The hospital was formerly known as Pangu Hospital and most of the people still know it as Pangu hospital. This hospital is one of the most famous hospitals in the country, because every family in our society is involved in different kinds of small and big accidents. The hospital's service is the highest for all types of major or minor accidents, any kinds of fractures. The quality of their service is very good, it only takes times. A separate vaccination center has been set up here to administer covid-19 vaccine.

National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (NITOR) is well known to every person in this county is "PONGU Hospital (পঙ্গু হসপিটাল)" You will get all kind of orthopaedic and fracture related medical service available here. It's only one Orthopaedic hospital by Bangladesh government. Only 10 tk ticket will take for OPD doctor visit. Other pathological test is available here with low cost. We know it's very difficult to take service easily here due to government employee. But every depertment is available here. Experience doctor is also here to give proper service. If you want to take proper service from here then technically you need to manage everything.

It is hard to get the best treatment unless you have great references. Dalal is everywhere, the management and doctors are with them to make business by using public property. :( Few doctors are very good and we are always thankful to them as this happened rarely :)

NITOR which denotes the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedic Rehabilitation, is a government Orthopedic medical College and Hospital. It serves cost effective orthopedic services. But it is a congested and patient full hospital most of the time. Lower income people mainly come for treatment at a lower cost. Doctors and the hospital authorities are sometimes unable to give quality treatment. Critical surgery is available here but most of the people Don't get these facilities. Emergency services are not quality full. The behaviour of the staff of this Department is so rude. The medical College part is so neat neat and clean and well decorated.

National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation is one the most popular public hospitals in Bangladesh. This is the first and the pioneer of its kind. Patients who have problems related to orthopaedic come to this hospital access the country. So most of the time the hospital remains over crowded.

Staffs' behaviors are worst than a mad barking dog. Many rich and poor people used to go there because the doctors provide good service. If you are well dressed and rich or middle class patient you will expect some respect. But if you are not well dressed or poor patient you will be treated as an insect by the staffs. And hospital staffs are always taking extra money as bribe or money for cha pani.

In order to provide medical care and rehabilitation for these patients, the National Orthopedic Hospital and Rehabilitation Center was established in the state. Poor patients are treated free of cost. Blood tests are provided with special facilities for blood transfusions if needed, to eat, to pay for medicines, and when needed. Normally this is known as the Pongu Hospital to the common people of the county. It is most important hospital providing orthopaedic treatment in the country. Most of victims of road accidents and other accidents are brought and treated here for their broken bone. Doctors work here are most experienced. But it always gets busy with normal and serious patients. For this reason government has taken steps for expansion of infrastructure of this important hospital. Now it is bigger than previous and can accommodate more patients.

One of the palliative care centers in Bangladesh. Although it is a government hospital of the highest quality in Bangladesh, the common people here never receive medical care. Because in order to get medical treatment here, you must hire a broker and pay them a lot of money. Moreover, you will not be able to get admission here. You can't believe how they have transformed a public property into a business. But hopefully some doctors here are very good and will be forever grateful to them. Wheelchair access. Health care is not available properly.

It is the most important hospital providing orthopedic treatment in the country. Most of the victims of road accidents and other mishaps are brought here and treated for their broken bones. Physicians working here are the most experienced but it is always busy with normal and serious patients. Therefore, the government has taken steps to expand the infrastructure of this important hospital. Now it may have bigger and more patients than before. Important place for traumatic patients. However, people have the negative feeling or experience from them, because of their services and environment which are not up to the standard marks of services. People have the fear to get bad services and lose this parts. This also create black market of the services.

You have to more concious about the treatment of this hospital. Because a lot of barkers are here outside the hospital area even the inside of the hospital. They try to convince the victim and referred the patients to their contracted clinic. So be careful.
