My man and I planned to eat in for lunch but it was dark and depressing inside, so we ordered to go. Customer service was poor. No smile, no friendly demeanor. Just a blank stare from the cashier. I got the fried chicken wings w/ cabbage & mac. My partner got turkey wings w/cabbage & mashed potatoes. Oh boy. The chicken wings were rubbery and tasted like pure season salt and grease. The cabbage was sour. And I could not stomach one bite of the Mac. There was macaroni but no cheese. See photo. My man couldn’t even chew through those tough, hard turkey wings. We were disappointed because we wanted to like this place and support local business. This place has a lot of potential with a better chef, lighter atmosphere and friendlier front of house staff.

I ordered wings, candied yams and macaroni and cheese combo. The wings were over cooked and SWEET, the yams was a souffle and had no flavor and the mac an cheese LOOKED good but it was just nasty. I will never, ever eat there food and have told everyone I know.🤮

I had fish, chicken wings, fries, and Cole slaw. I took a while to prepare my food so, I was offered a piece of cake. The fish and chicken was okay, the slow taste sour. The chocolate cake with yellow batter was awful ! I don't think I'll be going back there. This was my first time.

The catfish was pretty good, mac & cheese was okay and greens not so good. It's a great hangout place but be prepared to wait a while for them to take your order and even longer for your food.

Our community has a food truck event and today it happened to be right in front of our house .. Lucky us! We had the BBQ combo and greens. Wow the ribs fell off the bone! Everything was so delicious that we walked back up to get a second meal for later in the week!! Thank you!

They're very expensive, food is ok but not worth the price. My salmon cakes were đry like sand and my side of rice with gravy was super small, very expensive and the cake wasn't good either 😔

When did Traditionz start charging patrons for the Dj. People please look on your recipe under service fee. Look like somebody getting over.

The food was not tasteful this Thursday night (4/6/23). The fried chicken wings were under seasoned (no seasoning) but slightly crispy, Mac and cheese was watery and very, very salty. I never thought Mac and cheese could be watery and not enough cheesiness. The sweet potatoe fries were not cooked throughly. It will be quite a while if or when I go back to Traditionz for a family dinner. The baked beans were good just a little more mushy than usual. I think the cook was very lazy in preparing the food tonight. This was the worst soulfood eaten at this location. I had to go out and get a second meal from another establishment, we had to throw the food away, it was a waste of my money and time.

It was just ite. Greasy, and you can tell the oil isn't the freshest. My coleslaw was hot, the worst I've ever tasted. Just.. Okay

The wings tasted as if boiled and then tossed in sauce. No crispness at all. String beans tasted like sugar was added, and it was overcooked. I was left disappointed.

This place truly makes you real right at home. Food service and relaxed vibe! Dine in or take out!!!

Came all the way from NC first stop no turkey wings no nothing but pulled pork sandwich pig feet and catfish.

I checked them out at a local GospelFest right here in Church Hill. The food was amazing. I split the sweet heat ribs, wings and shrimp with my son. The biggest surprise to me were the ribs. Not only were they fried but they also tasted like they were smoked first 🤤. Great combination. Highly recommend trying their ribs!

They are never even open. They have their hours taped to the door but it’s not like those hours of operation are ever truly reflected. I’ve tried to place an order on multiple occasions during their “open” hours just for them to not answer the phone or have their door locked and lights off. How do you expect to see business if you are always closed…

Wings always so good an crispy, wasn’t a fan of the cabbage but the wings and sauce were great.

Ordered Mac and cheese, and it was sour. I had to drive back to return for a refund. Maanger was nice. However, I will NEVER order go here again.

The business was said to be open at 11 am I called once at 1:30 one of the employees answered and said they were closed and wouldn’t be open until sometime after 2pm very rudely which left me confused and annoyed because there was no specific time given and she hung up on me mid sentence before I could ask her any questions I called back around 2:20 despite that because the prices were good and this time she let it ring through the first then the 2nd time I called I’m guessing she took the phone off the hook because I could only get the busy signal this was literally the worst experience ever the employee had no care in the world and it felt almost as if I were begging them to take my money very very dissatisfied and disheartening…sn I decided I would order with them being that they are a black business and I wanted to support but I’ve never been through this with America Best!

Food taste changed. I ate turkey wings, cabbage, yams. Do not plan to come back. In the past I would have rated a five star. Family ate wings. Disappointed. Salty. Sister ate same as myself. She was Disappointed. Her 1st time going. She said, yams taste like it came out of can. That would have been fine, but no love with it, nothing special. Cabbage.

Disappointed in paying $18 for unseasoned wings, vinegary cabbage, and noodles with cheese .... stood outside for an hour and 30 mins for nothing ... I am hangry ... Customer service needs work ... Mother on truck Stated "she wouldn't argue with a colleague who had a question about pricing"... I don't feel that was fair or ethically correct... They are overcharging and it honoring their advertisements ...wing or whiting Basket that comes with fries advertised as $11 add on dinner for $2 more with two sides ... I should have received wings, fries and 2 sides but I didn't receive fries and wings were not seasoned ...

Best soul food I’ve had since living in VA, i drove almost an hour from Richmond to get this food on a humbug cuz I was craving Mac and I must say it’s better than EVERY soul food spot in Richmond!!! Worth the drive

It is most unfortunate that the food is so good since the service was so horrible. The person taking the orders didn't automatically hand out bags, condiments, and silverware. We had to ask Every. Single. Time. The prices on the right said 11 for a basket. The left said add two dollars to make a basket a combo. When the price got to me it said over 16 dollars. The person at the window said it was 15. I told her what it said and she said it was 15 and asked her mom what it was. I leaned over and asked why. The mom said just give it to her for 13 I'm not going to argue/go back and forth with her. And THEN I didn't get the food I ordered. What horrible communication and false advertisement that borders on theft. I will not patronize them again and be careful if you do.

Bomb. For the price a drink would be nice¡ But food good. Chicken was made to order¡ Yasssss😋
