    My wife got a watch for me for a price of $446 from this store. Then I went there and they resized my watch, after that the lady working there told me you cannot give it back anymore.The day after, I found the same watch at the Amazon for $311. I went there but they didn't accept the watch nor they matched the price. The discounts in the store are all fake. Even with the discount it was $130 more expensive than amazon. Never decide buying something by looking at the discounts.

    I went in the tanger location on Saturday and it wasn’t very busy at all and the customer service me and my sister received was horrible.. there was a lady she was short & stubby had short hair and glasses I asked her to see the children ear rings and as she pulls them out I’m looking at them I’m asking her if there’s more she takes the ear rings puts them back slams the locked door and walked away and started talking to a co worker and didn’t come back… before then my sister had asked her to look at 2 necklaces and she immediately started pressuring my sister into getting a flexity card after my sister had told her no at least 3 or 4 times. She was very rude and didn’t care to help us at all. Will never come to this location again will always go to Bayshore location.

    A little annoyed as I brought my rings in for resizing and was quoted 855.. which fine I knew I’d have to pay. They had it for almost 4 weeks then get an email saying there was an issue with the vendor and it didn’t get done (fine things happen) sent it to a new vendor but wasn’t informed that there would be a price change.. an additional $200. When I found out I emailed and called them because now my rings have been gone for almost 2 months. Emails went unreturned and my phone call was also not returned. Finally pick up my rings and they just weren’t pleasant to deal with and walked out paying almost 1100. Just not great communication and don’t return calls or emails. Is what it is, have my rings and will go elsewhere if any other issues arise.

    Bought the ring no problem and I love it. Bought the warranty, extra $$$ for that. Had to send it out for sizing, one size smaller, they say 6 weeks. I think that’s outrageous to begin with because it’s only going to Montreal (apparently we have no decent jewellers in Ottawa.) 9 weeks later still no ring . 3 phone calls later(3rd one not so friendly) because no one calls you back to inform you of what is going on ,it should be here next week. We’ll see.. My point is this… if you don’t get the warranty they guarantee nothing. If you do buy it you are at their mercy to send it out of province to inspect it 3 times per year or to have it repaired. Buy from a local jeweller who will do the repairs themselves . Due diligence

    It took eight weeks to resize my ring. I was quoted six (still an obscene amount of time) and they didn't bother to warn me about it taking longer. No worries, I'm patient. I got the ring back today and the craftsmanship is weak. Noticeable sizing mark on the ring and they stripped the inside of the manufacturer's markings (not sure if that is normal). I was told virtually nothing about the process. The customer service was also rushed and they provided no detail on how the process would go down. Give ID, sign here, and goodbye. I would not recommend this company.

    The selection is boring. I've come in a few times looking specifically for pieces with the birthstones of my wife and myself, while also keeping an eye out for anything interesting. Everything is very muted and boring. I'm sure the preferred nomenclature would be "dainty" or "delicate" but the boldest pieces they have are in the rings and even then it's maybe a few bands arranged in a neat way with no interesting goldwork. The preference is definitely towards showing off single or small clusters of stones with the gold just there to support it. It would be nice to see pieces that are more expressive with their gold. I've brought this directly to their representatives but they tell me it's just not what customers want. The staff has been continually rude and I've come to realize it is not a good place to go for servicing jewelry like polishing or resizing as they become pretty vile when they realize you're not there to buy. One of their representatives even implied that I should probably not waste my(their) time by coming to them. It's definitely not a safe place just to browse because you will be repeatedly hounded and then stared down until you leave or make a purchase.

    I went in with my friend as I lost my engagement ring (previously purchased from this location) and was looking to purchase a replacement ( which I explained to the staff). I had to ask for help although there were two employees available and the person was short and literally walked away from us to go help a couple that just walked in. We kept looking at the rings while another worker sat right in front of us ignoring us. This all changed when I called my husband and asked to join. The moment we walked into the store we had two people helping us with enthusiasm, showing us options and engaging fully. So although the experience ended well, the beginning was enough to make me want to shop elsewhere out of spite.

    Peoples took my ring for a cleaning June 22. July 13, I was called to pick it up- the diamond was cracked during transit back to the store. So it was sent back for a new diamond. By mid August I started inquiring about the ring. After trying to call, use their live chat, and email with no luck- I wrote my story on their FB wall. Someone got back to me and within a week I was contacted by email. The lady wasn't able to see my emails because she had a spam protection on her account and never authorized me as "safe". So my emails arrived to her encrypted. After a couple weeks she tracked my ring to the Jeweler. Where they told her it's waiting for a black diamond, which needs to be sourced because there are none right now. This could take 12+ weeks. I rescheduled my engagement photos 3x. The store manager offered me 3 options- wait.. pick a new ring... Or size the exact same ring from their store- rushed would take 2 weeks. I chose the exact same ring(even tho she pushed and pushed for me to pick a different one) but we had to wait for the diamondless one was returned for exchange before I could have the new one. I was got an email saying my ring was ready sept 10- when I arrived it was the ring without the diamond. I inquired on where the new one is- I was told they'd call the Jeweler Monday. On Monday I called them and no one had any idea they were supposed to make that call. Tuesday evening my ring arrived and I could pick it up. All I got was sorry when I picked it up. I still need an wedding band for myself and fiance. They could have offered a discount on those- instead they lost my business for life. Terrible service and no customer service for THEIR mistakes.

    If I could give this people’s no stars I would. I went to have my engagement ring cleaned today and one of the employees asked me if I still liked my ring….I was proposed to at Christmas with the most beautiful ring and to have an associate speak like that was horrible. I understand that maybe she was trying to make a sale as she proceeded to tell me I could trade it in. But I think the sales people need a reality check not everyone’s preferences are the same. I adore my ring and to have someone who works at the store it was purchased was not right. I will not be buying any other rings from this people’s.

    Stood in the store for over 10 minutes with staff just walking by me, no one acknowledged me at all, I was looking to upgrade my gold chain willing to spend a decent amount but no one said hello, or I’ll be right with you nothing… and 2 staff members weren’t even with anyone.. super disappointed to see how they treat their younger customers and will not be returning to this location.

    I seldom write negative reviews, as evidenced by my Google Review Profile, but I believe this incident merits attention. As a veteran, I value honesty and the accuracy of sensitive information, including items of significant importance. An engagement ring, for many, symbolizes a once-in-a-lifetime memory and a treasured possession, representing more than just monetary value. When I purchased the engagement ring, it symbolized not just a commitment, but also the realization of finding someone with whom I wished to spend the rest of my life. Along with the ring, I was provided a certificate detailing its specific qualities, perfectly matching my now-wife's dream. However, a recent experience four years later at Peoples in Orleans has left us deeply unsettled. During a routine inspection and discussion about an upgrade, we were shocked to learn that the specifications we believed our ring had did not match the store's records. This revelation was not only distressing but also made us feel deceived and taken advantage of. Fortunately, it was later clarified that our ring's certificate had been mismatched, but the incident has severely shaken our trust. We are now considering third-party verification due to this experience. Having been a loyal customer of Peoples, investing significantly in their jewelry, this incident has strongly discouraged me from future patronage. The lack of concern shown by the staff, aside from the Orleans clerk, was disheartening. I recommend Peoples re-evaluates its procedures to prevent such alarming errors in the future.

    I was helped by Irene and Salma, they were nice but very very pushy and persistent on me buying right away and signing up for the payment plan. Even though, I kept saying no to the payment plan. They kept pushing for it. Very disappointed in how they treated me. Will not be buying here and nor do I recommend anyone buying from here... unless you like getting pushed to buying right away and signing up for a payment plan

    This is the closest location to me as I don't live in Ottawa, which was why I visited this store. After this last interaction with Peoples at Tanger, I will no longer be returning to this store. I brought my rings in to be resized 2 weeks ago. The woman was extremely rude to my sister and I and didn't seem to have any knowledge on what she was doing. She told me my rings were 2 different sizes and that we could only resize one at a time. My husband bought the rings as a set and I got them both resized at the same time once before. She couldn't figure out which size they were, even though I told her and it was shown on my account record from the previous resizing. When I asked her questions, she wouldn't respond to me, or would just say 'mhm.' I left feeling very uncomfortable leaving my rings with her as I had a feeling they would come back incorrect. I was right. I picked my rings up last week and they're too small. I told the woman who I was dealing with they were too tight and her only response was 'Well at least they won't move.' I couldn't even get it on my finger properly. She then asked me if I wanted to wear them out....after seeing me not even be able to put them on my finger. I asked for a box and left. After multiple times having similar interactions with employees at this location, I will not be coming back. This location is in dire need of customer service training.

    Just wanted to say what a great experience I had with Irene . She answered all of my questions and I felt reassured giving her a family heirloom to get repaired. She took into consideration my comfort level and went as far as putting a rush on my piece so that I could have it back as soon as possible. I can’t thank you enough Irene.....It looks beautiful and every time I wear it I think of my aunt who I cherished deeply.

    The lady that served me was wonderful! She served me very well and was so pleasant to interact with. You need to have more people like this on your staff. She offered an amazing customer experience. I will certainly be back there! She’s a Caucasian lady that works at the store. She should be recognized and get a raise or promotion of some kind.

    My teen daughter bought me a beautiful bracelet for Christmas and sadly one of the stones fell out. This was around 2 months after receiving it. I went today to get it either fixed or exchanged and the older female staff person was really rude and totally manhandled the replacement bracelet. I am appalled at the terrible service I received.

    The staff are friendly and appear very knowledgeable. I’ve had mostly great experiences with this location so far. I have brought my ring in for inspections every 6 months for the last 2 years without issue. I also had to bring it for repair 3 month after I got it as a stone fell out. Repair was quick and I had my ring back in nearly 2 months. I lost another stone last week and have had to bring it in again for replacement diamond. Also getting it resized. Hoping I have a better experience than most people who’ve reviewed here 😳.

    I purchased a ring from the store and signed up for flexiti card. The lady who signed me up also included monthly insurance within the flexiti card without informing me and I was getting charged without knowing. This is scamming!!

    Best staff of any jeweler I have visited. Every time I've come in here I'm approached and asked if I need help, I'm treated well and happy when I leave. I find the prices here are very fair and the staff helps me save money on items off my wishlist. Helpful, would be an understatement. I will be back.

    I had an excellent experience at this jewelry store when I had to get a replacement for a damaged piece of jewelry (which was important gift). The staff was very accommodating and helpful, and they went out of their way to give a replacement even-if we missed first diamond inspection (unknowingly). I appreciate the effort they put in to make sure I was happy with the result. I highly recommend this store for their exceptional customer service and high-quality products. Kudos to Salma!

    My fiancé and I worked with Syeda to pick out our dream wedding bands. She was able to take our wishes and make them a reality with her amazing recommendations. We came from out of town just to work with her specifically. Outstanding customer service from her and she is extremely friendly.     I luckily have had no issues myself with the staff at peoples tanger. However, I went in with my friend as she recently lost her engagement ring and was looking to replace it. We had to go out of our way to ask for help, even though she had explained to the associates she was looking to replace her ring. She then picked out a few rings and asked if we could keep them out to compare some side by side. The associate did not listen and put every ring back right away. She was looking at the clearance section as this was a replacement ring ( she was looking at an originally $18,000 ring I should add) the associate says “have you looked at the actual bridal section” implying the discounted rings were a waste of her time. We ventured over to the bridal section, she lasted about two minutes with us Completely unengaged and uninterested in helping us. She never asked once what kind of style she was looking for, didn’t pull anything she thought would interest her, a couple walks in and she goes “ok you keep looking I’m going to help them” we stood around for another 2-3 minutes waiting to be properly helped and nothing. We then left, my friend called her husband, he came and met us at the mall (30 minute drive there) and when she walked back in with him they were oh so eager to help them out. Within 10 minutes they had a ring picked out and paid for. Although my fiend left with a new ring happy as can be I felt so bad for the experience she had 40 minutes before that. My sister in law also sent her ring away to be resized at this location (recently engaged) and it took 10 weeks to come back, every time she called looking for an update they were unable to give her one. She then got her ring back, not re sized, got her money back for the lifetime warranty and brought her ring elsewhere to get resized in two days. Moral of the story, you never know what kind of service you will get here. Don’t bother going without your partner.. and maybe just visit the Bayshore location instead.

    I went to look for rings a few weeks ago and the staff were nice and attentive. However, once their manager Salma was called in it became a different situation. She was extremely pushy, trying extremely way too hard to try to 1) buy the jewelry right away 2) pushed so hard to sign up for a Flexiti membership plan. I didn't need a payment plan since I had no issue paying for all the jewelry upfront. Despite this, she still persistently pushed the Flexiti registration "just so we have it". It was a relief once we were finally able to get out of the store. I'll never, ever shop at Peoples again.

    I wasn't served for 10min, though there were at least 3 members of the staff who were not serving other clients. I placed my order online and it was cancelled. When I called to aske why, the customer service didn't know a reason. I will take my business elsewhere.

    Veronica was an exceptional worker. I was having something repaired for my sister and I wanted to find a small gift that would match. Veronica was able to help me get the repairs done covered with my original service plan on the item and then helped find the perfect gift to go along with it. My sister was very happy and so was I as a customer. I would gladly visit this location again
