Restaurant Cafe Dumpling restaurant Dim sum restaurant

👍👍 This is my favorite dim sum along clement in the Richmond. Always freshly made and delicious, and great staff. Get here early, because they will sell out of some things (congee by 10:30AM!) and often close early afternoon, before their posted hours. For those alarmed by the shark fin dumplings, don'... People often mention dumplings, shrimp,

It was all yummy. I ate the sesame ball before I took a pic. Shrimp dumpling, taro, turnip cake. The lady warmed the cakes in the microwave. Turnip cake was still crunchy and smooth inside.

The line here was shorter than the one across the street a few blocks away, and I'm willing to bet this place is just as good as the other. I got a variety of buns, all were fresh and very delicious. My favorites were the shrimp steamed dumplings and chicken buns. The staff were also very patient with us as we decided to be a bit spontaneous once inside and chose some options while watching them sift through various buns. Finally, this place was pretty affordable! We bought 12 pieces, varying in buns, rolls, and dumplings, for $13!

Prices have gone up over the years and dim sum size has shrunk a bit but nevertheless this place still makes delicious dim sum. From the delicate steamed dumplings to the crunchy perfectly fried sesame balls every item on the menu is well made and keeps me coming back for more. The barbecued pork buns both steamed or baked are wonderfully sweet and savory and can be a basis of a quick satisfying lunch paired with a few of the warm flaky custard tarts for dessert. You can enjoy your selections here with coffee if you want. There is also a bakery section in the back of you want a slice of cake or pie.

Get here early, because they will sell out of some things (congee by 10:30AM!) and often close early afternoon, before their posted hours. For those alarmed by the shark fin dumplings, don't worry, it does not have shark fin. Shark fin is illegal in CA and I doubt you'd find it it in dim sum at this price anywhere.

My mainstay dim sum place on Clement. I also get fresh Joong (Chinese Tamales) when they’re available too! We loved just seeing the restaurant featured in a cameo in the new Marvel blockbuster Shang Chi as well!

Our favorite takeout dim sum spot with a curated selection of the classics! Their shrimp dumplings (har gow) are THE best on Clement Street - thin translucent skin with abundant, real shrimp filling (not the pasty fillers that others use)! We like to get all the steamed items here (har gow, shumai, scallop and cilantro crystal skin dumplings, etc) and also the fried sesame balls and xian shui jiao (ham sui gok). Then if lines aren’t too long, we’ll round out the takeout feast with coconut sweet rice balls from Good Luck Dim Sum across the street, fried shrimp dumplings, luobosi bing (flaky radish cake), and steamed bbq bun from Xiao Long Bao a few doors down. The best of the best on Clement Street!

Food is very good and everything is made fresh daily. Budget friendly prices. Should be in the Zagat Guide. Definitely Recommend.

Great thin skin on the har gow. They have a sign up that says cash only. PS in response to the comment about shark fin — you’re not getting shark fin for $3.50 for 3 dumplings, the name is now in reference to the shape

I'm basic, and got an order of har gow (shrimp) and pork siu mai. Fast service, great price, delicious food.

I won’t come back and don’t recommend this place. People are racist and impolite. I came to buy foods as I saw good reviews but they treated us like trash. I will not come back and will not support this place.

This is a standard dim sum take-out only restaurant. There weren't any fried donut rolls to go with the porridge so I decided to get dim sum only. I don't get how some dim sum restaurants offer porridge but not the fried donuts. Soy sauce chow mein could go well with porridge but, that was sold out. The redeeming quality is the size and taste of their pork dim sum, shrimp dim sum and turnip cake. The line might get long as there is only one person working.

Great dim sum at reasonable prices. Like shrimp, scallop and chive dumplings. Pretty good English and friendly. Usually only one person running counter. Can get pretty busy. Sometimes cook to order. Fresh & hot

Very rude when you ask for prices! Chicken bun tasted nasty like old chicken that had freezer burn .$3.00 are you kidding me? Terrible customer service and attitude was super terrible! Don’t go here. Inferior food and very low class!!
