I was super surprised and impressed by this place. I heard good things but I was a bit taken aback to see that all of their signatures were chicken-based broth and their core had a big chicken leg in it, ordered it pretty hesitantly. Wow, it was fantastic. Noodles were perfect -- a tiny bit tough at first / on top, so they're still cooking/soaking and are the perfect texture once you get into the heart of it rather than being too soft later on. Broth was delicious and toppings were well-chosen. The chicken was what I was most hesitant about, and just like the noodles it was a bit of a challenge at first -- and then as soon as it's been in the broth for a couple minutes, the meat is practically falling off the bone. Compliments the flavors so well and is easy to eat. I emptied the bowl, broth and all, it was incredible. Staff were also super helpful and sweet and attentive without being overbearing. You order and everything through a QR code which I was a bit miffed about at first but it seems like it translates to great service from the time they save so I really can't complain. Really fantastic place, may well be my favorite ramen joint in SF.

Wow! I am a huge ramen fan and I have to say that their Signature Ramen, Soy Sauce Tori Paitan, is top 3 of all time. Don't make the same mistake I made by ordering anything else. If you're the type to order different items with friends/ significant other so you can try everything, this is NOT the place to do it. I did that my first time and I just ended up sulking around until my girlfriend was full so I can clean up her remaining Soy Sauce Tori Paitan ramen. Both indoor and outdoor sitting available. There can be a line to be seated, but the wait was never too bad. You order and pay for everything on your phone. The servers just bring you your order. If you are a ramen person, this is a MUST try. Again, do not order anything else but their Signature Ramen. Expect to pay $30-35 per person.

I had a great experience when dining here. I was greeted and brought to the table. There is a QR code on the table so that everyone can order on their own with their own credit cards or you can all order at once on your phone. If you are sensitive to spiciness, make sure you put the oil and chili on the side so you can control how spicy you want your meal. If you want to order an item for to-go, make sure you let someone know so that they don't accidentally plate it. They were so nice and attentive when water was low and when we accidentally dropped our chopsticks haha. Thank you for your great service Mojo Ramen team.

I was pleasantly surprised by this ramen restaurant because normally I like pork based broth and this restaurant has chicken based broth. In the signature ramen, the broth was flavorful and rich and the chicken meat was tender and juicy and huge too! Highly recommend! Add their house made spicy sauce for additional flavor. The chicken nanban is also a must get, I was so surprised at how juicy the fritters were and wanted to order another one for the table.

Food is great! Chicken is juicy and tender. Hard to tell if the broth is rich or just salty but tasted really good. Noodle itself is on point. Food is a 10/10. The place is a little chaotic and service can be improved but I think food is what most people come here for. Join waitlist ahead of time on Yelp.

Lovely ramen place overall!!! Another open kitchen concept where you can see the food in the works. I love the ordering system here, you view the menu/place your order and pay all through the QR code prompt. It was steadily busy when we went in but food came out hot and quickly for sure. The chefs decided our chicken thighs in the soy sauce ramen they had given us were too small so we were given an extra one each just in case which was super kind but definitely not needed!! The calamari was my favorite thing as usual.

The ramen was good but was it ~$20/bowl good? Nope. We did just come from Portugal where the food was amazing & super affordable so it was definitely sticker shock at paying that much for let’s face it, a chicken-based soup at the end of the day.

One star off cuz the portions were too small even for a tiny person like me. My bf and I finished the meal in 20 minutes. Appreciate the fast service tho and the option to just directly order and pay through QR code. Go early because they ran out of the main soy sauce ramen at 7 PM on a Sunday. Lines aren't too long. You can put yourself on the Yelp waitlist. I don't recommend the vege miso ramen because the broth is not as good. Inside is just corn, one piece of bokchoy, corn, some small pieces of meat. The soy sauce Paitan broth was good and rich. The meatballs were good as well to my bf who usually doesn't like meatballs.

My friend and I went there for the first time because he wanted to try out this ramen place. We waited for 5-10 minutes to get our table. Both indoor and outdoor sitting were available, we decided to sit inside because it was quite windy out there. The order process was simple, we just needed to scan the QR Code to order what we wanted. We ordered some appetizers, Edamame (soybeans flavored with salt), Yuzu Miso Cucumber, and Nojo fries. Edamame is one of my favorite appetizers in Japanese restaurants (must order). It was good in general. The cucumber was a bit salty. I really liked the Nojo fries because the fries and Japanese okonomiyaki sauce and red pepper powder mixed were very tasty, and I had them put the mayo on the side. I ordered the Tomato Paitan and my friend got the Soy Sauce Tori Paitan. I tried out both broths, I would say they were both a bit salty for me, but the noodles were pretty good. They served the food pretty quick. I guess I will go back to this place next time and will recommend it to people who like ramen.

This was our first visit to this cute ramen joint. It's pretty simple, you go on, scan the QR code and order through your mobile phone. They have chicken ramen and it is quite excellent. The chicken was marinated and fell off the bone easily. The broth was savory and light. Our food came out fast and the staff was super nice. You can also purchase a gacha coin for the machine and win some cute prizes. Yay for the Haribo Gummy clip.

Had the veggie ramen which was not very good, unfortunately. The ground soy meat gave the broth a weird gritty texture, making the dish almost akin to hamburger helper. Maybe the meat options are better, but for vegetarians or vegans, I would suggest going elsewhere. Way overpriced for what you get. Noodles were stuck together and there were few toppings.

A decent local ramen restaurant with no or low wait times. I wouldn't pick this place to have the vegetarian ramen, the ramen options with chicken looked better. The place surprisingly did not have any pork or beef ramen options on the menu. Pros: - For a ramen restaurant, the wait was short. - Friendly staff and the service was quick. Cons: - The vegetarian ramen was not good. The flavors were off. - The spice bomb add-on did not make the ramen spicy.

Very cute little spot for delicious ramen. They got something for everyone on the menu. I tried something a little spicy my friend got something akin to chicken noodle soup and they were both delicious creamy and filling. I'm glad I didn't miss their salads too because they're ginger dressing was out of this world. I would definitely go back for another visit to try some other options on the menu. I also love that they had some sidewalk dining available.

Great spot for a date night, casual dining, or even a quick stop to eat! Asked for seating of 2 and quickly was brought to the bar. QR codes are provided at tables for quick and easy service, whether your party chooses to order all together or individually. Noju Fries, was not too impressed with as it didn’t feel too unique. Tan-Tan Spicy Miso Paitan, ordered as is with no modifications. Creamy broth but the noodles were better! Feel like I have a high spice tolerance but those who don’t typically deal with spice would be fine ordering as is! No music played in restaurant but it’s not like I heard crickets! Being downtown, this spot had a lot of traffic in and out of the restaurant but doesn’t interfere with your conversations! Arrived at about 6pm during the week so was peak times for traffic on the streets and in the Due to location, I may recommend to take public transportation because it was so difficult to find parking! May be biased, but can’t say it’s my #1 in the city!

We arrived around 7pm on Monday, and there were still many tables open. We chose to sit outside since it looked really packed indoors and there were heating lamps outside. You can order at your table and pay as you order on the QR code link, which makes it easy for everyone to order their own meals if they wanted. As an appetizer, we ordered edamame, crispy wings, and the Nojo Fries. The nojo fries were so crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside- everyone loved them. The crispy wings were also delicious and juicy on the inside. For some reason, the edamame was deshelled and I didn’t prefer it that way. For mains, we ordered the Tan-Tan Spicy Miso, Tomato Ramen, and the Shio Ramen. All of them were amazing but I have to say that the Tan Tan was my favorite. It had so much flavor and the ground chicken was delicious. I’d certainly come back again.

We got the chicken paitan and the spicy music ramen with the calamari to start. The calamari was crispy and fresh. Really good batter and a perfect size for 2. We loved both of our ramen orders. For a Saturday night, we barely had to wait. Joined the wait list at around 7:45 pm and were seated at the bar almost immediately. You get to watch the kitchen while seated at the bar. Each table and bar seat had a QR code where you can order. Saw the kitchen immediately work on our food and we were served quickly. Ended up with a $55 bill plus tax and tip. Proper SF pricing, but it was worth it.

Ate here on 1.27.2023. Got the Nojo Fries, Soy Sauce Ramen, and Shio Ramen. The fries were very delicious - crispy and warm with sweet and slightly spicy sauces drizzled on top. Both ramen had rich and flavorful broth with delectable protein - chicken leg in the Soy Sauce Ramen and chicken meatballs in the Shio Ramen. It feels a bit too pricey but overall, I enjoyed it a lot.

We all had different dishes and they were amazing: I had the signature (chicken leg) dish, the other had the vegetarian dish, a spicy dish, all were great. Only thing that was a pity is that they don't have rice noodles so one of us with a gluten allergy had 3 starters instead of a dish - also very yummy, as well as the deserts. Very friendly staff, awesome place!

We were looking for a restaurant in the neighborhood. Neither of us had been here before and it looked interesting. So glad that we decided to come here. We sat outside and even though it was a typical foggy night it was quite toasty under the heating lamp. We both ordered the Shio (salt) ramen with chicken meatballs. It was not too salty. I love the creamy broth. The shishito peppers were massive! It does get busy but the tables turnover quickly.

Before visiting Nojo, I had only tried Ramen a couple of times and didn't love it. I ordered the Soy Sauce Chicken Ramen and it was SO good! (they were out of chicken leg pieces and offered chicken meatballs instead, which were great). The broth tasted so delicious (I added some of the "spice bomb" to the bomb - definitely get that on the side if you like your food spicy) and i would totally come back and order the exact same dish. The house Sake was very good as well and tasted a little bit of the fruit chickoo. Apart from that the service was quick, portions were large, indoor dining was comfortable.
