I have been to this location 3 times in the last year and they are always incredibly slow (not “Urgent”). I always make an appointment and sign in on the MyChart app but it doesn’t make a difference. It has never taken less than 40-60 minutes from my scheduled appointment time before I am brought back to the exam room, and then you’re lucky to wait another 20-30 minutes before you see the provider. If you know of a location that might be further away from your home it would be worth it to make the drive.

Extremely long wait times, reception does not return calls. I had called last week to get a doctor's note for work, when I was told I would be called when it was done. Today I called to ask about this note. I waited on hold for 20 minutes before calling from a different phone which was answered immediately. I was informed that my note was done and apparently had been for some time, but no one bothered to call me. When you book an "appointment" on the website, it is not actually an appointment. I waited for nearly 2 hours after my "appointment" time and was told that this time is essentially meaningless, it is only intended to ensure you will be seen that day. The medical practitioners seem fine, but the management of the clinic in general is exceptionally poor.

It's unfortunate that a place that prides itself in servicing our community is failing in that area considerably! I understand everyone, including businesses, can have a down day. But even being realistic, EVERYTIME we have visited FastMed Happy Valley location, they blow it. I'm finally giving a review to vent all my frustration that they've caused over the intermittent 6+ years we've used them. To summarize our experiences with this joke of a medical establishment, their front desk employees have a toxic attitude that clearly doesn't belong in this environment; not to mention how ditzy and full of excuses they seem to be when not delivering appropriate service that this rigorous industry calls for in servicing the customers. These types of businesses are INTENDED to make medical visits convenient, efficient, and practical. This place obviously doesn't provide these experiences. On our most recent visit, my little sister was having some serious congestion issues and we scheduled an appointment. But guess what everyone! Not only did we arrive 10 min early to respect their "professional" time, in return they decided to make my little sister wait an additional 2 hours PAST the scheduled appointment time. Completely outrageous, unprofessional, and sickening. Shame on all the staff for the ill performance AGAIN! I'm still trying to understand how this business is still running with so many unsatisfied customers. Hopefully, people reading the reviews will understand how genuinely disgusted the community is with this place of business. Edited: After taking a moment to read more reviews after writing one myself, I'm not surprised to find SEVERAL other reviews concerning wait time and employee attitudes... makes me wonder how serious they take customer's concerns and reviews online, especially when they respond to them with automated messages 🤔 Just a thought.

Most of the 1-star comments I saw on here were in regards to the wait time, which for me, personally, was excusable. My issue was in the service itself. The utter lack of professionalism was astonishing. I visited this clinic with some symptoms that eventually turned out to be a severe allergic reaction. The physicians at this clinic tested me for COVID, the flu and one other thing, and that was it, they sent me home with a prescription for ibuprofen. Thankfully I was smart enough to get a second opinion the next day which turned out to be much more insightful. Along with the lack of care I received, a few of the personnel were watching either a show or a movie on a tablet while working on certain paperwork/documentation, all while I was struggling to breathe and sit up straight and other patients were waiting in the lobby to be seen. Please, do not go here. If it is your only option, please be cognizant during your visit. If this is not your only option, please choose to travel further to another clinic and receive the care you deserved. This clinic will not provide you with such care.

Staff was nice and friendly, however, after explaining to the NP my symptoms, she did a few tests, once one test came back negative, she wrote me pain meds and numbing mouth wash and sent me on my way. After the visit I was struck with high fever (due to it being infected) called the office on Monday to get a work note, front desk clerk stated she would see if the NP was in and call me back, never received a call back and I missed out on one work day. They should be more thorough with their patients to avoid things like these, specially when you’re in high amounts of pain and discomfort.

absolutely ridiculous! I set an appointment for 12:15 and left school early just to make sure I at least got there ten minutes before my appointment time. There was only 3 people in front of me. I waited two hours in the waiting room. I had work at 2:15. All I needed was a doctor’s note to say I was cleared for my game the next day. So disappointed. Horrible.

Made reservation on-line, showed up 15 minutes early and sat there for two hours waiting to be seen. I saw several people get called back who arrived after me. When I finally did get called back I asked the nurse if they were short staffed and she said no, we have two doctors here today. I expressed my frustration with the wait and she showed me the back of one of the forms where the receptionist noted that I was a walk-in. Very frustrating. The nurse and the PA were very nice and apologized for the wait. I will never go back.

Don’t bother making an appointment here. They completely ignore you and actually wait until all others have been seen before acknowledging the people that made appointments. They are rude, disorganized and the waiting room is filthy. If you weren’t sick when you went in, you can bet that you will be by the time you leave. I have an infection in my vein from donating blood a week ago so I now have to go to the emergency room so that it doesn’t turn into sepsis. If anyone reading this happens to be an attorney I would love to know if I have a basis for a lawsuit.

As most people say, the wait time can definitely exceed an hour at their busiest - however, the quality of care is worth it alone! The front desk ladies were incredibly nice and got me checked in fast. When I got to meet with the PA, she was incredibly kind and got me checked out fast! Will definitely return next time I'm sick!

I was the second person to arrive at this Honor Health Urgent Care at 7:50 this morning. I understand that they are implementing a new software, however that does not make it acceptable to wait over an hour and a half before being brought back to see a doctor. So much for URGENT care. The staff behind the counter were kind and the doctor ended up being very sweet and kind as well.

Been here multiple times. Should’ve learned my lesson. They never swab good enough and it always turns out negative. Went to a different clinic next day and tested positive. Everyone is kind but this is not the first time we’ve gone elsewhere and gotten positives next day. Also, this time around there was literally no one else in the office, we made an online appointment and we Still had to wait 45 min to be seen.

PA who cared for me was great. Even with appointment made prior, waited 30+ minutes beyond appointment time to be taken back to a room. Check-in process is okay, but needed to fill out a bit of additional paperwork that was identical to what I filled out electronically prior to arriving. Not the fault of the person who checked me in. Decent experience overall. Bottom line - I received good care once I was seen.

Went to Fastmed Urgent Care on a Sunday. Did not have an appt. The lady at the front desk was so sweet and understanding. She got me squeezed in to see the doctor within 25 minutes! Doctor was very nice and quick. I was in and out of the facility within 40 minutes.

FastMEd Urgent Cares are a life saver and they even accept AZ state insurance AHCCCS and didn't charge me a dollar in co-pays for my visit. (I have Molina Care). The Happy Valley location in particular is my favorite location, I haven't decided on a primary care physician anywhere yet so I use this FastMed whenever I need to see a doctor or have any medical related questions. They let you walk in as needed or call in advance or set your appointment date/time online. I'm so pleased with the service from the entire staff from the moment I first call them until I leave and even arranging my prescription pickups with the pharmacy. They work really well with Walgreens, which was a nice surprise because it seems like a lot of places lately have had one issue after another with setting up prescription pickups. The visit I just had I only called in 30 minutes before to set an appointment, they got me right in, there was hardly any paperwork to sign, staff was super friendly and caring, I only waited in the waiting room for maybe 10 or 15 minutes and there were 3 patients there at the same time as me and the nurse and doctors we in my room almost immediately to assess my situation and provide the exact solution for my being there. I highly recommend FastMed for all your Urgent care needs, especially the Happy Valley (Phoenix), AZ location. The office is nice and new and clean and bright and cheerful too. Thanks FastMed for taking care of me, I appreciate the excellent service!

NP Jennifer deserves a huge round of applause. I was in last week for what seemed like the never ending sickness. She took the time to ask me a lot of questions about how I felt. Her detail and amazing bedside manner is ultimately what made me better. She didn't just brush me off as having a viral cold or allergies. She knew that she needed to be precise with my treatment and I am so very grateful to her to be feeling better!

Made an appointment and pre-registered on-line. Reception at the location was very efficient and pleasant. Only waited about 20 minutes and was seen by a nurse and NP. Both very professional and pleasant. Diagnosed my problem, sent scripts to my pharmacy and I was out the door. Very good experience. Would recommend.

The care is good but this is slowest Urgent Care I have ever been to. I have a 6 and 3 yr old so I have been to a lot. Especially since my daughter is allergic to nuts and has Asthma. I have been here multiple times. Last time waited 2 hrs before I just walked out. It's not like it was packed either. There were only 2 people me when we arrived. I came back again hoping for a better out come. There was only one person when we arrived. It took 2 hrs to get seen and leave. Again the doctors are good. It just takes a long time.

I only go to FastMed if I need immediate treatment. Otherwise I see my Honor Health primary care doctor. The wait, even with an appointment averages over an hour sometimes two. I’ve always received good care. The PAs know what they’re doing. They spend adequate time with me. They clearly explain the condition.

EVERYONE at FastMed could not have been nicer or more professional. From the first person I had contact with until I left I was treated with care and attention. What I really noticed while waiting to be seen is that EVERY person who walked through the door was treated with the same professionalism and care, even the woman who walked in with a nasty attitude was treated with care and kindness. I am not familiar with the area and my insurance sent me to this urgent care. I now realize it is not the closest urgent care to my house but if in the future I need care I absolutely will drive the distance to go here. The staff I observed with other patients and the staff who helped me were: Cecilia, the receptionist and first contact. Ashley, medical assistant, Kerry knight, physician assistant and Makayla, medical assistant. Thank you all for the great medical care but especially for all of your kindness.

I want to make sure that Tasha in the back office is recognized for her amazing care for patients. It was a pleasure working with her. Doctor Shera was great as well. She took great care in her evaluation and explanation. The 5 stars are all theirs. As for the two in the front office they need some serious customer service training. Super uncomfortable how they interact with each other and with patients. They did not even try to be helpful. As well as not very good listeners.

Needed to visit Fast Med due to swelling and pain. They were very helpful and concerned for my well being. The prescription helped and referral made the difference to get me on the right track to recovery. I appreciate the care, professionalism and support I received at the Fast Med on Happy Valley.

I am a snowbird, here in Phoenix.I had to make a quick trip to my home state, and was not feeling well, plus did not want to get anyone else sick in my travels. I went to this Urgent Care and was treated very well. I found the staff to be very helpful, thorough, caring and professional!

We came in for a sports physical for my son. There were only 2 people waiting ahead of us but it took 2 hours to get a physical. We don’t come often but every time we come to this location the wait is so long. The provider was great but this location needs to work on wait times. Especially when they’re not that busy.

  • 1/5 Brea L. 7 months ago on Google
My family has used this Urgent care many times. The only reason we continue to return is because the providers are very good. The wait times tend to be hours upon hours even if you make an “appointment.” Beware that the billing department is a complete joke. They sent me to collections for a bill. they never sent and have billed me when I’ve already paid attempting to get double payment.

  • 1/5 K N. 4 months ago on Google
Ridiculous wait time. Heard the male nurse who was speaking with me proceed to leave the room and gossip to a coworker about what he and I had discussed privately. Took all my willpower not to whip the door open and call your employee out on it. Real professional.

We had a walk in appointment to get a cut on my finger checked and waited 3 hrs after we checked in with no eta. People who walked in after me were called inside but the reception lady couldn’t give me an eta on when my turn would come in. The waiting room was empty and still no response. As there was a COVID patient inside, I told the receptionist, that I’ll wait outside and she said when my turn comes up, she’s call me in. I finally took a refund of the money I paid and walked out and there was no remorse or an apology. I will not recommend this place to anyone. It’s not a fast med, it’s frustrating place when you expect empathy and compassion:.

About a 30-minute wait, past our appointment, but the staff were all amazing. My 96 year old mom had fallen and hurt her arm. They took great care of her cut and really made her feel special. Exuded humanity and empathy.

I went to this urgent care recently for an infection and I was grateful to be seen. The nurse practitioner I saw was great and helpful but that is the only positive feedback I have. I did have to wait 45 minutes in the lobby before being seen which is not fun when you have a UTI. The medical assistant that helped me did not wear her mask correctly and actually pulled mine down with her hands instead of asking me to pull it down to get my oral temperature checked. I have never had an experience like that before. She was extremely unprofessional and it makes you question how well these medical assistants are trained at this facility.

I've had the best experience with this Urgent Care location. Recently, they were able to finish off aftercare of a procedure I had at the ER days earlier and the doctor here told me information about my condition that no doctor ever has and it was extremely helpful. The waiting room could definitely use more chairs but the staff was great and wait times were fair for the amount of people that were there. I would recommend this facility over any others in the area.

  • 4/5 Rose W. 1 year ago on Google
Easy place to get an appointment which is way better than other places where you have to wait in line. Wait time was reasonable considering the time of year and everyone getting sick. I saw a NP and while she confirmed my concerns that I had a flare up of asthma she did not give me anything to help (I already have inhalers). Unfortunately within a few days the asthma got worse so ended up having to go to my doctor for some additional treatment. It would have been nice to avoid this in the first place.

  • 5/5 Stephanie 2 years ago on Google
They were very busy and the wait time was significant; however, the service was worth it. The front receptionist was very calming and busy at work. The back staff from the nurse to the nurse practitioner who saw me... They were superb. I will definitely be going back if I have a need again.

I took several of my children on different occasions for a sports physical and by making an appointment. Check-in was smooth. Front desk staff were polite and helpful. Providers and assistants were nice and knowledgeable. Wait time was appropriate given it is an urgent care. Overall very satisfied.

  • 1/5 Lon 1 year ago on Google
Horrible experience. Got there at 11am and sat in hard chairs with a fractured hip for over an hour past my appointment time! Asked receptionist as well as checkin "nurse" why I wasn't seen at my appointment time. Both said making an appointment online ahead of time does nothing for getting in at a certain time. Lobby emptied out before I was called over an hour later. One receptionist said she would take me back but instead left and picked up soda and snacks for both receptionists. No benefits going to FastMed and will not recommend to anyone! Suggest changing name to "SlowMed."

They were so busy the morning I came in. The woman at the front desk was pleasant and efficient even though she could have been overwhelmed. She was so calm and welcoming. Once I was called back the staff I encountered were so nice and helpful. I'm was so stressed out but they really calmed my nerves. I'm can't tell you how grateful I am for this urgent care center. It's close to my house and the care is always exceptional.

Staff was amazing. The place was busy the entire day and Cecilia handled the pressure extremely well. She kept a smile and answered everyone's questions with a positive attitude. My only complaint would be to get her some help she went none stop.

No one answers the phone if you call it and so far I've waited for an hour and thirty minutes for a covid test. The receptionist was rude and you have to check yourself in on an iPad that probably 1000 people have touched. Won't be coming back.

Very caring folks, even with a two hour wait for treatment. I always find the medical staff top notch.

  • 5/5 Hilary Y. 2 years ago on Google
I expect to wait 20 minutes or so even after our appointment time which would probably have earned a 4 star, and on this particular visit it was a full hour after our appointment time to see the doctor (lowering the review to a 3 star) but then when we saw the doctor she went above and beyond on my daughter's sports physical. I was so impressed by the service, I wanted to write this review. The availability to schedule an appointment same day or next day is great. The walk in wait time is usually quite long. They should probably increase the appointment times and not schedule a new patient every 15 minutes. Overall, this fits our need and I will come back.

  • 5/5 t b. 2 years ago on Google
They are well organized and very friendly staff / doctors. We had an appointment and still had to wait a 1/2 hour or so which is not bad IMO

  • 1/5 Ae 1. 2 years ago on Google
This place should be ashamed and it is dangerous to be seen here. When I was there waiting for hours to be seen the only time the receptionist was talking on the phone was about their copy machine. They literally did not take any phone calls. I have called 7 times for important lab results and am still on hold after 9 minutes. When I was there 2 patients who had been seen previously had to drive there and walk in to get lab results because they could not get through on the phone. Also, people were sitting on the floor and standing because there were not enough chairs- there would be room for many more chairs even with COVID protocols in place. Please find another urgent care. I worry about the well being of anyone who chooses to be seen here. I understand things are hectic with COVID but I've had much better experiences recently at other places that actually care if people get better.
