😠 I don't mind walking past it on my way to smoke a joint, everyone seems to enjoy it. I myself hate the water and would rather end up bloated, floating upside down in a life jacket than be around that many people. People often mention beach, park, time,

We came the week before July 2018 long weekend. This is the week before official Summer / High season here, and we had the beach nearly to ourselves. The water is still a bit chilly this time of year, but it's usually sunny and warm, and if you can handle a cold dip, and the sun's out, you can get toasty and dry in no time. Lots of great eateries, cafes, and ice cream stands nearby. There is a floating waterpark / slides type structure for the kids moored just off shore. Also nearby are public washrooms, and the Pentiction Japanese Gardens is just a short walk up the promenade. Great amenities and all around great fun for all ages.

Penticton is surrounded by both Okanagan Lake and Skaha Lake. Amazing Vista's in All directions. Restaurants and Accommodations are plentiful. Last statistic I saw was that there are 214 Restaurants. Not Counting the Incredible Wineries, replete with the best Foods and Wines in the Region, Canada and the World.

Fantastic summertime fun for the family. The spray park cools you down and the kids love the playground. The dancing and gated access gives some extra peace of mind.

We found that this park could use an upgrade, our toddler was nervous about the slides. I think the playpark at skaha is a better set up. The swings were a hit.

Love taking my kids here when we visit the beach. The splash pad is a great addition to a quick summer's day stop

Great small little spray park with a nice older but well designed playground near the beach.

A fun place for children and Adults in the summer. In the winter you may ice skate on the outdoor rink on the Lake by the Lakeside Hotel. Fun for all!

The park and the beach are amazing. We were in Penticton twice this summer. The first time it was nice and sunny with clear skies as far as the eye can see. We enjoyed walking around and eating at the restaurants along the beach. The second time it was a little bit different because of the fires. There was not much visibility at the lake and it was smoky all over. It made it difficult to breath and move around. I wore my mask most of the time while my wife decided to go without. We still had fun and people who had booked their vacations were trying to make the best of it hoping for a clearing during their stay. We headed back to Vancouver where the visibility was better. We could not believe that we had a vacation on a smoky town rather than staying at home. But since we love Penticton it was worth the trip. And the park and the beach are always fun.

Great place to bring the kids on Okanogan Lake. Lots of parking.. In the summertime. They set up a big inflatable floating water park. Many places to eat along the sidewalk along the beach front. Good restaurants. Plenty to do on a sunny summer day.

The playground is great and has a lot of variety. However the state of the washroom is always horrendous and extremely smelly. Use with caution.

😐 To many dogs on the people beach. Bi-law just rolled on by didn't do a thing. Not sure why we have specific bi-law officers for animals if they don't do anything. Waste of tax payers money. On a high note the public washrooms were better than normal. Less drug addicts in the area as well.

👍👍 The garden is named after Penticton's sister city Ikeda, Japan. It is a garden among the beach front parks and beaches along the scenic Okanagan Lake, which is located right downtown. The garden shares the location with the Penticton Art Gallery. A beautiful place for all seasons. There is a lot to...
