this your place.

I just had to write a review because our experience was so bad. felt very uncomfortable not like I’m at a hotel, but at a creepy apartment building? I believe it’s housing immigrants but it was so awkward… getting down from the elevators every floor was people coming in an out, people were doing laundry on our floor, sleeping in the hallway, staring as if they’ve never seen guests there lol, and it was just noisy. Our room air quality was horrible, we both felt sick and got a headache. there was some dust or something in there we just had to leave Midnight because we could not stay there all night. On top of that you gotta pay $28 dollars for parking and you’re greeted by a bunch of kids on bikes, people sitting outside in groups in and out just a weird experience.. never again. Location with scaddabush and Boston pizza is nice tho I’ll give it stars for that.

Our stay at the hotel was deeply disappointing, and it unfortunately had a detrimental effect on both my wife and me. The rooms were stiflingly stuffy and poorly ventilated, which not only made us uncomfortable but also contributed to us falling ill. Moreover, the poorly maintained air conditioning system exacerbated our discomfort. To make matters worse, our room was not adequately cleaned, and we were disheartened to find evidence of vaping having taken place in the room, which likely contributed to our illness. Additionally, a pungent and unpleasant odor pervaded the hallways and elevators, adding to the overall unpleasant atmosphere of our stay. This overall experience was nothing short of a letdown, and we sincerely hope the hotel addresses these issues to prevent future guests from falling ill as we did.

Security was everywhere and lots of food waste dropped in the stairwells, still there after a day. Partially redecorated rooms but my washroom door was clearly not repainted and didn't close, and there rooms were dark. Old windows that don't block constant noise all night and then aircraft takeoff noise that starts promptly at 6:30am each day. A shuttle from hotel to a local business was prearranged, and confirmed each day. But 2 days in a row, this did not occur and our group waited 1/2 hour for taxis, making us late for meetings. 6 or 7 years ago this was a reasonable place, but no more. I would not recommend staying here.

  • 3/5 Benjamin S. 8 months ago on Google
Several other people have mentioned it, but yeah upon arrival, there were security guards everywhere, patrolling the lobby and hallways. I also found it very funny and odd how barely anyone else who was a normal tourist or visitor stayed at the hotel. That was something I took note of when I was on the shuttle, as everyone else got off at the more glamorous Sheraton. Other than that, room was fine and decent for the stay near the airport. Airport shuttle runs roughly every 30 minutes. Service could have been better.

We were put up in this hotel by Air Canada due to a flight cancellation. The shuttle from the airport to the hotel was spotty. It seemed to run less frequently than the shuttles for other hotels. The front desk person Muhammad was extremely cordial and professional. He gave us paper bags full of water, granola bars, and bottled water which was nice. However, we found it odd on our way to our rooms that there were several security guards working in the lobby. There were also roped off areas leading to the elevators. We learned later that the hotel may have a contract to house refugees and asylum seekers. One of the security guards gave us a cryptic explanation that they were there because of the refugees. We are still unclear why there was such a need for security. Interestingly, we had to get up very early to catch our flight, and there were no security guards in the lobby at that time. We were put on the top floor which seemed like a special floor for “regular” guests. The rooms were fine for the money. The TVs were glitchy. The bathrooms were decent but not cleaned all that well (there were a lot of long hairs on the floor). I would never stay here again voluntarily, but it was satisfactory for having been put up by Air Canada. As an aside, Air Canada is a terrible airline.

What a wonderful hotel! Had a layover stay Feb 24/2023 & it is very close to the airport with 24/7 shuttle service. Great restaurant with a bar area to enjoy a beverage & meal or snack in the evening after a long flight. Went for breakfast as well and the service & food was at a very high level. The staff working Saturday morning (Feb 25) was the best service I have received in a long while. Food was exceptional as well as the service. Can’t say enough, what a pleasant experience. I highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel was absolutely disgusting. I found not one, TWO cockroaches during my stay. Staff was rude and kept interrupting my concerns. Their solution to the cockroaches was moving me on my last night to a new room which was extremely inconvenient for me. Not only was the room infested, every time I went down to the lobby to leave or enter, I was constantly harassed by COSTI clients that reside in the building. Security with 0 customer service experience would not hold elevator doors and would stand in the way. The pool was inaccessible with regular key cards and upon inquiring with front desk, the front desk staff racially profiled my hotel mate and immediately told him that the pool is not for COSTI clients as if colored people are all immigrants. I would rather sleep outside than stay in this hotel again. There are many other hotels in the area that have pools, free breakfast, and friendly staff. please book elsewhere.

We enjoyed staying here. The decor is clean and recently updated. The room was very nice. The bathroom was very good, see video. It was clean and though small, it has a large shower. It is very close to the airport. The planes were noticable at first but were not annoying.

We stayed at the beginning and end of our trip, using the park and fly option. The shuttle to and from the airport was appreciated. The beds were comfortable and we had great nights' sleeps. When we arrived back from our trip, at midnight, they gave us treat bags. This was MOST appreciated as we had not had dinner and the restaurant was closed. A nice touch. We will definitely stay here again.

We arrived here after a long trip in a blizzard to a nice comfy bed and impeccably clean space. They were accommodating with a late check out given our late arrival at 3am. This is the second time we have stayed before or after a trip and we're quite happy. My only constructive criticism is regarding the airport shuttle. They were wonderfully prompt with airport pickup and friendly, but they crammed a bunch of us with lots of luggage inside the bus then picked up a large group of 12 people from a different location (who were going to the airport) BEFORE dropping off our group to the hotel. It was a crush of people and bags we had to push through to get off the bus. These 2 points were only a couple minutes apart so I think the driver could have easily dropped off our group first before picking up the large outbound group (or at least instructed us to sit at the front of the bus). It would have avoided some stress and confusion. Otherwise very pleased with our experience.

I had an excellent stay at this hotel. My flight was cancelled and I had so much going on that morning really making me stressed. But I was able to book this hotel on such short notice. The shuttle service is incredibly fast and on time, and the driver is such a warm hearted individual. While I did have some trouble navigating through the lobby a Gentlemen named Maathu was kind enough to greet me by the elevators and showed me to the gym and pool. The gentlemen made sure to call the elevator immediately so I can get to my room quickly which brought up my mood. The room size was perfect and extremely cleanly, unlike the other reviews I have seen the room was very tidy and the bed was very comfortable. The restaurant staff were accommodating and were kind enough to provide complimentary breakfast. I will definitely be looking forward to staying here if I have a layover. Thank you 🙂
