This restaurant is definitely worth a visit, even if it means spending a bit more. The food is truly outstanding, and the service is top-notch. Just be prepared for a slightly higher bill due to the 20% service charge and 5% SF tax, plus the usual US tax on top of that. However, the quality and service make it worth trying out every once in a while. Don't miss the Cheese Blueberry Dessert; it leaves a delightful lingering taste in your mouth even after you've left the place.

We wanted to try a lot, so we had the tasting menu. Everything was delicious 😋 but definitely too much food for the 2 of us. Leftovers are a good problem to have though

Fantastic food, and great service. Cocktails were really good. My personal favorite was Right Above it. Have you ever dipped a Parle G biscuit in a cocktail that tastes like masala chai? Me neither. Cheesy garlic naan was the highlight from the food. It was more like a pizza. Maska paneer was also amazing. I definitely recommend trying the dessert. The Shrikhand cheesecake was very unique.

Really fun dining experience. We eat Indian food a lot, but were totally lost with this creative menu. I think you can probably just pick anything & it will be delicious. It would be nice to have 3 or 4 people to share things with, so you could try more dishes. Cocktails are really creative & well made too!

We had a really nice pre-thanksgiving dinner at Besharam. We ordered the tasting menu. The food was amazing! The servers were very well informed on the food and ingredients. I am vegan and my wife is vegetarian. They were prepared and offered me choices to replace the default choices that contain dairy. Overall, I would highly recommend this Gujarathi dining experience. The restaurant is a bit away from the main food areas of the city. The decor itself is really nice in the room near the entrance. The adjoining room is a bit spartan and does not match the pricing or the food quality.

Besharam is an upscale Indian restaurant in Dogpatch. It may look like we tried everything on the menu, but I swear we only conquered about a quarter of it! LOL. My favorite was the drunken pani puri, which are crunchy semolina puffs filled with potato and shallots that you then top with a refreshing broth (tamarind, mint, gin) and plop in your mouth whole. I also loved their take on saag panner, offering instead maska paneer with freshly made cheese in a wonderfully spiced sauce. A close third was the Paresh's paratha that are filled with Pt Reyes blue cheese and topped with cherry compote. Cocktails also deserve a special mention, both with and without alcohol! We would have surely saved ourselves some money if we just did the tasting menu for $70 each, but it was fun to make our own.

We got the prefix menu with some add-ons and drinks. Drinks are very expensive. The food is spectacular and unique. We got seated in the art gallery and the service took a while to begin. 5 stars for food but not worth the price tag for the atmosphere.

Ample of street side parking. Perfect place for hanging out with friends or colleagues.. food is authentically subtle in taste which is good.. in a way.. Note: 20% Service Charge mandatory and 5% Healthy SF charge — may be that covers the tip
