Terrible experience - if I could give less than 1 star I would. We sat inside about a month ago after a movie. It took over 2 hours to get our food! They were having arguments about deliveries in the middle of the restaurant. They were rude when we asked what was the status on our food and they pretty much ignored us the whole time. IMHO they should just focus on take out and close the restaurant as their customer service is awful and the food was definitely not worth the wait.

I should have read the review before I ordered. Among all Indian food I ate in my life, this one taste the worst. I am speechless that the chicken Tikka masala has bland taste, not watery , just one tomato sauce taste. Butt also some other taste which should be in are missing. It doesn't taste good at all. The nan I got is very oily . The chai tea is the worst, it just taste hot water with milk and no sugar. In addition, they charge you $3 for each. And they delivered 1 hr late to me too. disappointed. I gave two stars they pack my drinks very well to avoid spilling. The delivery guy said thank you for waiting.

What a horrible experience! Too bad because I used to Come in here all of the time... The owner / manager was absolutely shameless, unembarrassed & unethical. Cleanliness is questionable: The server smelled SO bad of body odor it was repulsive. I am horrified to think of what the kitchen is like. We were drinking water from a carafe. When we got toward the bottom muck & small Flies fell out of the carafe and into our water glasses. The carafe was clearly dirty when filled with water. We could not see it before that due to condensation on the glasses. The owner said nothing- took it away and brought us Ice cream. Ridiculous! It took over 40 minutes to start getting food that was ordered and they served the rice last- far after the main dishes that are customarily eaten with rice or nan. We were getting ready to Leave & food started to arrive... It was NOT crowded. In the end The owner / manager brought our check and said here's your bill. Let me know if you'd like me to take anything off of it. That is one of the tackiest things I've ever seen in the way that he approached us. The entire experience was unconscionable and professional and unethical. Shameful. No integrity at all. I got a bottled water to wash down what was left after the chunky water, and he charged us for it He should've made accommodations to the check and not left it up to us to ask for a discount. There is absolutely no sign of shame regret embarrassment whatsoever for the horrific experience that we had in there. We ordered enough food to take home leftovers and we didn't even have it packaged up and take it home. I am a business owner. I would be absolutely embarrassing. Horrified, if any customer ever dealt with anything like we were dealing with their. Sad enough the other 2 tables were experiencing the same thing. I am a neighbor and walk by this restaurant daily. I will NEVER go back. EVER! He could have made it better or right at any time and he did not. No apology- just dropped off a small bowl of ice cream. We were super patient fir 45 minutes... My date even left a tip & we left.

Delighted in a solo meal while I studied. I reveled in authentic saag and samosas and lassie, tastes reminding me of childhood. Owner and servers were friendly, servings were large and prices affordable. Happy ambience with Indian music. Grateful to find a warm and welcoming place on a Friday night.

We went out on a Wednesday night for a casual dinner. We decided on the West Portal area since we live close by. And since we haven't had indian food in a while, we decided to try this place instead of Little Original Joe's next door. Interiors are a little outdated and only 2 other tables were occupied when we got there. We decided on the set menu for 2 which was about $45 and I got a mango lassi as well. The set menu had chicken tikka, saag paneer, samosas, grilled meat, rice, naan, and a dessert. Naan was too oily for me, and the chicken tikka a little too salty, but overall good value for money. We left full with food to take home.

Decided to order from here for the first time, delivery. Food arrived on time but wasn't exactly what I had expected. Sure it was flavorful, but when I've ordered biryani from other places, it generally had more than just rice, seasoning and the protein. This calamari biryani had nothing but the seasoned rice, a few almond slivers, and sixish calamari rings. I had also ordered the mushroom mattar, but when it arrived, all I got was a container full of sauce, three-ish scoops of peas and a few blocks of very firm tofu. The calamari curry was just a handful of calamari rings in a very soupy/watery sauce. The chicken korma was similarly devoid of anything but the protein and the very soupy sauce. In fact, when I first set the three containers, the mattar, korma, and curry next to each other, all drowning in sauce, the only way I could tell the difference between them were the proteins and peas. I've never had indian food so devoid of any other ingredients before and it was definitely surprising. Although the food was okay, I probably won't be ordering from here in the future.

Wow, this place is amazing. I have no idea why there would be any negative reviews for this restaurant, this place is GREAT. Me and my friend came here without any reservation, and were the only ones here around 6pm, and the food and service was literally Top Notch… even got free dessert and a complimentary glass of wine. Our server Jash Anpreet was AMAZING, and went above and beyond. Highly recommend. 5 stars forsure ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 🌟

Ordered pick up 1 and a half hours prior to arrival and pre-paid. Called and confirmed order/time of pick up. Arrived at restaurant but no food ready. They had the printed receipt showing the correct date and time of when the food should be ready. They said they got the date confused. Had to make entire order on the spot. Pick up was supposed to be at 10:30 pm. Didn’t leave until 11:05 pm. Unacceptable. Was driving from LA to San Francisco and specifically planned the order so my family and I can eat dinner and settle in. I have never experienced anything like this level of incompetence and failure at a restaurant before. They blamed us for what happened. Be careful with these guys. Don’t recommend whatsoever. Avoid at all costs. Portion of food was undercooked. Go to another Indian spot. NOTE: The entrees don’t come with rice. Added extra rice to the already placed online order; pay upon pick up. They didn’t have the decency to acknowledge the mistake or the courtesy to make a gesture of goodwill to mitigate it. Absolutely atrocious customer service.

After googling a few places, Clay oven was the best when it came down to timing. Service was great and food was awesome, we tried the fish pakora and tandoori sampler as appetizers and concluded with Naan, butter chicken and saag paneer. For the price and quality, the place is worth it. We also had an opportunity to meet the chef, Balbir, great personality.

Very good option for affordable Indian food. The price to portion ratio surprised me. We over-ordered but were happy to have the leftovers for lunch the next day. The Chicken Tikka Masala was excellent. Garlic naan was flavorful - it was more like a garlic butter naan. The mushroom chili naan felt like too much - almost like a dish in itself, not as like naan to eat the other items with. The chicken biryani was good but I wouldn't say it's the best I've had. The rice had good spices and the chicken was not dry.

I will give it 4.5 stars, for the starters spinach pakoras and vegetable pakoras were very good, we ordered Malai kofta and paneer jalfrezi along with garlic naan which were also very good. Good ambience and excellent customer service, overall had a very good evening

I always try Biriyani in different restaurants but this dishes is not acceptable as Biriyani. The big problem is most of the restaurants mix rice & curry and called Biriyani. I feel this dish like that. Disappointed ☹️

Just walked out after sitting at a table for almost 20 minutes; we were the ONLY ones in the restaurant. Never greeted, never got water, never got menus. The man at the counter simply answered the phone when a new order was called in, and completely ignored us. Friggin' unbelievable!

Chicken Tiki Masala is sooo yummy! The chicken is super moist. The sauce is perfect. Love the garlic and plain Nann bread! Great service . The owner is lovely and attentive! Chicken Korma is my fav too!

Overall a good experience, the delivery was easy, on time and best FREE( min 20 dollar order) ! The food was good. The rice, and Naan were cooked perfectly. The chicken Tikka Masala was on the sweet side and definitely needed more spice and flavor. My favorite was the papadum and dipping sauces that were included. The green was fresh and spicy and the other was like a smoky sweet taste. I also enjoyed the raita, it was tangy and perfectly seasoned. The price is right and I would order again but maybe a different curry. If anyone could recommend a more flavorful dish I would appreciate!

I never write reviews like this. Worst Chicken Tika Masala I have ever had. If I wanted tomato sauce I would have gone to Joes nextdoor. Very disappointed.

We loved this restaurant. They had the best Malai kofta I've ever tried and I get it every time I go to Indian.

One of my favorite Indian places I go to when visiting family in SF. The delicious smell of fresh baked naan and aromas from the spice are wonderful! The dishes are seasoned perfectly and the staff is very accommodating. I recommend the chicken tikka masala or tandoori chicken with a side of your favorite naan selection.

I always order my Indian food from here. My favorite is the Naan and chicken Tikka Masala. But also everything is really good. The lamb, chicken or calamari biryani is delicious. Samosas are great. Nice and crispy on the outside and soft on the center. Potatoes are well seasoned. Onion bhaji is now my most favorite food. If anyone is unfamiliar it is basically an onion ring but instead of 1 onion it is a bunch of thinly sliced onions fried in a really nice seasoned batter. One thing to note: Most items I mentioned are great for those who don't like spicy food (I know, I know, what's wrong with me. Don't judge me, I cannot handle spicy foods and therefore will not eat a bag of hot cheetos) but with my tolerance level I truly enjoy the food I get each time. I cannot go wrong. One of the few restaurants that honor the "mild" option.
