The staff was so friendly and have great food recommendations. The food came out so quickly and was INCREDIBLE! Highly recommend the lemon ginger apple cider. I got the smashed potatoes and my friend got the Dutch pancake. Both were so satisfying. Far exceeded our expectations. Parking was limited and it wasn't very busy so plan for that. So worth the walk though!

Nice brunch place with good, clean food! Our favourite was Veggie Grain Bowl and Dutch pancakes. Both had very unique and distinct flavours. Crispy chicken sandwich was also delicious. Good vegetarian options.

My wife and I came here for dinner at the recommendation of a friend - we were not disappointed! We had bread, two salads, and two pastas, which was more food than we needed (could have done without one of the pastas). But everything was amazing. In particular, the bread / butter was unbelievable, and both salads were delicious and satisfying. Simple but extremely well-made dishes with high quality ingredients. My wife ordered a cocktail which was also excellent. We had a strawberry dessert which was good but only “ok” relative to everything else. Good service and typical SF prices for something of this quality. We will be back!

As others say vegan options are a limited but I loved what I ordered and definitely recommend if you are around Ocean beach. You could choose from soup, the asparagus toast and the veggie grain bowl. I ordered the last two and wasn’t disappointed! The grain bowl was your basic bowl but really good and healthy and the asparagus toast had a delicious combination of flavours. My friend ordered the French toast (non vegan) and said that was very good as well. We’ll be back! Loved the relaxing vibe dining outside

The asparagus toast was delicious (this one has replaced avocado toast due to the high cost of avocados). French toast was also really good. The breakfast sandwich was the only item with room for improvement.

Really great brunch place after a day at Ocean Beach! I would recommend their veggie grain bowl with hummus, broccolini and roasted pork! 😋 Great for a first date, but also for a group of friends! The breakfast sandwich is also a very solid option! 🥐 On a sunny and warmer day, they also have seats outside, near some nice trees ☺️

In contrast to other reviews, I came here for dinner before heading to watch the sunset on Ocean. There was no queue for a seat at 6 on a Friday. It’s a good walk from Great Highway. Parking is a bit tricky. I parked 2 blocks down. Ordered 2 wines the infamous Levain bread and mushroom risotto. Beautiful interior inside. There is limited seating. Levain bread was fluffy and light. The Cabernet also sweet and smooth. Mushroom risotto packed a good punch.l with flavor and texture. It’s not cheap, our bill came out to ~ $80+. The crowd vibe was chill: families, couples and friends catching up. Their menu is definitely more catered for brunch. It looks amazing online. Debating if it’s worth the 1-2hr wait I read here. But then again that’s a normal SF standard time.

I had a latte and a bacon breakfast sandwich too and they were great but I shared these smashed potatoes and they were the absolute star of the show. My god they were good. I wish I could go back in time and eat them again. 10/10

Weird atmosphere but the food was incredible. We got the pancake and French toast, they were both delicious. You pay before you eat, which was odd...and they brought us room temp water after our food arrived instead of when we sat down.

Come here for brunch on Saturday morning because the restaurant has outdoor seating. Here's the lowdown for ordering brunch, customers put in the order and pay for it in the front of the restaurant before sitting down at a table with an assigned number, and wait for the food to be brought to the table by a server. The staff were friendly. Ordered the Levain Toast with jam and added a side of eggs and a side of pork. The Dutch Pancakes with berries was lofty and delicious, definitely a unique dish to have while in the Sunset.

Great local restaurant with delicious brunch /lunch options. Wish we could have tried everything. Efficient, unobtrusive service. Saw families and solo eaters alike. Would recommend if you are looking for good food and an unfussy place to just enjoy company.

Would have liked a dark roast for our lattes but everyone seems to be doing medium roast nowadays. Excellent food, made fresh with good different flavors and garnish. We had the squash Levain toast and the brekkie sandwich with the pulled pork and guacamole. Next time we will be ordering the smashed potatoes cause it looked like everyone else sure did! Service was pleasant and quick. Good sized street patio to eat at as well.

This might be my favorite brunch spot when visiting San Francisco and it's around the sunset community which overall is a lovely and laidback vibe. I've been to this spot twice and both visits were phenomenal. The grilled cheese is one of the best I've had in town and the waiter had recommended to pair it with a tomato basil soup which was to die for! If you're a fan of tomato and grilled cheese, definitely swing by and give this spot a try. I've also tried the breakfast sandwich which is done really well, the ingredients are fresh and made with care and love. The venue is comfortable, nice decor, and there's seating available outside and inside which is really neat. Also, if you're in a rush or short on time for a busy packed day, then I have good news for you. This spot takes your order right as soon as you arrive and they do a great job of getting your food out to you quickly! And did I mention, it's really good food! :) Highly recommend checking Outerlands out if you're in San Francisco.

Food was great, service was "ok". Pricey but yummy. Had the egg breakfast sandwich, mashed potatoes, Laté & fabulous chocolate chip 🍪 cookie

I just finished walking my dog on the beach on a beautiful warm sunny day following over a week of cold overcast days and chilly nights. I stopped in at this quaint cafe for a quick bite and a warm cappuccino. I decided on the French toast which is made with sourdough bread they make in house and it’s topped with fresh nectarines, toasted almond slices, and warm maple syrup. My server Becca was so nice even bringing out a small bowl of water for my 🐶 I can’t wait to try some of their other items.

We went on a Saturday morning, just before 10 AM. Had to wait for about 20 minutes, which wasn't too bad. We both got the breakfast sandwich, 1 with pulled pork and the other with bacon, and shared the french toast. Cappuccino and hot cider for our drinks. We both enjoyed everything! Great staff, too.

Such a high quality breakfast spot. Feels hidden gem. Incredible combo of salty and sweet foods. And the extra kicker is such a friendly and responsive staff. Had a situation where they forgot a dessert on our order but after kindly asking them where the dessert was, they brought it out and comped it for us. Recommend the pulled pork sandwich, the Dutch pancake, and the sticky bun.

Only outdoor dining! Order first, then try to get seats yourselves. 20% tips auto added. Food tasted fresh and good flavors, but at these prices, there are higher CP alternatives!

Great meal and experience here. Tasty meal options and small but tasty beer list. Vegetarian options as well. Great service and relaxed vibe. Definitely recommend for a laid back lunch.

Really nice restaurant and decor. I ordered the Spiked apple cider drink it was absolutely delicious. Maaaybee the choice to put salt on the grilled cheese was not a good one, but I did enjoy the fresh bread and the light butter flavor of the cheese. The bacon was absolutely delicious!

I had the French Toast and really enjoyed it. The flavors with the almond, vanilla, peaches and syrup paired so nicely with it. The only change I would make if I could would be more peaches. They really were the highlight of the dish and left me wanting more of them. There was also some minor construction going on across the street that was a bit noisy. So if you are hoping to sit on the patio, keep that in mind, you may find inside nicer.
