I have to say, competition among restaurants is the best thing for customers. I live in a neighborhood where you can find five different Thai restaurants, in addition a few Korean and Chinese restaurants. However, I just love Thai food. So, why os competition so good for us food lovers? Well, at first it was Marneee Thai, years ago. Then their customer service and quality of food went down a few years back. Then the completion opened shop at various places. Then the pandemic hit. Once it was safe to go out again, I tried various Thai restaurants in my neighborhood. One of them was of excellent quality, better than OSHA Thai, which has no restaurant in my area. Their food was two classes better than I was used from Marnee Thai. I gave them a rave review. And then magic happened. I tried Marnee tonight, and I was totally surprised about the quality of their dishes. No more greasiness. No more poor service. No more overcooked rice. Everything was not just perfect for my taste. It was the first time that I tasted Thai food of such unexpected quality. It even tasted healthy. I had ordered three main dishes and my favorite dessert, sticky rice with mango. Every single dish was a symphony of flavor, color, and fragrance. The ingredients were absolutely fresh. The sticky rice with mango contained double the mango of competitors. And it was the ripe and juicy kind. What shall I say? Hi five to true competition and to the fact that competitors know about each other and then try to outclass each other.

Never again! This place does not deserve a star. It was crowded and loud inside, I felt like a sprout in a can. The plates on the table were dirty and had some grease on them. Worst customer service ever. The waitress was rude and did not listen to what I asked. She laughed at me because I wanted Tom Yum with beef. I wanted to order more food, but she did not wait and just ran away. Then even more customers walked inside, and she started moving my table while I was eating, in order to make enough space to sit them. The food was 2/5, compared to other places I've been to. The wine was good, but it couldn't make me any happier after bad service that I had.

I tried Thai food few times. But it was first time to try that food I forgot the name. Decoration and taste was unique. I am not used to that taste but it was not bad.

The Red Curry (I think it was called Dang Kang) was absolutely delicious. I would totally come back to this restaurant.

Small establishment but very tasty food. There are two locations; this one is closer to Golden Gate Park, tucked away in the inner Sunset. The seating is comfortable, and the decorations well-chosen. The food –even the more common items- is pretty memorable; we ordered dishes like the tea leaf salad and crab cakes. Presentation is great, utilizing garnishes, plate shapes and sizes, and the soft lighting to really accentuate the vibrant colors of the food. Prices are also reasonable for the portions; note that rice is a separate order.

Maybe I was stuck in the past, but when I went here after almost 10 years, I was expecting time to stand still. It didn’t. The minute you walk in, it’s cold. The atmosphere or ambiance is cold/sterile. It was like eating in a prison cell. Rushing to our table was a woman ( not a young person but an older person…maybe the new owner?) who did that all through our meal…rushing us through. She was not friendly and was not accommodating. I eventually told a younger staff member for her to back off. The food & menu? Definitely not the same. Would I go back. No. Would I recommend? No. These people should go back to Marnee’s original roots.

Overall, good, authentic Thai restaurant but nothing to blow your mind. The Pad Thai had good flavor and noodle texture. The prawns were under-seasoned with no wok-hei flavor. I tried the green curry and it was clean with great, complex flavor.

Heads up for vegans and vegetarians - be sure to confirm verbally that there is no fish sauce in the dish you're ordering! Otherwise delicious food and an inner sunset staple.

I used to love this place but so much anymore. Not sure if different chefs but the taste & portion of meal are ok not like I want more kind of flavor. Reasonable price.

go to thai place because i’ve tried a different dish every time and honestly have never tried something i didn’t like— which if you’re indecisive like me is a dream come true. just go with whatever your stomach is telling you because honestly all their descriptions sound good on the menu. so if you’re curious about something new but don’t know if you should stray from the dependable favorites of pad thai, tom yum, pad se ew etc. take the leap.

Food: I got the Kang Dang curry, and it was labeled medium spicy, but it gave my taste buds a run for their money! You buy the rice separately, with options for white or brown, but the brown looks like wild rice. My husband got a plate with scallops, shrimp, and curry, which was also delicious. Gluten free: At the time I went, the waitress said I can eat most anything except the chicken and duck. I understood that as any curry and From the Wok section, as well as noodle dishes. Basically, you have plenty of options! Service: The service was a little slow, but they were constantly doing something, so that's not really on them. Atmosphere: As soon as you walked in, the delicious aroma overwhelms and entices you! The music was a good level and the lighting was nice as well.

Sat here for dinner, great food, great service. My partner and I were sat quickly, and had our order taken briefly. Food came hot and fast. My partner really enjoyed their red curry with duck. Would visit again if in the area 😊🫶🏻

Absolutely a terrible experience! I was hosting my Canadian friend last night and wanted her to experience San Francisco Thai food at a restaurant that used to be good . Environment is dingy and dated and food honestly is not all that at all . In fact mediocre to say the least . But that’s not even the worst part .The waitress abruptly butted in about 3 times asking us what we wanted to order and wax extremely irritated when we were not ready . I just felt like they were wanting guests to get of there as fast as possible . This is surprising since the restaurant was pretty much empty . They kept the from door wide open and it was a very cold night . When I asked her if the door could be closed even half way , she refused . So we sat there freezing .unfortunately we had already ordered our food otherwise we would have left and I’m sorry we didn’t . we were barefly done with our meal at 8:30pm , when they turned on the lights to bright and basically hinting that they wanted us out . People were in the middle of their dinner. Horrendous experience. Will never step foot in there again !labs I suggest you either . Also overpriced food and beverages. Not worth time or money

The summer rolls were nice but nothing extraordinary. The Panang Beef was amazing. I usually don’t order beef for curry but I was amazed at how tender the beef was. The waiter listened to me (usually they don’t trust me when I say spicy) and the limeade and Thai iced coffee were good too.

Our go-to Thai location. We love the peanut sauce and their curries. Our faves are the mussamun chicken curry, panang beef, and pad praram. Always solid. If you like the standard noodle dishes (e.g., pad Thai, pad see ew), you may be a bit disappointed here - we don’t tend to be impressed with them when our kids get them. They can be dry and/or mushy. But it’s worth branching out and trying some of the dishes here - so many great flavors.

A small place, so prepare for a bit of crowdness during dinnertime. We had to wait a little for our order but it wasn't that long. The food was super tasty, We had a special salad with green mango, avocado and shrimp in it which would have been a perfect dish on its own. Then came the main dishes, fried rice with pineapple and prawns which were over the top!! I highly recommend this place, it's friendly and you will leave with a happy, full stomach. :)

Wonderful food though apparently very restricted if you need to be Gluten Free and Dairy Free like me. I'm not sure waiter understood my request but was told only the Pad Thai and the Thai Fried rice were safe. I went with the Thai fried rice with pineapple and prawns. Generous portions - I had l leftovers to take home. Delicious! It is a small restaurant and I was amazed we were able to get a table for 12 of us on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. I got some bubble tea from a few doors down and the staff seemed fine with bringing in outside drinks.

Has a good selection of Thai dishes outside the standard set of pad Thai and curries. They're also very nice. Also has a broad collection of alcohols including wine and sake. Honestly, it's catering a bit to wealthier San Franciscan who want to experience exotic cultures but who still, honestly, cannot handle their spice. If you want a nice night out and to try something new but still have a glass of wine, then it's great and you'll love it. If you're really looking for those rich complex Thai flavors that knock you away, then it's not really here. Maybe if you look Thai, but I look white and they asked me if I can handle spicy food after I ordered. Not once, anywhere, ever, has anyone ever made me spicy food with all the traditional nuance and complexity after asking me if I could handle spicy food. So while I'm glad there's a restaurant offering these dishes that can't be found anywhere else in the bay, I cant recommend the flavors for the prices.
