Location, Location.. and hands down.. of all the places I've stayed in Santiago de Cuba, the best service, the cleanest rooms and most importantly the most helpful staff that I now consider family! All the comforts of home while being able to enjoy the Santiago we all love. I still can't grasp how my hosts Jesus and Yaime managed to be so patient with me for almost 2 weeks, lol. I needed internet around the clock. Might I mention, they're an absolute joy to be around. No exaggeration. I also met the owner Raul during probably the most difficult time of my stay. He assured me the hostal would be there to assist me and I had no reason to worry. They helped me through cancelled flights, prolonged stay, transportation and helped problem solve any issue I had. Trust-worthy and sincere. English-only speakers need not shy away. Breakfast is the way you want it on a patio with beautiful orchids. Location is within a 7 min direct walk of the city center where all the fun is. Many fun shops along the way to the Parque Cespes including a library with antique novels and historical books of Cuba, art stores, awesome stop-in restaurants to enjoy a cold beer or meal with the family on sun-lit patios. Hostal Heredia really does offer more than I could have imagined, especially during my mid-COVID stay. Rest assured, you too will be incredibly pleased. ; )

No doubt is THE BEST OF THE BEST. Bartender on site, tropical breakfast and dinner with a lot of option, friendly staff, wifi… and even in the Cuba context RIGHT NOW they are the ONLY ONE there with backup generator when a power out.NEVER SLEEP WITHOUT AC. MY FAMILY AND I DEFINITELY QULL BE THERE NEXT YEAR!!! Thanks guys for everything!!!

We had the opportunity to stay at this beautiful Hostel almost a week ago now and we are still raving about how fantastic our stay was. The place was clean, warm and inviting and felt much like home. The staff was wonderful and became more like our family by the time we left. Easy to find and navigate from there to any sightseeing areas. The best place to stay in Santiago de Cuba.

No electricity whole night play we needed to pay 3 euros per juices in minibar without a sign. 40$ per room. Not recommend at all.

Extremely clean rooms. New building . Staff didn’t speak English. They don’t reply in emails. DO NOT trust their laundry. They have destroyed our clothes

Le meilleur emplacement pour rester à Santiago. Le confort, amabilité et les délicieux repas sont au rdv dans cet hostal au centre de la ville. Tous les attractions de là villes sont a distance de marche et le propriétaire et employés sont très accueillants et disponibles en tout le temps. Je le suggère fortement!!!

Nice looking hostal, kind enough to allow us to use the WiFi after we were unable to make contact with the place we had booked. Thank you for your help 👍🏽

Note that the hostel operates multiple buildings within 5300 feet, and we stayed in the one northwest of the hostel itself. The rooms there are nice, large and comfortable; breakfast is very good.
