    Bright, clean and organized Sporting Light at Hillcrest Mall. Great customer service in shoes department. The young Asian male staff was very friendly and helpful. They didn’t have the size I was looking for and I did receive a very nice service. Some items were doing 50%, 40% discount, will visit again soon.

    Thank you very much Jordan for your help and patience. This is my first time buying a bicycle at sporting life. Jordan gave us professional advise to choose the bike for my Son and very good service throughout the buying process. I went back the second time after the purchase for some technical questions regarding about the new bike and he came out again to address all my questions and concerns. Thank you Jordan and definitely I will come back again if I need a second bicycle!

    I want to give 5 stars service for Richmond hill location. I am beginner of snowboarding, they help me fixed my board and give me lots of advice. Unbelievable service for ski and snowboard departments. Cashier are amazing too . Incredible customer service better than other locations. Definitely come back

    Recently purchased a ski jacket and pants for my daughter. Sheneike helped us with fitting, advice and selection of a good pants that was on sale. She was ready and willing to help, and her mannerisms were courteous and friendly. So glad to have her help and wanted to give her this shout out!

    I've been here twice, once for snowboarding jacket and goggles and the most recent time to purchase my very first pair of snowboarding boots and Jason provided great customer service in helping find my boot size and explaining how I'd want snug boots and to go slightly smaller than my everyday shoe size. Very detail oriented and top-notch service and store!

    Leslie in the coat department helped me find a winter jacket for my mother in law. Sébastien in the shoe department helped me find a winter boot. They were both great. Sébastien explained the difference between the Merrell and Vans brand and advised I get the Merrell for what I needed the boots for. Excellent service from them both. My mother in law said " God bless you" so I got blessings for taking to the mall to get the winter jacket. She is really happy with it. On top of all that, the manager price matched a coat I bought on December 27th. A great day out at Sporting Life.

    I bought a pair of mid hiking shoes a few days ago and decided to return and get a low cut instead. Staff was helpful, return and refund process was smooth. Kudos to the staff at this location. Store is tidy and easy to shop with lots of selection as well and items are often on discounts.

    Came in to get the star plus tune up on my snowboard. It was $20 more than SportChek but I knew I needed some p-tex fill done and thought I'd pay a little more for a better job. The guy at the service counter immediately wanted to charge me more than $60 despite the tuner at the back saying $60 would be fine. It took 3 days to turn around and I still had to wait 20 minutes to pick it up because nobody wanted to acknowledge me. There's still a bunch of rust on the edges. They didn't fill all the chips either and it was generally a poor experience. I called to follow up too but the manager was dismissive and didn't try to make the situation right. Not worth my time to go back, won't be doing it again.

    I feel so bad that I don't remember the manager's name because he gave us so much help and I want to thank him again. My boyfriend was a first time skates buyer so he had no idea what size he should wear, and the manager brought so many sizes from the back to find the best fit for my bf's feet. Thanks to him, we could skate together with so much fun yesterday ;D

    Every time I walk in here I get the feeling employees are watching me more from a theft protection stand point instead of actually being there to assist me with something! You get greeted in very section you walk thru and god forbid you touch an item on the way there. I was using the fitting room today.. a nice men helped with my items. I decided to purchase one of them. When I was leaving the fitting room I saw he was using his Bluetooth head set with a manager of some sort to see what I was doing in the fitting room. I was watched all the way to the cash register’s. I feel like behaviour shouldn’t be happening in todays day and age. I will not be returning to this store.

    We had the most amazing customer service experience today with your employee David K. from the Winter Sports Equipment department. He was so knowledgeable, professional, and helpful in assisting us with a Ski Helmet and Ski Goggle purchase. He did not rush us and explained the differences in products thoroughly as well as doing a proper fitting. We greatly appreciated this outstanding customer care and mentioned it to Jesse who was supervising at the time and observed the interaction. It is employees like David that give Sporting Life a great word of mouth reputation and make your store stand out above the rest!! We would like to commend him and hope that you recognize and praise him as well!! Thank you David!!

    It was great experience. We never been to Hillcrest mall and it was our first time and we were shopping for tennis balls and sales associate, Jeff came to share his thoughts on the different types of tennis balls and discussed the pros and cons. He helped us make a decision on which ones to go with. Without his advice, we would not have picked the right ones.

    Was completely ignored as I stood in the shoe dept,; two sales people, one finishing up with a customer, the other cleaning up. Was looking, picking up, comparing shoes for a while ... the 1st person finished up. Both still continued to ignore me. Yup, I def could have initiated contact however these two people clearly did everything they could to look ANYWHERE but at the one standing potential customer in their dept. LOL, yes I showered, I'm clean & presentable. Canadian customer service at its' best!

    Had a very good experience with the staff at this location. Particularly Ryan and hoping his manager will see this review! Without realizing it, I bought a pair of ski boots that was obviously too big (1 size up). It gave me blisters. Ryan was so experienced and helpful, went to the back and took out a new pair (see picture) and as soon as i put them on, they fit perfectly. Mind you before my original pair, i had tried many brands but nothing fit as well as the ones Ryan selected for me and that on the first trial. Having an experienced and knowledgable person guiding the new purchase made such a difference. Thank you Ryan for being so patient, helpful with the return, and really demonstrating world class customer service!!! I would recommend families and relatives to your location with this type of excellent service!!!

    Returned an item at Hillcrest Mall location. Was told to return, I HAVE to give them my phone number. Now I am receiving all these promotional texts. In order to stop receiving them, I have to pay additional fee on my phone bill to send "stop" to the texts! Will never go back to this store.

    5 stars are not enough! I would like to thank ALEX (sorry I don't know his last name!), the Richmond Hill / Hillcrest Mall store manager who went above and beyond the call of duty to resolve a problem to my absolute satisfaction even though the customer (i.e. me) was completely wrong. It's a long story, but I have to recount it. I received a gift card when I returned a purchase made online. Then I used the gift card to buy something else (online again) and returned part of my new purchase. For my second return, I received a credit via an email from the store. I ignored the email and completely forgot about my second purchase. In my mind, my original gift card had the original credit so it was a complete surprise to me when I decided to use it and I was told by the cashier that it has zero balance. I insisted that the card should have about a $100 balance. The cashier called Alex for help. Alex tried to trace my purchase and return but he had no information that he could use. I could not recall the approximate date of my purchase. After exhausting all software tools in the store he phoned the store's head office. It took some time but the person on the other side of the line (thank you!) was able to trace the gift card transactions, my other purchase, and my other credit. Alex patiently explained to me what had happened, wrote down the amount of my second credit, took me to the cashier, and stood by until the credit was successfully applied to my latest purchase (which I will not return!!). During this pretty long ordeal, Alex never lost his composure nor his positive and pleasant attitude, even though I'm sure he suspected that I was wrong. Many thanks, Alex, for your professionalism, for not giving up (even though you absolutely could've), and for your help. You won a loyal customer!

    Their curbside pick up is a joke. If you aren’t going to have staff answer the phones at any time of day why still offer this service and have designated curbside pick up spots. I have come to the Hillcrest location 3 times this past week to do curbside pickup and each time I’ve waiting 20 minutes trying to get someone to answer the phone each time without any luck. Today I tried calling 9 times and then now conveniently the ring tone is as if the phone is off the hook. Either hire more people or take away curbside pick up.curbside pick up is supposed to be convenient but me taking over an hour out of my week for this is ridiculous. The whole reason why I ordered from here specifically is because they offered this service but turns out they really don’t. I placed by first call at 4:07 pm it’s currently 4:34 and I’m still waiting outside. No one has answered the phones

    We order online frequently from Sporting Life. Recently, we had a terrible experience. We never received two items (under $200 ) and Sporting Life refuses to refund or replace the items. It's an awful experience dealing with customer service. I ordered the items in May. They are using a non reliable courier company. Better to shop in store versus using their online shopping website. As well, I now have multiple charges on the visa card I had used to online shop on their website. These are items I never even bought. The security of their website is questionable when using your credit card. This is a company who has a high pricing point however does not provide good customer service. Very disappointing and an awful experience.

    To say that the employees here are helpful is an understatement. I purchased ski boots awhile back that did not fit my foot properly causing alot of pain. After my complaint with the ski boots, the cash manager Sherwin ensured me that Jeff and Charlie would be able to assist me with my needs. Jeff and Charlie were wonderful in their assistance ensuring my ski boots would no longer cause pain. Both Jeff and Charlie were very knowledgeable, friendly and supportive! After the issue with my ski boots were addressed, the cash manager Sherwin went out of his way to make sure everything was to my liking. I am impressed by the customer service and will defiantly return to this Sporting Life location.

    This location is extremely understaffed. I spent 45 minutes waiting for the first available associate at skii department and then another half an hour at cash register to check out. The actual associates are a amazing and very knowledgeable, but there are only two of them for the entire department. No COVID excuses. I have been to Corbetts in Oakville. There are at least 7 staff members helping out with skis and boots.

    I rarely give feedback but this time it deserves a thumbs up. My purchasing experience was actually pleasurable with the sales team at this location. I went in to “look” for a pair of ski boots for my wife and left with a purchase. Simply put, Charlie (hope I got his name right) has the experience and knowledge with the product, which they should, but key, he was friendly and patient. Highly recommend this location if looking for a ski product.

    The other day I went to Sporting Life to get some athletic pants. A salesperson by the name of, I think, Orly approached me and asked if I needed assistance. I told her that I jog and row and I was looking for breathable and light pants. She guided me to a pair that I absolutely love. She asked me if there was anything else I needed. I informed her that I needed a few other things for skiing and she found them all. What's great is that I thought it would take a least an hour to get everything I needed but I was ready to leave in 15 minutes flat with her help. Great service!

    Not usually the type to write reviews but I had a truly exceptional customer experience at this location the other day. I was looking for a new coat in anticipation of a trip I’m planning and one of the sales associates named Nancy was a huge help to me! She really knew her stuff and was so accommodating! I actually ended up buying a few other items as well with her assistance. I look forward to shopping here again soon!

    I had a $50 coupon to use at Sporting Life which could only be redeemed in-store and I had a very tough time trying to buy something that would be useful. I was looking around the athletic shoes section and the selections are very limited, unlike the selections that you can find online. I also browsed through other sections like hats, t shirts, gloves...etc and they all seemed overpriced. Where the store could be useful is if you are looking for a winter jacket because it has a lot of selections but other than that, I would most likely stick to shopping online.

    The store itself is easy to navigate and reasonable enough where you can serve yourself. The staff although friendly, I wasn't able to get the help I may have needed in a timely manner. I ended up leaving without purchasing anything until I went back with a friend who was able to provide me with some assistance. Either way though I would still recommend the store, because you will have access to a ton of variety of the things you may be looking for. Maybe just leave some more time for yourself when heading there as it may take a lot of it. The prices are also on the higher end .

    Great customer service and management! I came to Sportinglife to demo and shop for tennis rackets. On my first visit I had a negative experience with how a procedure was executed. Immediately after I sent feedback to the store via an online form. The next day I was contacted by the store manager herself, Ryan. She took my concerns very seriously and reviewed the procedure with her employees to ensure that my experience would not be repeated. She also offered me assistance with my purchase and a discount on my product. I am very happy with how my complaint was handled! I will be shopping at Sportinglife again in the future. Charlie in the service department of the tennis section was friendly and knowledgeable, look out for him if you are shopping for anything tennis!

    Wicked sales, you have to check often for these half-off sales. GReat sales people to help. Can get very crowded in the sales sections but just look at those prices. Sign-up for their mailing list bc they have more specials that aren't advertised in store.

    Came over tonight to shop for ski goggles…unfortunately not that many Asian fit goggles on shelf now. But the salesperson Charlie at this location is extremely professional and patient! I highly recommend him as your go-to person at this location :D will definitely come back!

    Went to sporting life to buy some tennis shoes. Was helped by a gentleman named Nathan. He was super knowledgeable and helpful with shoes offering me many different options. His service was friendly and went into depth to explain the differences in each shoe. Definitely knows what hes talking about.
