A gem of a place with beautifully prepared and delicious Italian food of high quality. We had the calamari served with a spicy tomato sauce that enhanced this dish well. The brushetta was nicely presented and quite good. We shared a tasty pizza with a crusty thin crust topped with artichoke hearts, mushrooms, peppers, and prosciutto. For the main courses we had salmon, petrale sole, lamb shank, roast free range chicken, and veal parmigiana. Each dish was nicely plated with colorful vegetables and side dishes. We shared the famous cheesecake, tiramisu, and cannoli for dessert and each was split for sharing and brought joy to our group. If you are in the area this is the place to go for excellent food and service.

we did a quick search for italian food outside of SF on our drive south because we wanted to get out of the city. we were so glad we picked this location because the taste of our dishes were on point. i really enjoyed the lasagna with the cheesy sauce all over the plate. i'd suggest stopping by here as the street is also very walkable with some nice small shops to visit.

The host started the experience out with a friendly interaction. We really liked the host. It was also a beautiful day out and we were excited to enjoy some Italian cuisine. Now the review sadly is all negative. I ordered what was the worst and most gummy Chicken Parmesan I’ve ever had. The sauce was somewhere between the liquid from a canned of crushed tomatoes and ketchup. It was particularly sad as I haven’t had a Chicken Parmesan in awhile and I was so excited. The veggies that came with the dish were either over cooked or undercooked. All a bummer. The rosé my partner ordered was a house rosé that she said tasted like boxed wine reminiscent to her Franzia college days. She ordered spaghetti vongole and while the clams were well cleaned and cooked they didn’t taste fresh and the pasta itself had no flavor. She only ate two clams with the second one being to confirm that something wasn’t right with the first one. Left a good tip because the service was good, but the food was awful. Even the bread was stale. We will not return. We did let them know about the food, and they offered to give us more bad food. Update: my partner ended up being sick. So that’s a positive on the clams not being quite right.

Came here for a late birthday Dinner. I used to pick up Doordash orders from here. Located in West Portal. Food was good but I can’t pronounce anything on the menu. Dessert was my favorite. Good environment for a small party. Gratzi

Food was good. I had the grilled veggies as a starter (no pics), finished with the lamb shank, friends ordered the risotto and shrimp & scallop pasta. Everything was very good

The food is always seasoned to perfection, with the sides (sauteed spinach and sauteed mixed veggies) nicely complimenting the main entree. The bread is always delicately tasty. Not shown: Insalata Mista. You can't go wrong dining in or ordering takeout. Spiazzo is one of my fave places to dine and well worth the money spent!

This is a great Italian restaurant! Their pizza is good (cheaper than other places in West Portal) and their pastas are fantastic! They are NOT dog friendly, so plan accordingly if you have your pet with you.

Came here on a busy weeknight and had a nice experience. Warm, friendly service, the kitchen was quick to get dishes out, and the food was good quality. We had the Penne al Salmone ($23) which was solid, and the Ravioli Naturale ($22) which was good. Given the abundance of Italian options in the city I'd likely try another place before returning, but it's a good option if you're already in the area.

Quiet and friendly - with absolutely delicious 😋 food! We had the Pear and Gorgonzola salad and then Chicken Marsala and the Steelhead Salmon Trout. Amazing! The vegetables were perfectly cooked! We love good food. Great wine list by bottle and half bottle.

Service was excellent, very attentive & not overbearing. Food was ok/good. First time here based on Yelp reviews. Booked restaurant to celebrate husband's birthday thru Opentable and mentioned the occasion. Never received acknowlgement of his birthday mentioned on Opentable. Food: Calamari was fresh & lightly battered but needed a little more seasoning. I didn't understand the sprinkling of a few cubed tomatoes in this dish. Had lamb shank over risotto, good. He had spaghetti, was ok/good. Bread was not good, some kind of brown bread, texture was not good. Minestrone was good and tiramisu was good but have had better. Will give this place a second try.

Great service and very good food. Noise level is high so beware if you're looking for something more relaxed and quiet. Prices are extremely reasonable for the quality and quantity of food provided, making this place a great value if you're on a budget. There is no children's menu, but do you really need one? Pizza and pasta! We'll be back.

The servers at this place are tremendous. Attentive, helpful, pleasant. They love their place, their neighborhood, & their customers. Families & friends have dined here for decades & we were lucky to experience just a piece of it. Food is great. The whole experience is memorable!

I've been there many, many times not mention how many times I oredered online. Love their tortellini chicken soup a lot ( small friendly advice put some extra vegetables and chicken while making the broth). Portions are huge, and in some situations enough for two people. Pepperoni pizza is one of the best in the city in my opinion. They have all kind of pasta and other Italian food. That lady I believe she is the owner, huge respect for her. I would definitely recommend visiting this place.

This was such a sweet find. The staff were very nice and the place was buzzing on a Sunday evening which led me to believe this must be a go-to for the neighborhood. Very warm and inviting atmosphere. I nordered the pumpkin ravioli and really liked the pasta as well as the creamy sauce it came with. I think it went really well with the bread we were given. I will do my best to be back over this way.

5/5 Stars. My Lady and I LOVE coming to Spiazzo. The dipping sauce for the bread alone is incredible.. The waitstaff is also incredible. Most importantly the main courses are phenomenal. We always look forward to coming back!

I am so pleasantly surprised at how incredible the customer service is here as well as the delicious food. I ordered from door dash and my order was wrong. I called the restaurant and with no hesitation, they instantly corrected my order and had it redelivered within 15 minutes. My food was delicious, as always. This is how a restaurant should be run! It really is refreshing when you are on the positive end of a customer service interaction. Thank you Spiazzo, stay excellent!

A close friend recommended this place. It was okay. We had the ravioli and the portofino with scallops and giant prawns. We also got the bruschetta which was a little weird the way it was presented (check out the photo) The restaurant was empty at first but quickly filled up. Ended up talking to a retired priest at a nearby table who was there alone. He was very pleasant to converse with and goes there once a week.
