The rooms are very old fashioned and the feeling is like the hygiene is not on very high level. I do not recommend for business trips, especially for a long ones, as it seems more of a tourist hotel, for people who stays only for one to two nights. There is no hairdryer in the room and very few on the reception, so considering that I had to stay late at work and then go out early in the mornings I had to go with wet hair, because none was left at the reception. I couldn't get e hairdryer for 3 days. The hotel share the same reception and the same restaurant with Hotel Siru, which I don't think is very convenient. The breakfast is very very basic.

Great location near the Brussel North train station and next to the bus hub. The reception has a great service and are very friendly I've been here a couple of times and especially Andy has been of great help. The rooms are neat and clean with a nice restroom. The only downside is that there are no sockets close by the bed, so be prepared and bring a long charger with you just in case.

Quite possibly the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The walls are so thin you can hear everything in the other rooms, including when someone is using the bathroom. No safe or fridge in the room. Breakfast is mediocre at best. The "shower" has a rod to hold the moveable shower head - except it doesn't actually hold it at all. On our way to check out, we got stuck in the ancient elevator. Avoid at all costs.

Needs renovation, refurbishment - room, bathroom nut really clean. No sound isolation - like living in next room ... No elevator - only hint about future fixing :( Not worth for money!

The rooms were clean and the service was great but the main issue were the bathrooms the other guests could see us since the windows from the rooms are connecting to the skylight and we used a towel to cover the glass.

The hotel does not offer the adequate conditions, especially attending to its high price. There is no fixed hair dryer (we must ask at reception desk), breakfast doesn't vary everyday, the room is only acceptable, and finally the water: no hot water during one week (with various not convincing excuses) and finally no water on thursday!!! Not really recommend this hotel; in fact, hotels are a problem in Brussels!

Very bad hotel management! When arriving to the hotel they noticed that the room wasn’t available so I have never stayed in this hotel and they charged me without canceling the reservation!!!!!!! I was not the only client facing this even thought i made my booking days ago!!!!!! they sent us to another hotel where we had to pay again. They didn’t answer the booking website or my calls or have reimburse me yet.

Very good value for money. Rooms renovated and a nice meeting area. Desk people and manager are very helpful, which is always a plus for me. They accommodated some on spot requests. The surroundings are nice, you can go on foot to Grand Place and to the North Station, and you also have a near metro station. Will come back for sure.

Highly recommend to double check your booking as we were given a room with shower without any view while we paid for a room with bath tub and city view. When we check with the hotel, they mentioned we are currently fully booked and only able to provide a room with bath tub but no view. And the size of the room has huge difference. Not to mention the hotel staff/cleaner has almost break into our room in the morning while we are still inside the room getting ready for breakfast. He/she literally tab the card and ready to come in. Recommendation: double check your booking details and make sure you display ‘Do not disturb’ sign at your door.

The room insulation was bad. You can hear water tap sound and conversation from next room. Otherwise staying experience was pleasant. . The vibes was truly like you're in the past. 😀. Strategic location with 10minutes walking distance to Grand Place and about 15 minutes to Central Station. Simple breakfast but nice.

The hotel is perfectly located (the shopping area with the walk to the canter right across the street, and also 3 minutes walk from the North train station) the building itself is a historical site and has its charm. For the 3 stars hotel it fits most standards, but there are some issues that could be improved. First of all, the overall manner of staff and management is quite unprofessional and lack some social manners. We had some issues during check-in with potential bedbugs in one room, and the staff acted unexpectedly rude, very unpleasant experience for a professional setting and a health hazard issue. Too bad that the entrance hall is ruined by some fake and kitschy decorations on the walls, that give really cheap impression. The rooms were fine, not too noisy and comfortable enough, but I think that also depends on the position etc. However the cleaning could be improved, particularly of the carpet that looks like it is not cleaned regularly for ages. Breakfast exceeded my expectation, with solid choices of fruits, dietary, fresh bakery products, and some plant-based option as well.

Stayed here in this hotel for 2 nights with my partner. Very outdated and dirty. Bedsheets filthy with stains on them from previous guests and you can hear guests upstairs as the walls are paper thin, sounds of water running and full conversations really. The toilet also being in a separate room from the sink? Stupid. Only thing going for it really is the location as it’s walking distance to the city centre. Also appalled as they haven’t had the decency to reply to my numerous emails about an item of very sentimental value that I left behind in their hotel which is beyond RUDE. Would honestly pay the bit extra and stay somewhere else with better cleaner facilities, nicer customer service and non-thieving staff. Have a nice day

An older building for sure, but nonetheless was pleasant. The staff were all very friendly, especially considering I don’t speak the language and was trying to communicate in English. The room was small, but it was just me so it was perfect. Just perfect for the price.

The location is fantastic, what stands out is the excellent treatment from Fatima that has been really kind and helpful from the minute we arrived, she has made our experience a 10/10. Many thanks Fatima !

Sometimes you get a good price for the money, other times the prices are similar to Thon hotel, and there are also times when rooms are not available online and you have to call in order to reserve but nobody answers the phone and if you ask at the reception they say that rooms are available for the date you want but you can't reserve from the reception and you have to call at that number where nobody answers :) . Anyway, I recommend if it's cheaper than Thon.

The rooms are big and nice. But the cleanliness is not perfect. Though, it is a very nice hotel with interesting history. And central located.

Excellent location, close to metro Rogier, shopping centers! 10 minutes from Grand Place, and 15 minutes from The Royal Quarter etc…. Large and clean room, coffe machine in the room, frindly staff. If i go back to Brussels, i would choose you again. Thank you!☺️

Location was great as it is very close to the metro and a lot of shops. However the building itself is quite old, was not expecting that.

Outdated hotel, it’s functional for where it’s located but lacks a bit of refurbishment and maintenance. Staff is friendly, helpful though.

Room was just the right for a solo traveller. Loved the espresso machine in the room and the breakfast buffet had a great selection. Easy access to metro lines and only a 6 minute walk to Brussels Nord.

I booked the "Comfort Room", for one night. In matters of location, it's quite good, as it's close to both the North Station and Grand Place. I wasn't expecting 4-star conditions from a 3-star hotel, but it was disappointing. The photos on booking do NOT reflect the state my room was in. The hotel is presented as elegant and clean. The reality is: the wallpaper has unglued itself, the carpet had multiple stains, the corridor smells of some cheap detergent, the bathroom door couldn't be closed, there was a faucet, not a mixer, which squirts cold water and the room was poorly acoustically isolated, as you are able to hear every whisper, footstep and door slam on the corridor.. It might offer something over one's head for one night, but don't book for more nights and definitely don't book for business meetings or a relaxing holiday!

Excellent hotel! The staff was really nice and everyone spoke Spanish and English which was great for communication. The room was huge and really clean, the bathroom was also very nice. We loved our time here!

It's great value for money and a clean and very pleasant vintage hotel that has had a very good refurb ,I stayed 3 nights in May 2022 .The room I stayed in was number 105, it was elegant and spacious, and decorated in an Art Deco style with a geometric pattern carpet and elegant simple lean lines, the bathroom was also in this style but using brand new fittings to give it a fresh clean feel, the room had a small but very functional coffee and tea maker which worked well, and very good open wardrobe space , with a good flatscreen tv. The dining room was elegant , well maintained nicely spaced out, with a very good selection of breakfast things for the price, [perhaps some bananas might be good] , otherwise it was great, the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly on the desk with my requests and the overall mood of the hotel was peaceful and relaxing, having a joint entrance made the hotel feel spacious and connected and modern The things that weren't so great were slight, I think the placement of the shower fitting and tray over the bath is in the wrong place , it's really hard to use once the screen is unfolded as there is not much of a gap between it and the bath edge and i'm fairly slim, as I almost grazed myself on the metal shower holder, I wasn't keen on the hard clear plastic chair in the bedroom. the entrance to the lift should be sign posted on the double doors so it can clearly be seen,as its hidden away so was confusing , as the doors were closed. The lighting in the corridors could be brighter [its a bit like The Shining ] For me the Spanish Hacienda decor in the historic entrance hall as its a great space with elegant proportions should be restored to its original decor, it's quite gaudy like the set of a bad play. Whilst it could look stunning, with some expert input and be a welcoming space

Perfect location with big and comfortable rooms. There is a metro station in front and you can walk easily to the grand place. Rooms are very spacious and beds are comfortable. It is only 5 mins walk to the Flixbus station.

Rooms were tidy and decorated nicely. Staff was overall pleasant. There were no outlets by the bed which was inconvenient, but the hotel is in an older building so this is understandable. I did have an incident with my shower drain being stuck shut, but the hotel fixed it for me in an appropriate amount of time. The lift was small, but again the building is older so this wasn’t a surprise. Overall good hotel for tourists looking for a place to stay for a few nights.

My group stayed here after finding our other hotel dirty and associated with prostitution. The staff was helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean, although out-dated. The bath had a shower hose attachment but no place to hang it, so it was a little awkward. No mini-fridge, coffee maker or other kitchen accessories. Location was great, just behind several restaurants and across the street from shopping. Breakfast was not included. Decent basic hotel with no frills.

The check in went very fast and the staff was generally friendly. Our room was small, but that is to be expected for the price we paid for it. The room on the other hand was not that clean. We found hairs in quite some places like the bed and the bathroom. On top of that, the toilet was just not clean. The room got very hot in the night, which was due to the absence of any sort of ventilation or air-condition system. The bathroom was big enough, but the shower was broken, which ment we had to hold the shower head. This made for a rather uncomfortable showering experience. The hotel is located in a nice neighborhood And very close to the metro station.

Newly refurbished, but my goodness the check-in was SHOCKINGLY SLOW! 40 mins for 5 people, they need to improve staff resources and training as this is an exceptionally negative first impression for a hotel.

There was no Nespresso machine in the room as stated online on the description. There was also no tub, shaving mirror OR hair dryer. The breakfast was okay, not great. Room cleaning NOT thorough. No vacuuming. The hotel is dark and damp. The mold made me sick. It is so musty and clausterphobic. And forget about getting into your room one second prior to 3PM - NOPE! Stingy. Stay anywhere else especially if you're allergic to mold.

We had a good time in there, good located and cheap price. But you can hear the other guests talk in their room even when they are not being loud. Another issue we had was that they were doing some reforms and they started at 8 am, which we thought was a bit early. But apart of that, like I said, really good location, and for the price, you can't really ask for anything else.

I have the same experience with the negative comment here. I have booked the room with a queen bed but it turns out a twin room. I have phoned the reception and try to negotiate with it. He said my booking does not limit twin room or double room and they do not have double room now. I have checked again my booking and it is clearly stated that I am booking a room with a queen bed. Also, I can still find the double room for tonight is still available on the web. I strongly recommend all readers here should clarify the room type at the reception before going up to your room.
