Beautiful new hotel. Excellent front desk staff especially Sébastien. Not only was he extremely hospitable he served our food to us on the nice patio and HE also cooked the food, very impressive. The room is definitely big enough, the bed was comfortable, the room divider adds a nice touch, you can sit on the modern couch and put your feet up. Gorgeous decorations and furniture on the main floor. I highly recommend staying at this new hotel.

Room was esthetically nice and very clean. the bed wasnt the best quality but was fine. Pool was freezing which made it really hard to enjoy. No hot tub (which I knew ahead of time). Very nice lounge and bar area but there was no bar tender on staff and the gentleman who did make us drinks although tried, they weren't good 😅 no fault of his. This is the nicer hotel in bells corners.

Very comfortable bed, clean room, there is a safe, an iron, ironing board, hairdryer, coffee maker. Amazing brew house next door for dining. Decent complimentary breakfast with bacon, eggs, pan fries, fruit, cereals, juices, coffee, tea and water. A drive to the city can be long, but location is perfect if you have business dealings at Carling Campus.

Very nice, looks pretty new. The room was well laid out, with a sofa and the beds. The only problem with the room was that the airconditioner was blowing right into one of the beds. Good breakfast, but very busy (the hotel was almost fully booked when we were there). Nice pool and gym. There is a restaurant called The Brew Table across the parking lot. Ate there in the evening, and it was really nice. In all, great place to stay.

Hotel itself is beautiful , front desk staff are good ... however their Assistant General Manager is completely unprofessional and should not be interacting with customers. The way I was spoken to was unacceptable and made me feel less than wanted, I have worked in the hotel business over 10 years of my life and to see this happen is disheartening. I even emailed their general manager regarding the situation and she completely avoided my complaint. I spent over 1500$ to stay their over 5 nights, did not get the value i paid for. Customer service includes how guests are treated as well as services offered.

Not kid friendly. Employees are rude and harassing to children. Employee swore at children in pool and front desk told children to stop talking and that it is a privilege that they are allowed to be in the hotel. Unacceptable behaviour. I’m not paying for my children to be mistreated by staff! Positive: rooms were clean and spacious enough. Too bad the staff leave much to be desired.

We were checked in by Ryan who is a “Gallery Host” at the hotel - what a bright, charming young man. Through all the hotels we’ve stayed at, not once have I encountered such “above and beyond” service. The way Ryan interacts with every guest is special, and judging by the constant smile on his face, he seems to love his job. The room was very clean, came with everything we needed (including a thermostat), the complimentary breakfast was great, and again the service alone was more than worthy of a 5 star review. I would highly recommend the Hyatt Place to anyone looking to book a hotel in Ottawa and look forward to coming back. I hope that when we do I get the pleasure of checking-in with Ryan again. Thank you for a great stay.

Blown away by this place. Took my son here and enjoyed every aspect of it. Staff were friendly and professional. Small thing but they all said hello to us as we passed them in the hallway. Very clean and modern feel. Close to many amenities to make our stay even better. The gym was one of the better ones I've seen in a hotel with free weights and lifetime fitness machines. Having breakfast included was a very nice perk as well as the free and ample parking. TV's were very good quality. Impressed beyond my expectations. Not to mention its a green hotel which makes us feel even better. Great work to Alison Hunter and the staff!

From the momment of check in to checkout, my stay at the Hyatt was awesome. I was greeted with professional, friendly and extremely helpful staff during my entire stay. No one was rude or unhelpful. The rooms upon arrival and when refreshed was extremely clean. Very impressed with the level of detail when cleaning the rooms. Beds were one of the best sleeps I’ve had when in a hotel. Great location, close to the highway. Breakfast was always crowded, food ran out fast close to the last hour of service, suggest waking up early if wanting to experience breakfast. Parking was never an issue. Very spacious, secure lot. Special thanks to Abdul, front desk staff. Abdul really excelled 5 star service. He represents the Hyatt company very well with friendly and helpful customer service. I felt instantly valued as a Hyatt member consistently by him throughout my stay and for these key reasons I would heavily suggest to book with Hyatt. All staff in fact mirror this quality service. I’ve already booked my stay for my next stay and look forward to staying with this stress free hotel.

Very pleasant experience! High quality standards. Clean room, decent breakfast, great view, good price. Would definitely recommend and would return as well! The only thing for improvement I would say, the pool needed to be better maintained. The water seemed a bit unclean. Maybe more frequent cleaning of the pool would lead to a better swimming experience! Thank you Hyatt place, was a great stay!

Room is good. The main sour point we had is mandatory $50/- security deposit which is unheard off. This is basically a trust issue. The money we will get back only after 7 days or so. after we leave the country. This is really demeaning to us. We were 20 people group. For every room we had to pay 50 CAD security deposit That too using credit card. Cash is not acceptable 😳

We appreciated having the option of a sofa bed. The hotel was in a quiet location, but still within walking distance of shops if you want, tho it would be easier to drive. If you do drive, there are many shops and restaurants close by. The breakfast is a wonderful option in the morning. Each day there are different choices - omelets, waffles, mini fritatas... Loved that there is a pool - also a full gym. Lots of parking. If you drive, its about 20 minutes from downtown - maybe a bit less, but still very accessible and easy to travel to and from. Quite spacious rooms - very big bathrooms which was great. Wish there was a microwave, but the was a fridge. No safe.

This is our 3rd time staying this at the hotel. Our stay this time was for 2 nights. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The buffet breakfast spread was good. I would also add a microwave to the breakfast counter so that people with small kids can warm/heat up milk or any other items especially during winter times.

This is a good hotel if you need to stay for one night. But do be warned: There are bedbugs in some of the room because there were bed bug protection sheets on top of the regular bed sheets (I requested to switch rooms after checking the mattress and finding some). Otherwise, the room was OK, service was good and food was great.

Our best stay in 10 days. Best continental breakfast. Better room than the Sheraton in Niagara Falls. Restaurant next door was excellent as well. Thank you. Oh yeah. The pool was wonderful first time I've seen a lift for those that can't get into the pool. High five on that one. Kudos

Very clean, recent hotel. Small bar with snacks area in the lobby. Complimentary breakfast is limited and not great. Convenient location if you are attending an event at Westley Clover.

Very clean and spacious hotel Breakfast was plentiful and excellent quality. It's close to downtown Ottawa by highway, and there's a big supermarket within 5 minutes away. Very good value for money and quality hotel

Recent weather events in the region triggered the need to bring some Disaster Restoration Technicians in from out of town. We offered our guests rooms at this property and found the entire experience exceptional. Thanks for taking such great care of our guests, everyone slept very well and appreciated the way they were treated by everyone at this property. We wont hesitate to book again.

The rooms are functional and the breakfast is ok. It’s got free parking so that’s pretty good. I was disappointed by the overall hospitality. I called them twice so they can arrange something special as we are celebrating our anniversary this weekend and they mentioned they will arrange for some cookies or wine for us. Upon arrival, I saw nothing. And when I asked the front reception, I was informed that as I booked through Expedia, they changed their minds lol I know hospitality in general in Canada is not at par with other countries but I was left quite disappointed with the miscommunication..

Between car alarms (1.5 hours so far) and screaming children running up and down the hallway this place fails to amaze as a business hotel. Plus there's no kitchenette (work probably messed this up), poor shower water pressure and the LED lights on the exterior of the building shine directly into the room.

Stayed at the Hyatt Place Ottawa for a quick night on our way to Quebec. The room was perfect for our family of 5 with 2 queen beds and a pullout couch. Our kids actually slept in and we let them keep sleeping, thinking breakfast was served until 10am. We thought breakfast was until 10am. When we came down Basel the chef was more than happy to serve up a enormous platter of French toast to our crew. He continued to check in with us. Both Eunice and Basel made our experience a 5 star. Exceptional team members!

Nice clean rooms and fantastic stay. Good breakfast options too. Only thing missing is that they don't give you body lotion but that's a minor inconvenience.

Really awesome hotel, on every aspect. The room is huge, with a fridge and a microwave. Beds are super confortable. Bathroom is clean and spacious. Bath products are premium quality and provided in a dispenser. One thing I really appreciatef being with a family: the door of the bathroom is QUIET, close and lock without waking up people. Breakfast is included, is delicious and offer a great variety of options. Fitness room is well equipped and is quite awesome even if its being renovated (which DOES NOT affect the service). Pool is clean and easy to access. Staff is courteous and very friendly, they do things very professionally, in the background, to make your stay a memorable experience. Honestly I already booked two more days because I dont think I can get a better hotel in the area!

While the hotel is newly renovated and looks nice, however after a 6hr drive and checked in, I was met by a room that was ransacked and not cleaned, needless to say we were not pleased and had to wait an hour for it to be cleaned at 9pm… we ordered dinner from the restaurant, after the front desk told us that the kitchen was closed but they would make an exception… the exception being that the lady at the front desk turned into a chef and cooked our food…. Without telling us that is what was happening. An hour later the food showed up at 10:30 pm and after two bites everyone threw it away as it was terrible. 6hr drive, frustrated and hungry… Save yourself the bother and stay in a hostel… it’s the same experience

I've stayed at the Hyatt Place Ottawa West, and I've stopped in as I was driving by to enjoy some drinks and food and every experience has been wonderful. The rooms are always clean, and they are upscale and the service by every employee has been fantastic. A special shout out to Victoria who served us the last time we stopped by who recommended the wings and a nice craft beer. She is always friendly and nice to chat with. Great service and a great hotel that I highly recommend. We will be back again very soon.

My name is Samiyah, I came to Hyatt Hotel after being disappointed by another hotel. The welcoming and warm greeting and the way Dresden and Elizabeth did above and beyond to make my family stay nice, smooth and pleasures was amazing. The two ladies should get a reward for the way they treat customers..loved them. The cleanliness is more that 10/10, the breakfast is delicious...the room is huge and super comfy.... Can't thank you enough for the awesome experience you have us ....you made my trip worth every penny... ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯

Friendly staff, very clean and comfortable beds/rooms. The pool was nice. The continental breakfast was extremely busy everyday of our visit. The staff really tried, but you can tell they struggled to keep things stocked up for everyone's demands.

Overall, a pleasant stay. The hotel looked very classy, and the room was a good size. The bathroom was very nice, and had a very modern look to it. The bed was an actual Queen size bed, not Full, and was comfortable. Parking was free, and it was quite easy to find spaces. The only negative thing was the food. The food was very terrible. The breakfast was not that great. During our last day, we skipped out on the breakfast due to how had it was, and got Tim Horton's instead. We ordered lunch at one point during our stay, which was also terrible. My son's fried chicken was raw. I had to go out to get him McDonald's to replace it. I ordered the wings, and it came with the sauce on the side rather than rubbed on the wings like in the food pictures. I wasnt even given enough sauce to go with it. My wife's pizza flat bread was cold when we got it. Don't let the pictures of the food fool you. The actual food looks nothing like their pictures.

Highly recommend this clean and modern hotel! Service was great, breakfast was great. My ONLY complaint was that the pool is not appropriate for younger kids as there is no shallow section. My 7 year old twins could not touch. No problem though as we went into the pool with them and still had fun. Front staff and cleaning staff were all so very nice. Would definitely stay again!

An absolute nightmare. I booked two rooms for some of my wedding guests. I called after booking to make sure they were booked and put the guests names on the bookings. The first guest arrives and has no issues checking in. There's a change in shift in between, the second guest arrives tonight and is barred from entry. They asked the guest to pay for the room again. I spoke to them on the phone, they said they would check them in. My guest calls me and says they still won't check them in. I had to go over there the night before my wedding to supervise their check in. It was remarkable the hoops they had us jump through. Addendum: After I wrote this review, I learned that they charged both rooms to one of the guests. So I had to go in again and give them my card again, for them to correct things again. This hotel is the only aspect of my wedding that I regret. Addendum 2: After I went in, they charged my guest AGAIN. I called, and they said they would send a form today to be filled. Didn't get anything. At this point, I feel like they are trying to be malicious.

We had a fantastic stay at Hyatt Place Ottawa-West thanks to Mario. He is an amazing manager and we would go back because of him. Initially, there was a problem with our reservation. We had booked 2 connecting rooms through Hotels.com. When we arrived, the manager on duty was unable to accommodate our request for connecting rooms and blamed us for using a third party to book our rooms. It was very disappointing. We were travelling as a family and wanted connecting rooms for the kids. The next morning, we approached the daytime manager, Mario. He took a quick look and found an easy solution that gave us what we needed. Thank you, thank you , Mario!! He followed up with excellent service that told us that our business was important and that our family was important. So the Hyatt Place gets a 5 out of 5 because Mario made the difference!!

Called ahead to arrange rooms side by side, as well as ground level rooms (traveling with friends). When we got there one family was on the 2nd floor and other family was on the 4th. When booking it stated CC wasn't needed for damage deposit, cash or debit was fine. That was not the case, one family didn't have a CC and it was a complete inconvenience. Girl at the front desk was clueless and rude. Would not recommend

Absolutely loved my weekend stay here. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful We enjoyed some adult beverages at the bar and great conversation with Sebastian and Sophia. Hotel was super clean, bright and the photos are wonderful. I love how they support local artists and business. We will most differently be back!

Fantastic new hotel located just off the 417. The staff is extremely friendly and the rooms are very comfortable and quiet. This is the first Hyatt Place I've stayed at that cares so much about the environment. No plastic bottles here! Refillable water bottle station at the door, they use sustainable energy sources such as solar panels and even have a honey bee hive on the roof. Great hotel, will definitely stay here whenever coming to Ottawa.

Hotel is very clean staff were all super friendly but the hot breakfast was absolutely insane. I waited in line for over 45 min and the hot breakfast was gone. All they had both mornings were "barely warm" waffles. Everyone in front of me was ordering 10 or more plates of bacon eggs sausages. You need a better system for the breakfast so everyone in line gets some. If my family got a hot breakfast I would rate you a 5 but I will never return because of this. Also I waited for over 30 minutes to get coffee both mornings. I understand being busy but staff need to be on top of that.

Nicely appointed new hotel with absolutely no soundproofing. Bring your earplugs if you want to sleep. We were awakened @ 1:30 am by the vivid sounds of our amorous neighbours. It required 2 calls to reception to get hold of someone. We heard every sound outside even though we were on the 4th floor. Someone had their dog a few rooms down, we heard it barking. So it would seem they put a lot of time, effort and money into making it look pretty...but no $ into sound proofing. Breakfast consists of cold cereal, fruits and toast. Not what I was expecting. Bed was comfortable and the reception was pleasant. (The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars)

Nice clean room and staff. Outdoor parking was free and has decent gym (weak air conditioning though). Nice shower although had only one small shower gel included. Breakfast line was a like in a horror movie. Cheap items too. We skipped the line as we didn’t think it was worth it. Noisy corridors early in morning. Can’t say we are impressed.

Family friendly hotel. Over all its a good Hotel. The location is great. Loblaw, pharmacies and some restaurants are on walking including McDonald . Room was spacious and cozy. Well cleaned and maintained. Gym and pool are functional. Good breakfast with decent variety of items to select.

Well put together hotel. Enjoyed the amenities and breakfast. Wonderful location which is nice and quiet. I will say that the rush in the morning for food can plug up the elevators pretty quickly. I suggest knowing where the stairs are located in the morning to skip the elevator lines.

This is a new hotel. We stayed here on day 2 and 3 of our annual mother daughter trip. The rooms were spacious, clean and well appointed. I loved the walk-in shower and it was really good for my mom as well. There were plenty of outlets for charging multiple devices. The bar, breakfast and service was absolutely amazing. There is a restaurant a few steps from the hotel. If we ever visit Ottawa again I'd be happy to stay here again.

I have been in this new hotel at least three times and so far I don’t have any complains. The front desk people is very nice and polite. The bedrooms and in-suite washrooms are very clean with a modern look and nice finishes. The bedroom has nice furniture and appliances, a big TV and of course WiFi is included. Breakfast bar is quite good with a lot of variety in the menu. A+

This hotel takes prides on keeping their guest safe. I stayed here for a few days on a business trip, and my experience was rather positive. The staff were extremely friendly, greeted you, provided a hot, delicious breakfast with healthy alternatives. The room was super clean with modern touches. I would stay at this location in the future.

Since I had a job interview the following day, I asked the front desk when checking in to ensure I have a very quiet room. She said of course and reassured me my room was very, very quiet. To my surprise, when I went up to my room I discovered that it the second floor room facing the highway! I could hear every truck, motorcycle, and car go by. My worst nightmare. Absolutely no consideration for the guest. When I came out of my room to check out the following morning at 10:30am, the cleaning staff very rudely walked right towards me, confronted me, and barked "You done now? You done, right?". It appears she was waiting for me right outside my door to finish with my room, and she acted as though I was inconveniencing her. I have until 12pm to check out! Horrible experience. Edit: The hotel's response to my review is a denial of any of the issues I pointed out. Instead of denial, they would do well to implement simple steps to address these problems. Usually, hotels are very good at accommodating their guest's reasonable wish for a peaceful and quiet stay, but it is evident that is not the case here.

The male receptionist was polite and helpful. The room was clean and breakfast was nice. Although the server at the breakfast place gave us a filthy tray and the ketchup containers were all empty. I think they may need more than one person to help with this. Overall, our stay was nice and we would recommend this hotel.

Clean, friendly staff, great breakfast selection. Very comfortable bed. Fabulous shower. Spacious well lit room. Pen and notebook would be nice to have in suite. Chairs in conference room are horrible. So uncomfortable it was difficult to concentrate

  • 4/5 Margaret R. 1 year ago on Google
Lovely new hotel. Very comfortable rooms. Nice beds and sheets. What let it down was breakfast. At 8.15am no glasses to get juice. Most things run out. Long line and difficult to find a table. It was pick as it's summer holidays but not having enough glasses or cutlery it's a big let down. Not very environmentally friendly breakfast too as many cereals were in single, plastic containers and coffee served in single use cups.

We really enjoyed staying at Hyatt. The hotel was new, well maintained. Check-in process was very quick, staff was friendly. Rooms were clean and modern. For the money - it was the best value we got during our multi-city trip.

Very well kept clean appointed rooms. 24 hr gym and pool. Really good breakfast buffet with a host of options. Staff is amazing at accommodating almost any need. 100+ inch 4k display in the conference room is a bonus and great for parties.
