I don't like to look for the bad in a meal. But here I am, struggling to find anything nice to say. My boyfriend got a hot spicy chicken pizza. Visually it's very appealing. Taste wise, I don't understand what they were going for. No salt, spice or flavor beyond mushy warm tomatoes. I got the vegetable Tikka masala. First off be warned you must order rice separately, or you get none. The Tikka masala sauce was way too oily. It ate almost like a tomato soup with with half oil instead of broth. None of the married warm spices and intense flavors you'd expect in a curry. My Naan was greasy and flat like a tortilla. Literally the most unsatisfying Indian food I've ever had!

This place is terrible. The pizza taste like dirty old rags and the food is either way to oily and salty or has no taste at all. The service is horrible. Everyone there is either disrespectful or can’t speak english. They do not make an effort into cleaning this place either. When does the health inspector even come? Do not waste your money on this horrid restaurant. Will definitely not be coming again.

Located in outer sunset, Golden Gate Indian Cuisine & Pizza offers an extensive menu from Indian to pastas and pizzas. I remember trying them couple of years ago when I first visited SF. Back then I tried their samosas, curries and kabab. They were pretty good. I believe they are still good. This time I tried their hot spicy chicken pizza and samosa. While samosa did taste hood, pizza was very unappetizing. On top of that it was burnt. The cheese wasn’t of the best quality and it was nowhere near spicy. For a small pizza and over twenty dollars, I would skip it. The chicken was overly colored, could be the same chicken they use for Tandooris. I would still try their Indian dishes though.

As soon as I ordered masala tea and paid for it, the lady behind the counter said to someone in the back 'pehle waali garam karke dedo' ie just reheat and give the earlier one (presumably from a previous order) it's like saying just reheat and give the last orders left over espresso. The tea looked almost anemic and didn't even have a bit of sweetness.. like come on, I'm not diabetic or did I order pheeki chai. Ambience is incredibly shady, Do not recommend.

Prepare yourself for a culinary journey gone horribly wrong. Golden Gate Indian Cuisine & Pizza, claiming to offer a fusion of Indian flavors with the beloved pizza, falls victim to an abomination that should never have seen the light of day. Brace yourself for a taste experience that will leave your taste buds begging for mercy. As I took my first bite of the Indian Pizza at Golden Gate Indian Cuisine & Pizza, I couldn't help but question the sanity of the person responsible for this monstrosity. Gordon Ramsay himself would be left speechless by the disastrous combination of Indian spices and pizza dough that resulted in a culinary catastrophe of epic proportions. Let's start with the crust. It was as appealing as a stale naan bread left out in the rain. Dry, flavorless, and lacking any semblance of the light and airy texture that defines a good pizza crust. It crumbled under the weight of the ill-conceived toppings, unable to provide a solid foundation for this culinary disaster. Now, onto the toppings. The mishmash of Indian spices and pizza ingredients created a cacophony of flavors that clashed with every bite. The chicken tikka masala topping was a sad excuse for what should have been a vibrant and aromatic curry. Instead, it tasted like leftover chicken drenched in a bland tomato sauce, desperately clinging to the hopes of salvaging some semblance of authenticity. As if that wasn't enough, the cheese on this atrocity was an absolute nightmare. It resembled a rubbery, tasteless slab that mocked the very essence of what cheese should be. It lacked the creaminess and melt-in-your-mouth goodness that one would expect from a pizza topping, leaving me questioning the integrity of their sourcing and storage practices. To add insult to injury, the overall presentation of the Indian Pizza was nothing short of hideous. The toppings were haphazardly thrown together, lacking any artistic finesse or attention to detail. It was a sad sight to behold, as if someone had given up halfway through the process, leaving behind a visual representation of their culinary incompetence. Golden Gate Indian Cuisine & Pizza, it's time to face the truth. Your Indian Pizza is an embarrassment to both Indian cuisine and the sacred tradition of pizza-making. Gordon Ramsay himself would likely go into a fit of rage, unleashing a torrent of expletives to express his disbelief at such a culinary abomination. Save yourself the disappointment and steer clear of this misguided attempt at fusion cuisine. Head to a reputable Indian restaurant for authentic flavors or a dedicated pizzeria for a true taste of Italy. Spare your taste buds the torture that awaits them at Golden Gate Indian Cuisine & Pizza. In culinary despair, Tiaga Nidhan

I was out at Ocean Beach at sunset, starving afterwards and looking for a place open late before my long 1 hour journey on the bus back to my lodging. Found this place open late and have been wanting to try an Indian-style pizza, so I had to! Of course, I can never resist mango lassi or pakora - both were fantastic (along with their sauces). The Tikka Masala pizza was good for sure, but I'll admit I was expecting a bit more of typical tikka masala sauce as the base. It was more or less lots of veggies/herbs and tandoori chicken. They were SUPER friendly as well, no complaints!

I love places with personality and character. Family owned and operated is what I prefer to support. I love the Indian food my kid loves the pizza. It's perfect for both of us.

The pizza wasn't bad (not much flavor, but the crust was nice), but I got a distinctly unfriendly vibe--aside from the young lady up front, everyone else was unfriendly. I snapped a receipt for expenses, and heard a man muttering about it... don't order here unless you're getting it to go. Why be in the business of selling food if you're acting like you don't want to sell any? Weird, man.

I was super hungry and I was looking for something to eat when I stumbled across this restaurant. Once I walked in it was very dark, shady and was very unsanitary. I was with my son and he was very afraid of the dark. I told him it was okay but still kept an eye out. The servers were very distracted and stubborn. The reviews said the tikka masala pizza was very good so I ordered it. It took about 30-40 minutes and I was going to leave until they came out with my order. The server put the hot dish right next to my son and he almost burned himself? Clearly not safe for young kids! The pizza was rubbery, chewy and felt very stale as the chicken was undercooked and raw. I ordered my son a milkshake but it never came. The total cost was pretty expensive and the food came in very small portions! I saw a kid running around the restaurant and a 10 year old looking girl was taking orders on the phone. Overall I do not recommend coming here as the bathroom was smelly and dirty and the food seemed stale and old. Not coming here ever again!! 😡😡😡

This is an awesome spot in the outer sunset to grab a wide variety of food. Their menu spans from American and Italian to authentic Indian cuisine. They're all equally delicious and i highly recommend this spot to anyone in the area looking for a pizza, a burger, or some legit curry

Food was good, staff was extremely rude to me. Even through delivery, they went out of their way to make me feel unwelcome and that they did not want my business. 20/100, would not recommend.

Wonderful! This is my favorite place for takeout on any day of the week. This family run business is an amazing establishment and never fails to keep me fed. Great people! Amazing service! Incredible food!

This is arguably the best Indian food I have eaten in San Francisco. Family run. Give them a chance, they will not disappoint. I will say this to the head chef, stop making pizza and cook the flavorful dishes that your country is known for. It's a bit silly to go Indian restaurant and see Italian food. There is an old saying, if you try to please everyone you end up pleasing no one.

Well there’s a lot I want to say and most is not good. I ordered Lamb Tikka Masala and garlic naan. I will start by saying I was excited cause the aroma in the restaurant was amazing however the food lacked the flavor I was smelling. The lamb was not tender at all as well as the flavor got left somewhere from the kitchen to the table. The naan wasn’t it at all either. I was expecting basmati rice but got regular rice instead which didn’t make the dish at all. My one last thing was the tap water I was served with something floating in it. I will not be returning.

My family and I were visiting San Francisco and we were craving some Indian food and this restaurant showed up in my recommended . When we got there the place seemed a little bit sketchy because it was kind of underground and the inside was very dusty and dirty and the floor was extremely slippery my daughter even slipped! The service there was also horrible and the portions were extremely small and not worth the price. There were also some weird noises like fans or something in the roof and it seemed like it was about to fall down and my kids were very scared. The food was not the best but it was the best part of the meal. I got the Indian chicken salad and the lettuce had mold on it and it was very soggy too. My husband ordered the Indian Tea which was just hot water and also got the Hot spicy wings but it was very dry and over cooked. My kids also shared a cheese pizza. The cheese kept falling off the pizza and was very dry and rubbery and so was the bread. For the appetizers we all shared the meat samosas and they were almost 5 bucks for only 2 small pieces with NO meat!! My son and daughter got the mango milkshakes but it was only hot water with mango powder and it was very powdery and my kids came home with a stomach ache!

I've been eating here since I moved to the sunset over four years ago. The food is always consistent the service is always top notch.i cannot attest to the atmosphere for dinner inside as I've not yet dined here it's always been delivered. I believe it to be family owned and I am always greeted with a smile from one of them. I looked at a review talking about the atmosphere here and having a kid serve them. I myself wouldn't care if I was served food at a restaurant by child family member at least they would be authentic and of Indian descent and as we all know a lot of people quit jobs like this to receive free money off our government. Great spot, great food, try it because they try their best🙏

The place is locked away from crowd and crowded street, the interiors look okay. Food is good just about okayish. However the tables are cleaned and maintained. It kinda stinks of the left over food. Service is okay. The kids managing mess up the bills. If you don’t check the amount bill you might end up paying for others meal

The orders were super small For the price. 16 dlls and I got not even 15oz.of food, forget about meet because you would get 3 or 4 pieces. They would ripped you up for a food that also doesn't have a great flavor. I would never buy here again and people need to be aware of this bad restaurant

The chicken tikka masala pizza is INCREDIBLE! Delicious, rich, but balanced flavors. The cheese pizza, samosa, and mango lassi are equally delicious. Don’t let the humble exterior fool you! Give it a try!

This is one of the best. The service is amazing and the food is even better. I could never find a better place than this. There is so much flavor and a right amount of food servings. It is so good. My favorite place to eat.
