Fabulous 7-night stay for family! Very well located, near highway and all needed amenities. Breakfast is good, exactly what you'd expect for a Marriott with nice changing selection of hot options. Pool is great, but I think the chlorine levels are a bit high (my kids spent hours in the pool almost daily and got some mild rashes after several days, so we may have overdone it).

During our stay in Ottawa, we chose a hotel that catered to pet owners, and it turned out to be a fantastic choice. This establishment offered a safe and welcoming environment for both pets and their owners, all at a reasonable price. The booking process was a breeze, making it easy to secure our reservation. Upon arrival, we were delighted to find that the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating when it came to our furry friend. Their willingness to assist with pet-related needs made us feel at ease, knowing that our pet's well-being was a priority. One of the highlights of our stay was the high level of security provided by the hotel. We felt confident that our room was secure and that no unauthorized individuals would enter. This peace of mind allowed us to relax and enjoy our stay to the fullest. Speaking of the rooms, they were impeccably clean and tidy. Not a single trace of pet hair could be found, which is a testament to the hotel's attention to cleanliness. It was evident that they take great care in maintaining a pristine environment for all guests, regardless of whether they bring pets along or not. As breakfast enthusiasts, we were pleased with the hotel's morning offerings. While not exceptional, the breakfast provided a satisfying start to the day. On days when sausages were available, the quality improved compared to days with omelets. Overall, it was a great breakfast experience, catering to a variety of tastes and dietary preferences. The hotel's swimming pool proved to be a fantastic amenity. Despite the presence of energetic children, the water was consistently hot and relaxing. It provided a soothing retreat for unwinding and taking a break from exploring the city. In summary, this pet-friendly hotel exceeded our expectations in terms of safety, cleanliness, and overall comfort. The easy booking process, attentive staff, and secure environment were commendable. While the breakfast was good but not outstanding, it still provided a satisfying start to the day. Finally, the relaxing swimming pool added to the overall positive experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to any pet owner seeking a hassle-free and comfortable stay in Ottawa.

Perfect place for a quick getaway to relax. You can enjoy the pool or hit the exercise room, great little breakfast in the morning. Staff are great. Rooms are clean and fresh

Overall the place was ok. Nice gym, nice and well equipped rooms with full kitchen. Great breakfast. Although I wouldn't recommend the room with the pull out sofa. It was really uncomfortable. Just a few cons, the pool was tiny and I think they need more staff for busy weekends. I understand there were a lot of kids in the hotel but they couldn't keep up with the cleaning.

For a Marriot, I was expecting better. We stayed there for 2 nights. Yes the rooms were big and updated. The location was also great. However, the carpets were not properly vacuumed and the handles on the cupboards were dirty on both rooms. One of my drinking glasses also had someones lip marks on it. The worst part of the experience was the breakfast. The only fresh fruit they had were oranges one day. These were all half rotted on the inside. When you couple this with the fake rubber eggs, it wasn't a nice lasting impression of this Marriot. If your not going to offer fresh fruit at your breakfast, then don't advertise strawberries and fruit salad on the Marriot App photos.

Nice hotel. The room was spacious and very clean. There was a mini fridge and a microwave. Was surprised at how quiet it was which was a huge bonus. The bed was very comfortable, lots of parking outside, off the main drag, even though it's close to shopping and the freeway, it was not loud at all. Felt like it was a very safe area. Breakfast and the pool were great. Traveled with a family and it was perfect.

Ok, so i'm a pretty fussy person and here is my review. I stayed here with several hockey teams on a weekend and I was on crutches. I expected noise but it was quiet. This place has wonderful, friendly, accommodating staff. Clean room with the most comfortable soft beds. A terrific kitchen. A full table to sit for meals. Hot breakfast, with many breakfast options. I had a lovely veggie omelet with toast! Dishwasher, pet friendly. Silly as it sounds I loved the shower, and their shampoo and conditioner were excellent quality compared to other hotels. The pool and gym were very nice and clean. I felt spoiled here. We loved our stay and will absolutely come back.

We came up for the weekend and had booked 4 rooms. From the time we went to the front desk and were met by Chin & David we were treated so well. Are rooms were spacious and clean. Love the idea of the stove top, fridge, dishwasher & microwave. During our stay we dealt with Valentino he was wonderful as well. The breakfast in the lobby is great as well Great place to stay close to the mall. Keep up the great work Sarah

Stayed here for 4 days on a business trip. My only mistake was agreeing to stay on the ground floor which meant that there was a lot of noise (doors slamming, cars running, toilets flushing) and there is a lot of construction in the area which added to the noise throughout the day. The room was nice, spacious and clean with everything I needed. The staff were pleasant. The bathroom and shower were great. The bed was good but the pillows are terrible. The breakfast was pretty basic - toast, coffee, cereal, sausages, powdered eggs, yogurt and juice - same every day. The hotel is pretty close to a power centre so shopping and gas are pretty close by. It's very close to the highway, so easy to get where you're going.

The checkin was seamless. She explained everything about breakfast and the pool. The room was spotless and the mattress very comfortable. My kids LOVED the breakfast buffet. As for the location, it was a very short drive to Ottawa. I highly recommend!!

Small suites with kitchenettes (medium fridge, 2 stove tops, microwave, sink) filled with plates, bowls, mugs, pots and pans and cutlery. Basic items included. Soap and shampoo. Grill available outdoor. Convenient suites for families and pet lovers as the hotel is pet friendly. Free parking lot. Laundry (at a fee) on ground floor. Be mindful that the cleaning isn't daily and poorly done. Under the bed was extremely dirty, including a bottle lift left from a previous customer. The suites would benefit from frequent deep cleaning especially with the animals going through. Some rooms had two large dogs. Small window opening to air out.

Not many options for breakfast food. The clerks make you put your initials on this waiver form at check-in for extra policies which you don't really have the time to read properly and charged me an extra $56 at check out without informing you properly. I really don't appreciate sneaky tactics like that and won't be seeing me again. BS!

We've stayed here on a number of occasions with our family and dog. Staff have always been friendly, attentive and going out of their way and offering to be helpful.

I stay at a lot of Marriotts and always enjoy this one. It’s a standard hotel but everything is done right. Very clean, comfy beds and well managed. Highly recommend.

Booked a queen suite for my business needs for a couple of days. The morning complimentary buffet was good. Would have been great if more options were added like pancakes or waffles. I got my suite in 5th floor so got an awesome view with peaceful sleep. Good service.

Great stay! Clean rooms and friendly service. They even had a baby high chair along with the classic wooden ones.

I enjoyed a lot of the amenities in the room (The kitchen and the living space). The hotel seems to be fairly new. Breakfast on the weekend is terrible. No fruit, and the only hot item were pancakes. It’s definitely not family friendly though. There’s a small area to the right of the front door where people smoke cigarettes, marijuana, and mostly use profanity so you have to walk through a wall of smoke upon check-in. The smokers also use the patio as a big smoke pit, so you’re not able to relax there either. It’s a shame because I would have enjoyed using the grill. Although marijuana is legal in Canada, I certainly don’t want to have to walk through it EVERY time I enter/exit the hotel. Nor do I want to hear the foul language. There are signs in both areas clearly stating no smoking or vaping.

Nice hotel, clean, and staff were friendly. Rooms could use a facelift. Some peeling wallpaper, and dated furniture.

Staff were absolutely amazing, the breakfast wasn't that great not many options,. Bedroom does not have a bath only a shower. However staff made up for it.

Comfortable room in a newer hotel. Desk is good to work at. Shower is large and modern. Services and transit within walking distance at Kanata Centrum. Consistently busy so make sure you have a reservation. Hockey teams on weekends can be noisy in the halls.

Conveniently located in Kanata. Easy on and off from Hwy#417. Quick checkin and room is well maintained as per description provided while booking. Staff is friendly and courteous to explain all the facilities.

Great staff, great rooms nice and neat. At the breakfast, there was no more breakfast sandwiches left and the staff went out of their way to cook us some more even tho breakfast was done! Absolutely brilliant :)

The first thing to note: I did not stay at the hotel, I am purely writing this review based on the events my brother had with the front desk service. Ingrid was the one who answered my brother's phone call at 12:15pm on 23-08-2022 Backstory: My brother was going on vacation to celebrate his anniversary with his girlfriend and needed to attend an event in Ottawa. They booked for the days of Thursday 25 - 28 Sunday and were very excited to spend the weekend together. On Tuesday morning he received the devastating news that one of his closest friends had passed away. Obviously, this puts the trip in question because the funeral is on an unknown date and he NEEDS to attend it. The goal of what my brother wanted was an extra 24 hours -36hours to know if he needs to cancel or not. After my brother told Ingrid the situation, there was no empathy at all. No "Sorry for your loss" no sense of condolences at all. All that was said was "Oh if you read our policy... Our policy says that you need a notice of 48 hours one day ahead of time. And if not you will be charged a fee for canceling no matter what" First of all, I understand that you have a policy and that Ingrid probably has no control of what she can approve vs not approve; I still do not think that is right. There was no comprise for m brother that just learned about the news of his good friend that died. There was no giving a credit, allowing him to have an extra day and a half to learn more about the funeral situation, none of that; just a total disregard for the whole situation. At least ACT like you can help accommodate him in his time of need, and now just refer to the policy of the hotel. If you're dealing with the public, you have to have some common sense in order to keep customers. After learning this Information I will never recommend TownePlace suites or Marriott to my associates ever again. I personally will be switching my business endeavors to the Hilton chain. Very disgusted with this and will keep this story living with whoever is in need. He wasn't asking for much, and this hotel could not accommodate him, if the manager agrees with how the situation was handled please feel free to leave a reply. Mitchel Macmillan

Definitely a 5 star stay at this hotel. Service and accommodations were top notch! The massive shower was a beauty but I was disappointed their wasn't a tub! Overall it was an amazing experience and I'd return again!

Friendly staff, comfortable bed, fully stocked kitchen made for an excellent 10 night stay. Big room, clean hotel, great location, free parking and a free tasty breakfast. There was even on site laundry. Loved our stay!

Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Common areas were clean and organized with a good selection of amenities. Rooms were clean and modern. Other than a full size stove, it could be an apartment. Decent selection of dinner and cook wares. Great desk, lots of organized storage. All in all, if you're traveling for business, it's everything you need. Highly recommend!

Great hotel with friendly staff and a good complimentary breakfast. They were unfortunately short staffed during our visit but so is everyone else. The rooms were nice . There was 4 of us staying in a 2 queen room. We only wished our lounge chair was a pullout couch like some other rooms were. Pool was on the small side as well (max 4 feet) but it was nice.

I was visiting a guest in hotel. It is accessible by bus but it is designed for car drivers (no room for large trucks). There is a large room for meals but only breakfast is available. The room I saw was generously sized and quiet in early evening. However, my friend was there with a sports tournament so some folks may not like those teens as guests. Lovely looking pool. They have an accessible suite which accommodates flashing doorbell for deaf guests.
