We had the dinner there after the show at SF symphony on 2/13/2022. The food was quite good. The blue cheese salad is awesome. You would love it. The the main dishes are good too. We had the outdoor seating. It’s nice, but would be a little cold and crowded in a cold weather and busy hour if you mind, FYI.

Chez Maman never fails us. This is one of our favorite spots for everyday French food that is both authentic and delicious. We have tried their sister restaurant Chez Maman East, I love it equally well. And the service is also excellent. Best of all it is very decently priced and won't break your wallet. We highly recommend it.

Amazing food, amazing service, and amazing atmosphere. The owner and staff really care about your experience and go above and beyond to make sure you have a good time. You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu, but make sure you get the escargot and the bread, and dip the bread in the garlic sauce that comes with the escargot. Everyone needs to taste that. Please give them your business especially during this time with COVID. You will for sure have an amazing time.

We can't say enough good things about Chez Maman West. We sat outside to enjoy a romantic dinner for our 25th anniversary. The waiter was very pleasant and attentive. The food was magnificent and just the right amount to make the dinner enjoyable. Kudos to the chef and staff. Highly recommended.

I walk frequently by this place and it is always busy, so I had yet to try it. Last Friday around 2pm I was showing the city to my parents and saw that the place had some clients but no waiting line. We took a look at the menu on the door and were quickly welcomed by the servers which invited us to stay. Since we had my dog with us we sat in the terrace over Gough street. The service was the best, prompt, attentive and very amicable. The food was delicious: we had the onion soup, grilled New York steak with fries and roasted chicken. We were happily full and satisfied but couldn’t resist desserts: crème brûlée and a scoop of rum and raisins ice cream. Both were delicious but bonus points to the crème brûlée. I would definitely look into going back, even if there’s a line! Ps.- Willy, our server was super kind. He even brought a bowl of water for my dog and made sure my parents had a very nice experience. Thanks Willy!

Food was superb. Service was exquisite. Atmosphere quaint and cute without being decadent or cheap. My mussels were outstanding but wife wasn’t too impressed with her duck. The French onion soup was sublime….but it could’ve had something to do with micro-dosing

The people are pleasant. The service is good. The food is missing flavor. They under salt everything . The Steak looked great. Yet, was bland with not much juice or flavor. I ate here three times. Testing different dishes. I am a foodie. I've eaten at many many S.F. restaurants . I guess my main takeaway was, under seasoned food.

Wow the escargots are the biggest ones I had so far. Highly recommend it. Delicious! Grilled salmon is cooked too much even I asked for medium rare. Not sure if it was because the server misunderstood my words or it is always overcooked. Service is super. They have only one restroom so you will have to wait if someone has occupied it.

I had a salmon burger served with fresh green salad. The ciabatta bread was excellent. Might have been better if I have gone for a beef burger. Mussels were creamy n delicious. I was tempted to drink up the entire bowl of cream but resisted.

The food was outstanding! I’m a vegetarian and ordered the fettuccine creamy mushroom, veggie panini and 3rd salad on the list. Everything was outstanding - specially the pasta for my cousin and panini and me! Thanks to my cousin, we ordered desert and it was mind blowing. I don’t have a sweet tooth and definitely not a fan of cinnamon but we got something to do with cinnamon (2nd on list). Highly recommend. Our total came up to $80 including tip. Great service!

Highly recommend organic salad + tuna, the tuna was one of the best I’ve had, fresh and tender. Interesting flavor to have bacon with mussels. The soup is very great for bread. The snails were okay but it might be a personal preference thing - it’s taste gears more towards grass and does not have the normal spice you’d expect for snails. Reasonably priced, in a lovely neighborhood.

Good service and good vibes. The sun was in our eyes but they tried their best to put up umbrellas to help us out. The food was good not great - we got the croque madame and chicken apple sausage omelette. I’ll try the pancakes and French onion soup next time - those seemed to be popular at the table.

Great food and service. Everything, from being seated to ordering to getting my food and getting the bill, was relatively fast and timely. But I went on a rainy day, and during non-peak hours. So, be mindful of that when you go. The entire menu looked really good. I went for the salmon on a bed of quinoa, and i really enjoyed it. The space is cute and feels more like a cafe than a quaint European bistro, so I wouldn't necessarily come here for an intimate date. But the spot has the potential to be a date spot with a little bit more investment in the ambience. I really loved how simple the menu is. It made the food seem more carefully and thoughtfully curated. Will definitely visit again.

Authentic French food for a good price. We shared the warm goat cheese salad and I had the mussels marinières and my friend had the Savoyard crepe. The salad was excellent, definitely recommend. The mussels themselves were some of the best I’ve had, very meaty and tasted very fresh. However the sauce was way too lemony, and needed more cream and wine to balance it. I would get a different kind of mussels next time. My friend’s crepe was very good, they did not skimp on the fillings. Overall would definitely recommend!

Hayes and Gough is such a hot bed for French cuisine. Chez Maman fits right into this busy intersection. Parking can be exceptionally difficult past 5PM, but there is a paring garage nearby, albeit it generally has a flat fee dependent on events. Two things I'd absolutely recommend is the escargot and the veal, two delicacies that I wish was more available in the East Bay. Veal was tender and the mushroom gravy was hearty. Escargot on Acme bread was just a great way to get your appetite going.

A must try in SF! Absolutely loved all the dishes here! Amazing variety in the menu. Staff was very friendly and the service was great! Our favorite dishes were the roasted chicken and the mushrooms crepe.

Popular spot for brunch and dinner on the weekend. Great outdoor seating, and service is really good. Food was good, but didn't seem as hot as it should've when it arrived at our table. Would come back for another meal.

This place was fantastic! The outdoor seating is plentiful. The food was delicious. We happen to go on a Saturday and they served brunch until 3. I highly recommend the warm goat cheese salad, tomato soup, and onion soup. The banana nutella crepe was the perfect end to the meal. FYI, there is only street parking.
