Conveniently located inside phono bar, Om Sabor is the best restaurant in the Bay Area. It happens to be vegan which allows an even wider swath of people to enjoy the food. The owners (from Mexico) take incredible pride in the food and ensuring that the meals taste like they are homestyle. I can’t say enough about how good the food is. The vibe inside is fabulous, they have outdoor and indoor seating (table and bar seating) with more mood-like atmosphere in the back room. The food is available as take out as well although if time allows, would recommend dining at the restaurant to take in the presentation of the food as well.

First time visiting San Francisco and this restaurant/bar has set high expectations for what I should expect from the SF food scene. I ordered the Loaded BBQ Mac n Cheese and was not disappointed. It was hot, savory and bursting with flavor. I recommended my dish to the lovely couple that sat next to me and they enjoyed it as well. I’m unsure how to go back to regular basic mac n cheese after tasting this cosmic vegan possibility. In addition to the food, the drinks are refreshing and the ambiance is a mood and a vibe. I’d love to give a special shout out to the bartender, Kasondra, for being accommodating and giving me recommendations on places to visit during my visit. I appreciate the kindness and hope you read this and smile. 5 star experience, highly recommend!

This is a must go to vegan restaurant. I’m not vegan and if I didn’t know that Om Sabor was vegan I wouldn’t have been able to tell. Om Sabors vibe is chic, layback, vibey. Great place to grab food with a friend or date night. Service was on par, staff was helpful and welcoming. But the food… oh boy—-Heaven! During my visiting I tried the kale salad, chicken wings, and bbq Mac and cheese. The kale salad was well dressed with the right about of vegan cheese, pepitas and sweet potatoes. Savory, nutty, umami, earthy, beautiful. The bbq mac and cheese was also good too, the quality is great of vegan cheese used here is impressive. I really can’t tell the difference lol. That said, the bbq mac & cheese was a little too much going on in my opinion but how do you know go overboard with a bbq mac and cheese. Only critique for me was the mac and cheese as I felt it wasn’t a cohesive dish. It was a bbq mac but also garnished and too with a Mexican food flavor profile (avocado, cilantro, onions). Lastly the chicken wing, my favorite outside the salad! The wings looked real and tasted real. I don’t know how they do it but the crisp of the wings and vegan ranch really set the bar for me and what vegan restaurants can do. Love love love Om Sabor, will definitely be coming back! (Thank you for feeding my soul and awakening me to another genre of food I’ve yet to fully explore! )

Popped in for taco Tuesday happy hour and this place did not disappoint! We ordered all the tacos and we enjoyed each one! Our favorites were the chicken chipotle lime and caribbean tacos. The prices on Tuesday are impossible to beat. The staff was also super friendly--one of the nicest dining experiences I've had in SF. Will definitely be back for brunch and dinner on another night to try the larger menu! New favorite vegan restaurant :)

Great new Vegan place in Hayes Valley. We mainly stuck to the share plates and didn’t get any entrees. The food is flavorful and creative. We enjoyed the Mac n cheese and the tacos on the menu. Definitely recommend if you are in Hayes valley and looking for a quick bite

Whoa! I’ve eaten Vegan in LA, Nashville, Philly, Colorado, Utah, Etc. And this place is maybe the best vegan food I’ve tried. I was so exhausted traveling for work and I cancelled my fancy reservations. Instead I ordered from Om Sabor. The kale salad and Om burger were both delicious. I bet the actual restaurant would have been even better. Omnivores will be fooled. Unbelievable how good this place was! I want to come back to SFO just to eat here. ❤️

The food was AMAZING, the staff was helpful and friendly, and the atmosphere was pleasant. I love that it’s a local business, the ingredients are seasonal and the menu is completely plant-based!! It was a bit tricky to find: *It is located in Phonobar* and has non-traditional hours so make sure to look up the days/hours open ahead of time :)

Om Sabor is described as a cosmic vegan restaurant alongside Market st and Grove St. In San Francisco. We ordered a couple of cocktails. One of them was a rum based drink named “ Trouble under a bridge” and another was a vodka based drink named Cosmic Red. Both of these drinks were really good especially the Trouble under the bridge one. It has a great balance between the alcohol content and the soreness from the citrus and freshness from ginger. We also ordered the crab cakes, flautas, empanadas and the tostadas. The crab cakes was jackfruit based and it was really crispy in the outside and soft in the inside. The aioli that accompanied it was really complimentary to it. It was tangy and rich. The flautas has vegan chorizo inside it and it was really tasty. The empanadas were a bit on the sweeter side. I would have preferred it a bit spicy. The tostadas has really fresh toppings. The cucumber pico with the habanero sauce was refreshing. On top of that there is live music which exemplifies the relaxing ambience. Overall it was a really enjoyable dining experience.

The standout dish that left me speechless was their Teriyaki Skewers. The Teriyaki Skewers at Om Sabor were a work of art, perfectly grilled and bursting with flavor. Each skewer was loaded with a delectable combination of tender vegetables and tofu, all generously glazed with a mouthwatering teriyaki sauce. The smoky char and the savory sweetness of the sauce created a harmonious symphony of taste. Om Sabor's commitment to vegan cuisine was evident in the quality of their ingredients and the creativity of their dishes. Had take out on GrubHub. The food was definitely good but would be better on site. We liked the truffle Mac and cheese, paella, and spanakopita best. Did not really like the ceviche. Truffle fries were soggy by time they arrived.

Loved this place. ❤️Hibiscus tacos were too good, must try. The caramelized onions were just perfect. Ask for the crema on the side if you prefer a creamy dip than the chili dip they give like me. 😀Mac and cheese was good too, won't disappoint but obviously nothing too fancy there except for the plant-based cheeses which were great. 😀Lavender mini Bundt cake was great, just how I expected it Ambience was a little too dim lit for me but might be great for people who are into that kinda vibe. But in conclusion I will go back to try some other items on the menu too.

An overall great experience at Om Sabor. Recently visited on a Tuesday night/taco Tuesday to celebrate a birthday. A very cool vibe/ambience throughout the entire place with some cool chill beats in the background. We had overall great service upon ordering a variety of dishes/appetizers – entrée – dessert. 100% plant-based/vegan food was amazing, with beautiful presentation, texture, flavor, and portions. We were fortunate enough to meet the chef, Chef Luis, very cool, down to earth, generous, humble, positive vibes, and made us feel right at home along with the staff.. Looking forward to returning soon for another great experience, and enjoy some live entertainment/DJs/more amazing food, and some cool vibes. The name -Om Sabor speaks for itself. Namaste 🙂🙏🏼🌱

Great vegan tacos on Taco Tuesday. We got the taco sampler and the ceviche tostadas. Everything here is vegan which is so great for a lactose intolerant person like me! I was excited to try their non-dairy cheese and crema.

The potato cheese gratin is such a smart dish. Flavours and textures compliment so well. This dish lives in my head rent free. I've tried almost everything on the menu, it's all really good. Good drinks and vibes too. This place does vegan food justice. If you're reading this, look no further.

Good vegan place. The place has a bar ambience and it's pretty dark -- a little dark that it's hard to see the food items sometimes! The candles on the table aren't really enough :) Hibiscus Flower Tacos were very good. Enjoyed the hot sauce that came with it. Good flavor on the sauce though it wasn't really spicy. The sauce's consistency was very good as well. Flatuas -- the best Flatuas I've ever tasted! Must try! Really wished the portions were more though. Fish N' Chips: Honestly, this one was a little disappointing. The Jackfruit filets weren't tasty at all, and it almost felt like they did it a few hours ago before serving the item. Fries were very average too.

Super tasty food, but honestly was really crowded and felt understaffed. Our waitress was nice but we didn’t realize or were told it was open seating and the staff inside were kind of dismissive. Heres my take on the food: Truffle mac and cheese actually felt like it was missing a lot of flavor, i personally wouldnt get it again Nachos- so so delicious. the mexican cheese and pico were so tasty Apple pie- Literally the BEST apple dessert ive ever had. Has a custard filling and smoked caramel on the apples was absolutely delicious.

Loved the vibe inside! Perfect for a first date or just to catchup with friends. The back area is also dimly lit and has a chill relaxing vibe. So many vegan and gluten free options! Personally really liked the hibiscus tacos, the potatoes cheese gratin were also good, same with the paella! loved how creative they are with the food options. Delicious drinks as well will be back for sure

This restaurant is a revelation. I’ve been to countless vegan restaurants in New York, SF, and other U.S. cities and this blows them all out of the water. Every dish we had was fantastic, but a few were absolute must haves: hibiscus tacos (please please get these), Mac and cheese balls (happy hour menu), and carnitas tacos (happy hour menu). The crab cakes were also delicious and unique. We ordered the impossible burger and the cheesecake for dessert as well. Great beers too! I will come back to this place as often as I am able.
