Brilliant! I'm sure this place is heading for a Michelin star or two. A tasting dinner with ten or eleven courses, each single one was creative, incentive, fun, and delicious. The service was fast, friendly and attentive. While serving the dishes, the waiters were knowledgeable and competent to answer any questions about the food. We came with our nine year old and she also enjoyed it (unsurprisingly, she was the only kid there). As of 2023, the price is very fair for the quality you get. Even though the area has so many good restaurants to try out, this is one of the places we're considering to come back to, once the menu has rotated, in a few months. Big recommendation! A bit of confusion was that the bill at the end had a line for the tip, even though a service charge was already included, and you paid for the main tasting course in advance anyway, including a service charge. So I assumed it's European style already included. But I hope I didn't commit a faux-pas with that assumption.

Absolutely lovely, creative experience. I wasn’t sure what to expect with this being such a new spot but it was refreshing and fun. The atmosphere is nice enough to bring a date, and cool enough to feel transported somewhere outside of SF. (It’s one soundtrack away from white lotus vibes.) When you walk in, you’re greeted with champagne and the opportunity to relax in the lounge for a bit before your meal experience starts. As you journey through your plates, you can tell how much heart has gone into this launch and the enthusiasm of those bringing you your dishes is delightfully contagious. Really great play with flavor and texture. The egg (sort of) was super tasty and fun but the delicata squash dish stole my heart. Excited to come back and see how this spot evolves.

Fantastic dinner with excellent wine pairing. The fixed menu was delicious and artfully presented. Plan about 2 hrs which starts with a sparkling wine as you get seated. The courses are ever changing but highlights on this night was the tomato salad, seared scallop, steak, and fluffy cream cheese desert was awesome. There was more and wish I had taken a picture of the menu as it was all so good. Will be back to this one for sure.

Solid tasting menu, but I didn't leave feeling full or as satisfied compared to other tasting menus. But there so much potential in further development with the chef's flavors. Standout dish: Egg, sort of. This was a surprise worth keeping on the menu.

Thoughtful and excellent choice of ingredients and very well presented. Service was high caliber. A glass of sparkling at the entrance. Questions answered, options offered, napkins were re-folded and cups were refilled. Dishes were extremely well made and prepared, delicate textures and flavors. I think my only complaint, a personal preference really, is that the flavors were too similar across dishes and slightly too salty for my taste. Otherwise, the experience was a dream. The vibes were relaxed (the space was well designed and furnished) but elevated. Thank you so much for having us!

Anomaly is a true gem of a restaurant! Chef Mike and his team made my wife and I feel so welcome (each guest was greeted with a glass of champagne). The quality of ingredients and inventiveness of the dishes at Anomaly really stand out. It was really cool to have a full view of the kitchen and process of creation. Dishes that we loved included the caviar French toast (yummm), tomatoes with truffle mouse, sea urchin roe custard, and the lamb two ways. Definitely recommend and we will certainly be back!

Update the the review: still excellent. The new menu is delicious and beautiful. The seasoned ingredients are used to the fullest. Still the use of mint chocolate, buy they gave me a peanut butter fudge instead. Delicious. We had a blast. Attention to details was superb. Most of the dishes were excellent. Some things like mint chocolate were not for me, but still beautifully presented, and my date gobbled them up with no problem. Excellent overall experience: beautiful food, place, people.

    - Food: Some very creative, amazing dishes but some were just bland/puzzling. - Service: Loved our sommelier but surprisingly overall service was not smooth and quite disruptive - we kept getting interrupted by the staff asking us innocuous questions and one was downright unpleasant. So strange considering their price point and the ambience they were trying to achieve. - Luckily we came with wonderful friends and had a fabulous evening together!

We had an amazing experience for an early Valentines dinner. The space was industrial yet comfortable and service was personable. It felt like you got to know the team. The dishes themselves were creative and for the most part excellent. To start we had a crispy fish chip with a smokey dollop of cream. Next was the “Egg”, a light and fluffy whipped potato with crisps on bottom. We enjoyed the following tomatoe soup for its fun presentation with liquid nitrogen as well as evolving taste/texture as the “snow” thawed. The following beet course was quite refreshing and a good palette cleanser. The petrale sole in was succulent and paired with a nice light sauce. However, our favorite main course was the shortrib with confit mushroom. It was slow cooked until quite tender and packed some flavor. The desserts were excellent as well. I’d definitely come back here or wherever else the team may be cooking next.

The tasting menu to try in SF. Affordable, creative, delightful. I recently had the pleasure of dining in Anomaly, after coming in to a beautiful setting we were greeted by the head chef himself with a complimentary glass of bubbly. Their wine list was impressive and their sommelier was incredible. Their staff is short which means you get mostly served by the chefs themselves which is a very refreshing experience and is awesome to be able to talk directly to them about their dishes. The food was all incredible- we didn’t find a single dish that we could fault and we were delighted by every course. I’ve been very lucky to be able to have been to many Michelin-starred restaurants and this one is one of the few that every dish hit a good note with non being unforgettable. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see them with a star of their own.

We were greeted with champagne and were taken to our table. The atmosphere is really nice as the tables are facing the completely opened kitchen. We could see that they were already starting to prepare the ameuse bouche. From all the dishes that were served to us the highlights were the egg yolk with white foam, the hot and cold soup, and the baby pork rib. The low-light for me was the tomato dish cause I never have appreciated tomatoes, but I finished anyways, and the fact that there was no bread with butter course before the main dish. Still it was an amazing experience where the chef came to the table to explain most of the dishes, and insights to the conception of some of them.

Spectacular food, beautiful setting. Worthy of a Michelin star soon. Dishes were creative, beautiful, and most importantly delicious. The spiced carrot soup stood out; I scraped my bowl clean! And the duck (pictured) was incredible. Wine pairing needs a little work, but it's appropriately priced. Half the dining room has a view of the open kitchen, which I loved. But if you don't prefer it, there's a side that's more secluded. Gluten intolerance was deliciously accommodated.

Highly recommend and will go back. Love how creamy and perfectly flavored, mixture of various culinary techniques, and the portion. I liked every dish, and the 72 hour slow- cooked short ribs and deserts were some if my favorites of the just.

Hidden gym, found it on TOCK, and we decide to try it! So surprise their food is great, each dish are warm and tasty, as fine dining restaurant, the food present is nice, all ingredients are fresh, in season. Each table keeps prefect social distance which is super nice during COVID.

Loved the modern chic ambiance and perfect lighting. The open kitchen looked very clean. It is a small crew of the host, 5-6 kitchen staff who are also servers, a server/busser, and a sommelier? (He came only for wine service so I assume.) Soon after we got seated, we got our water and presented with hors d’oeuvres but were left hanging to order drinks until we flagged the host. 2 appetizers were served before we got our drinks. The food was overly sweet, sour or salty (and unexpected cumin! I think) for my taste except for the fillet mignon which was perfect. Creative dishes and attractive presentation except for the huge portion of radish pickle (the anomaly??) Very pleasant dinner experience. Service fee is included in the bill.

One of the best dining experiences in SF. Every dish they brought out was special. They accommodated our dietary restrictions perfectly. The ‘egg’ dish was fun to look at and even better to eat. The desserts were all so delicious! The Chef was funny and brought out dishes himself. The price point was also great, especially for San Francisco. Will definitely be back soon.
