It's
great
value
for
money
and
a
clean
and
very
pleasant
vintage
hotel
that
has
had
a
very
good
refurb
,I
stayed
3
nights
in
May
2022
.The
room
I
stayed
in
was
number
105,
it
was
elegant
and
spacious,
and
decorated
in
an
Art
Deco
style
with
a
geometric
pattern
carpet
and
elegant
simple
lean
lines,
the
bathroom
was
also
in
this
style
but
using
brand
new
fittings
to
give
it
a
fresh
clean
feel,
the
room
had
a
small
but
very
functional
coffee
and
tea
maker
which
worked
well,
and
very
good
open
wardrobe
space
,
with
a
good
flatscreen
tv.
The
dining
room
was
elegant
,
well
maintained
nicely
spaced
out,
with
a
very
good
selection
of
breakfast
things
for
the
price,
[perhaps
some
bananas
might
be
good]
,
otherwise
it
was
great,
the
staff
were
exceptionally
helpful
and
friendly
on
the
desk
with
my
requests
and
the
overall
mood
of
the
hotel
was
peaceful
and
relaxing,
having
a
joint
entrance
made
the
hotel
feel
spacious
and
connected
and
modern
The
things
that
weren't
so
great
were
slight,
I
think
the
placement
of
the
shower
fitting
and
tray
over
the
bath
is
in
the
wrong
place
,
it's
really
hard
to
use
once
the
screen
is
unfolded
as
there
is
not
much
of
a
gap
between
it
and
the
bath
edge
and
i'm
fairly
slim,
as
I
almost
grazed
myself
on
the
metal
shower
holder,
I
wasn't
keen
on
the
hard
clear
plastic
chair
in
the
bedroom.
the
entrance
to
the
lift
should
be
sign
posted
on
the
double
doors
so
it
can
clearly
be
seen,as
its
hidden
away
so
was
confusing
,
as
the
doors
were
closed.
The
lighting
in
the
corridors
could
be
brighter
[its
a
bit
like
The
Shining
]
For
me
the
Spanish
Hacienda
decor
in
the
historic
entrance
hall
as
its
a
great
space
with
elegant
proportions
should
be
restored
to
its
original
decor,
it's
quite
gaudy
like
the
set
of
a
bad
play.
Whilst
it
could
look
stunning,
with
some
expert
input
and
be
a
welcoming
space
