I had a great night with my dad at this place. I’m so happy that they have vegan options! Sadly, they don’t have vegan dessert anymore 😢. I took the steak with fries which is a brasserie classic with a Piperade on the side. The food tasted great, the fries were crisp and the Piperade fresh. We will definitely come back! The restaurant on the first floor has a beautiful interior and a great view. I really enjoyed sitting by the window watching the metro and cars outside.

Great vibe! Lots of seating. They happily accommodated our group of 14 without any difficulty when we called a couple hours in advance for a lunch reservation. The burgers are listed as "Snacks," but they are full size burgers with a side of fries. Directly across the street from a metro station, so easy to access.

A big airy cafe (go to the first floor) at a busy intersection near Montmartre. The service is authentically friendly, not pushy and the food was good and not too pricey. A brilliant place to hang out and watch the world go by.

They sat us next to the fire, every little bit when it was going out they would come by and blow on it to light it up and ash would fly everywhere including all over me and my food. The food was subpar waiter would not explain the ingredients in the dishes that were not stated on the menu. Food was cold. Could not finish the food for many reasons. Would not recommend or ever come back

great spot close to sacre couer, they have a few vegan options that are listed separately (yay!), options for everyone to enjoy! the separate non-smoking area was where we sat, kind of wished the outdoor-ish smoking area was also non smoking cause the light pouring in was so nice. our windows looked directly onto the metro entrance where there were a lot of folks selling drugs, felt a bit shady when our interior surroundings were so nice…cops stood outside the restaurant to deter them, didn’t work for long. my vegan steak was a bit dry, could have used way more sauce or something, but i was so happy to find a substantial vegan option that i didn’t mind as much. appreciated the hot sauces on the table too! dad got the poached fish, mom got the steak filet w fries. everyone was happy!

EDIT: This is a prime example of how a bad experience with an employee can ruin one’s opinion of an establishment. As you can see below, my first review of this place was glowing. I went back to take more pictures and have more food because I enjoyed it so much the first time. They were busier, which was to be expected, it was a Friday early evening. I sat at the bar. The brother behind the bar is always cool. ☺️ I had a waiter with a blonde ponytail, he wasn’t so attentive, so I was also ordering from the bartender. He was nice. A third guy behind the bar was a little bit snarky, I didn’t interact with him much, but ironically, HE was the one who asked me to write a review. I was thinking “based on what? “🤔 I waited a while for my bill, and finally I paid and tipped the young guy behind the bar. I began to leave. The blonde waiter rushed after me at the stairs, and very abruptly said “you need to pay.“ I turned. He modified to “who did you pay?” Gesturing to the bar, I said “yes, I paid him.” Blondie asked his colleague, who confirmed, then he turned away to the computer and just left me standing there. Finally, I said “so is everything OK?” Without even really looking back at me, he said “yes.“ That was so OBNOXIOUS. It’s not my fault that he wasn’t keeping track of what I was doing. Was I supposed to sit there waiting all night for him to come back with a bill? You don’t accost customers like that. The implication he made is that I left without paying. It’s rude. The waiter should’ve come up and said “I’m so sorry, can you let me know who you closed your bill with?” Oh, and the oysters were still yummy, but the shrimp wasn’t so good the second time around. I doubt I’ll be back soon. —— Decent prices for food and drinks, really nice wait staff, and it’s a lovely setup. Feels cozy and cool. My oysters were lovely. I also got the crevettes and mayo, that was so tasty, I got a second order!

The truffle mash with a truffle hotdog was amazing. Actually, everything was great. The sliced beef with fries was a good sharing portion for 3. I'm glad we stopped here for a meal.

Best fries I've ever had. Very crunchy and tasty. I ordered the vegan burger and it was very good. I liked the service because you can pay your bill using a qr code and it is faster. The food came pretty quick also even if it was a little bit crowded. The portions are also satifying.

Great service, great food, and even better ambiance. I brought my whole family here for a birthday dinner and we had a great time. The menu has great options from starters, main plates, to drinks! The bartender was amazing and if he thought we didn’t like a drink, he brought us a new one made even better. The restaurant itself is very lovely.

Such a great place! I was nervous to practice my French because I have an Anglophone Canadian accent, and they were so lovely and kind. The smash burger is one of the best burgers I’ve ever tried. They have multiple levels, so you can have a table with a view. Go here!!

Good spot for afternoon food and wine. Crispy egg dish and the Chicken with mushrooms were great! They even gave us an extra glass of wine during the wait.

Servers were very nice, vibe was nice and bright sitting outside in the patio space. The haddock was amazing 🥰 it’s a whole vibe to sit down and enjoy a decent brunch

Very cool place , I liked the ambiance. It plays nice music and is filled with trees so it gives a good vibe. The hot chocolate was very delicious.

An American in Paris: We visited while on a trip to Paris and couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised! The rooftop restaurant has a retractable roof, the food was tasty and at a great price point, and the server was very friendly and helpful...and patient with our "Duolingo-in-a-day" French. I could imagine giving dinner five stars; but we were there for lunch, which was very good -- 4.5 stars -- but not exceptional.

They didn't have the first 2 things I ordered. I ended up ordering the chicken. It was so dry I couldn't eat it. I sent it back and they "remade it" by covering it in oil. It was disgusting. I ended up having the side of mashed potatoes as my meal and they still tried to make me pay for it!! Not worth stopping here.

Incredible staff, amazing place and great food. Great hospitality and welcoming, let us sit down stairs while it wasn’t open to watch the World Cup. Would 100/10 recommend!

Lovely atmosphere! The restaurant has lovely interior with an outdoor and indoor area. Amazing food as well at a very good price!

Tasty food for a fair price, could have been a little bit more. The cocktails were good. The open fireplace created a nice athmosphere, but the lack of a smoke vent led to a big amount of smoke inside. We do recommend this place, yet we suggest you ask to not be seated in the vicinity of the open fire place.

I cannot say enough GOOD things about the patrons and the service here. Everyone was kind, delightful, and went above/beyond service-wise. The food is OK. I really appreciate well-made food. The steak frites missed the mark - it was tough, hard to cut - even after being cooked to medium. Our waiter was kind, apologetic, and willing to make a whole new plate. I didn’t want to waste any food, so I insisted that it was OK, and I’d be willing to finish what I had already eaten. We then ordered dessert - the ice cream was wonderful. Lemon shortbread was OK. My Singapore sling cocktail was grand. Would I return? Yes - for drinks/cocktails, and small bites. Thank you to all the wonderful patrons at this bar/restaurant.

Went there with a group of 6 and they were able to accommodate on the second floor without reservation as we got there early. The menu seemed short and funny but they had options for everyone. The food arrived quickly and surprised us as it was really savory. The location is not great but right at the exit of the subway Barbès Rochechouart which makes it convenient. The first floor is dedicated to drinks (bar type), the second is a restaurant and there is also another room for music and such. The view was nice and even though it was a street view, noise from the street couldn't be heard much. As it got busier inside, people were louder, covering any street noise. Service was good and all the staff was helpful. A very good surprise and recommended place to go if you are in the neighborhood.

I stayed at the Maison Barbes during my week here in Paris and stopped by Brasserie Barbes everyday for an espresso, croissant, and juice to start my day. The service is great and the atmosphere is amazing. The food is delicious and the roof top deck is amazing with the right weather! 10/10 recommend you stop by!

Went to Le Barbès yesterday. We had a good meal. My companion and me came in a bit early to eat. Food was delicious. Cocktails were exquisite. Staff was friendly. Good atmosphere!

Good place if you are hungry. The food was delicious and the staff very friendly and accommodating. The smashed burger was tasty and came with an extremely generous serving of fries. My partner had the spicy sausage sandwich which also was a generous serving and yummy.

Smash burger is a huge win, Caesar salad is also a win. Amazing fast service and friendly staff. Rooftop lounge is the place to be!! Drinks flowing all night 👍🙏

The restaurant setting was beautiful, reserved online before and the table was ready when we arrived. The food and dessert was really good even though we had something small. Would go back any time :)

Nice, beautiful place to eat, very well decorated. We were recommended the Parisian breakfast by the waitress, even though we couldn’t find it anywhere in the menu - and ordered that. The breakfast came out to be just a croissant, coffee and a juice and was billed at €9,50 which I thought was a way too much for it (and considering the neighbourhood we were in). Not to mention the viennois we were served was cold & hard, and there were no plates served to eat in. Also, we had asked to be relocated to the rooftop when it opened in an hour, and the person at the desk told us he will let us know - but nobody came to pick us up or warn us that it had opened up. All in all, a very nice place - but kind of disappointed with the menu & the service.
