Sushi Zone is one of my favorite sushi places in San Francisco! The owners are so friendly and the food is absolutely superb! I have waited for over an hour to eat here on multiple occasions; it is definitely worth the wait!

The sushi was wonderfully presented and it was clear the chef was extremely skilled. However, they need more than one chef for the size of their clientele. It was 1.5 hours before I was seated and another 45mins before I was served. If they aren’t in the place to hire a second chef, then perhaps installing a sushi train would be better

Late night dinner. Decided to try this place and I fell in love with it! We sat at the booth and was greeted immediately! Ordered Miso soup as an appetizer and I ordered to different type of rolls. Which were the Hawaiian Roll #1 and the New York. Miso soup was served literally 8 minutes after I had placed it. Rolls did take about an hour to serve. However, it was worth the wait they were presented perfectly and had an awesome fresh taste. Best sushi in San Francisco I have ever tried before. The waitress apologized for wait on the food but explained that there was only one chef. But wow was it worth the wait!!

This is a pretty small store with not much indoor seating and only a bit more outdoor seating. The service is good though. You can order lots of sushi rolls and nigiri, etc, which are all quite solid. The baked muscles were really good. Prices pretty standard for SF so don't come frugal if you're also a big eater. Enjoy!

My favorite sushi in the city. Don't miss the mussel appetizers, too -- comforting and creative combinations. Also, this is the best parklet in the city -- good atmosphere and sounds control between tables/street and very well heated and comfortable, even on chilly San Francisco nights.

very small place with a very small menu. come here if you know what you like and are looking for basic rolls and basic nigiri. do not come here if you are expecting a fancy experience or a ton of options. not good for large parties, very good for small parties.

This place used to serve generously portioned nigiri sushi and maki rolls and seriously delicious sushi. This restaurant was staple for me even with the price increase by 30-35% after the new owner took over. I’ve been a devoted customer for 15 years. However some months ago this year, they started skimping on the size of the sushi - The fish on top of the Negri sushi is 30% smaller than it used to be, in the maki rolls are 40% smaller than it used to be. Earlier this year, we left feeling full after spending $110 for 2 people , and today we left hungry after spending $130 for 2. You have lost a devoted customer with your significant portion size reduction, and I will not be coming back!

I really hope my experience was just an off night, but the salmon nigiri here was horrendous and I had to spit it out. The fish was tough and almost crunchy like eating cartilage, and it had a fishy old smell. The mango salmon roll was delicious, sweet, and tender in comparison so I am just hoping the salmon nigiri was a mistake - but a terrible mistake for my first experience here. That salmon nigiri was legitimately worse than grocery store sushi which was a real shocker to me. My friends also had a piece of salmon nigiri in their orders and said the same thing, but ate it anyway.

Great quality sashimi and big portions at an affordable price. What's not to like?! The wait can be long though, so plan accordingly.

A little bit too expensive for being so crowded at openings and only accept cash, a couple of years ago was better I thought. The rolls we're excellent, but just it

Sushi Zome boasts a wonderful ambiance and exceptional service. The food quality varies based on the sushi rolls ordered—I've been there with friends, some rolls were outstanding while others were more average. Overall, the experience was enjoyable due to the great atmosphere and service, despite the varying quality of dishes.

I almost don’t want to tell you about how good the sushi is here. Fish so fresh you’d think we’re by the port. And the baked muscles…. A must try. They literally melt in your mouth. & I have not had friendlier, more welcoming service anywhere…. Not to mention the lower east-side NY vibe inside. This is how a neighborhood sushi joint should be. Thank you for some of the best bites around.

We’ve been coming here for more than a decade. Now we come with our little ones, who love it too. The team feels like family to us. And of course the sushi is delicious. The baked sea bass app, the Hawaiian I & II, the chefs special treats 😋💕

Amazing food. Hawaiian roll 1 and 2 are both amazing.

I'm sure i rated sushi zone in the past, but being away for so long and seeing how sad most of the city looks, places are shut down and these that are still in business offers very little quality for crazy high prices and then there is this little piece of heaven, taste like the old days, prices have gone up very moderately for incredible new experience of sitting outside and enjoying this magic sushi, better yet, magic food all together with the nicest management and ownership, it is so important to have these little gems to make you feel like it's not all lost..

Better, better & better. Everything you will find here is excellent. We were here after a few years & food was even better than our memories. This place is like a good bottle of wine, get better with time. Great service too.
