Good value for a basic room without services. No breakfast service. Aged hotel but room and building were clean. The attached restaurant is closed. Parking lot surface is rough but well lighted.

Simply AVOID this place....lots of other options in the area Room was sort-of clean, but it WAS comfortable. Staff were much less than friendly. Room was also GROSSLY overpriced at $189 per night. They tried to put my room charge on my credit card at 4 a.m. the day BEFORE I checked in and of course the card company saw this as an unusual and suspicious transaction and flagged the card. When they called me and threatened to give away my room if I didn't pay by 4 p.m. that day we tried the card again (they neglected to tell me about the transaction at 4 a.m. that day nor that it had been declined. When it was declined for a second time the card was suspended and I received a fraud alert by email from the card issuer. I was literally 'warned' that if I didnt show up by 4 p.m. they would no longer hold my room. As luck had it after spending 3 hours trying to contact the card issuer to straighten this out, I did get there about 10 to 4. Upon explaining the reasoning behind why my card was declined, they simply said that "that's the way we are instructed to operated based upon the night auditor's instructions". No apology, no remorse....couldn't give a damn. And the same thing happened to a travelling associate at another Comfort Inn in Niagara Falls that night. I've travelled on pleasure and business extensively over the past 30 years and have never run across such a bunch of stooges running a hotel before. Simply stay away.

It was fine. Nothing spectacular but nothing horrible either. Only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because the bathroom is very dirty and outdated, and the hallway smells absolutely disgusting. The rooms themselves smelled fine though.

Direct travel book us in through a third party insurance company for medical reasons to stay here We got an accessible room which was supposed to have two queen beds and one Polo couch with a handicap accessible shower for Roll in access The entire building smells of cigarettes upon checking Stop seemed clueless and not really sure of simple questions like why is there no elevator in a handicap accessible building? What makes us a accessible building for handicaps when you don't even have accessible parking? It's at the back of the building in your front door is at the front of the building Check into the room. Go to look around. It's not a handicap accessible room at all. There's nowhere to even move a wheelchair Bathrooms disgusting has mold everywhere. Red mold all over the shower. However their shower was inside of a tub an extended tub Having leg issues I can't get in the tub. Their answer was. We'll get you a chair to jump in This is a damn joke. We checked out immediately and walked out Highly will not recommend this place for anybody. This is not safe for children

The rooms look like they have been recently upgraded. Everything was clean. The room had a slight smell from years past when people could smoke inside. Front desk lady was very nice and welcoming

Sarah was super helpful when I called about a LATE night check in. We had been on the road for hours and just needed a place to sleep and shower. Upon arrival she quickly got everything arranged and we were off to dreamland. Room was clean, bed comfy and amazing water pressure in the shower!

The king room in the second floor was very comfortable. Staff is nice. There is no breakfast, however there is coffee and water in the front desk. The building has two levels and there is not elevator. Parking lot is very big and free.

Great place for dog show people. One of the hassles is taking crates, clothes, dogs, etc. to your room. These are are ground level with door walls! Back right up to the room and be unloaded in 10-15 minutes. Aside from that, services are minimum and no restaurants nearby.

Hustle service it said on the website the rate is 129$ for a night of a room with king size bed ,when I get there I've been charged 159$ for a room with queen size bed , Got marked all over me and my girlfriend bodys from the bed bugs, The receptionist promised me that the manager will give me a REFUND in the morning, he was not there in the morning. the day shift recipients refused to give me his contact number, when I told her very politely, I will wait for him to arrive, to talk to him, she asked me to leave or she will call the cops, I paid 300$ security deposit which I didn't have it back to my account yet.Ive been in every single hotel in Niagara. That was my worst experience . I highly recommend to stay away from that (((Hotel)))

During the Civic holiday weekend, I stayed at Comfort Inn, St Catherine by paying through my credit card While checking in I had to pay $200 as a damage deposit, which was to be returned in 2 business days. More than two weeks later and number of phone calls I did not receive the amount. This is extremely unethical. I request the owner to look into this and settle my claim asap

Friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms. Ac worked great nice a cold! Great stay here!

  • 4/5 Andrew F. 1 year ago on Google
The accessible room could do better, the shower isn't very accessible. It would be nice if the door from the room to the parking lot was accessible too. The highway sounds are a bit loud. The desk service was very friendly and accommodating, though. And the hotel is well located to a lot of shopping, restaurants, and highway access.

  • 3/5 Roslie M. 1 year ago on Google
The staff were very friendly. Three things though, it's not near much and is a wet walk to anywhere, it doesn't have an elevator and the lighting in the room is very poor. LEDs come in all kinds of brightness so eco-friendly excuses don't work.

Attended an wedding in the area and needed a place to stay the night. The staff let me check in a couple hours early as the wedding started at 3pm, which was very nice of them. The room was fine, not the biggest rooms but considering all we needed was a room to get ready in and sleep in when we got back from the wedding, it was perfectly fine for our needs.

My partner and I had our basement flood and needed somewhere to go in the middle of the night. Through the help of Minnie, who is FANTASTIC, SUPER HELPFUL, KIND, and simply great at her job, we were accommodated along with our cats. It’s a rough time for us but we are thrilled with the service (Minnie especially) provided.

Just awful. Dirty rooms, dirty pool, empty beer cans all over the outdoor patio area. Awful smell in my room. Wifi was nearly unusable. Most of our groups had to reset their key cards daily. Was there with a travel hockey team otherwise would have left the moment I walked into the hotel. The staff was kind and pleasant but that didn’t make up for the unsettling feeling of grossness.

my family stayed here I did not pay but here is my experience. Everything at this place was just nasty the moment I walked in I wanted to leave. room was small and extremely overpriced the bathroom was dirty and there was a musty smell. And not mention there were BED BUGS and it was disgusting I can't believe that this happend I've never stayed somewhere like this and have never encountered bed bugs in a hotel I dont recememd this place please don't go.

We were unexpectedly in the area with our dog and were able to checkin without a reservation in a pet-friendly room. Staff were welcoming and I was pleased with the value for the room. Thanks!

Stayed last night for a wedding, travelled from Barrie - parents travelled from Newfoundland. Room was clean and tidy. Service was great. Only issue was with the air quality in the room, everyone woke up with stuffy sinus with how dry the room was. Wife had a nosebleed due to drives.

a large modern complex with bar and great seating in some of the rinks

  • 4/5 Alias M. 11 years ago on Google
The games at the arena are very good however the seats are wood benches and are very uncomfortable if you sit there on a scale of hours. However I was very warm during the game and overall it was worth my moneys worth.

The ice surface was smooth and fast. The whole experience was good

  • 5/5 Jeff J. 5 years ago on Google
This is a storied and venerable old "barn" - built in 1929 (or thereabouts) if I am not mistaken. Also known as the Jack Gatecliff Arena, named after the late legendary St. Catharines Standard Sports Director. This is the former home of the Niagara Ice Dogs, prior to the Meridian Centre being built, and it still hosts the St. Catharines Falcons games as far as I know. Now the main ice surface also hosts my son's CYO house league games, and the smaller attached ice surface was replaced with volleyball courts. I still sit in our old Ice Dogs season ticket seats when I watch my son's team play - it's like visiting an old friend. Let's face it, the building has seen better days, but you cannot find the old charm of this arena in any of the newer sites. The echoes of yesterdays heroes still ring out if you listen closely. Enjoy.

Was recently in it for school volleyball ... was run well and the courts were nice. Was a little cool in there, but the kids playing didn't seem to notice ... volleyball is a good option to use the one side for!

Freezing cold inside and Zamboni dumping ice and snow blocking off entrance way to Geneva St. Cars jammed up trying to get out ridiculous!

This is an older arena facility in the heart of St.Catherines. Parking is always at a premium during hockey tournaments. The arena in conveniently located off the 406. Do not expect much in the way of facilities so plan meals and snacks accordingly.

  • 4/5 Sandi M. 5 years ago on Google
Facility is old and tired but the sightlines from the stands were good and the temperature in the rink was comfortable.

  • 1/5 G C. 6 years ago on Google
Yet another example of a poorly operated Curry facility. Ice is always too soft and in poor condition, hot water in dressing room always runs out, things are broken and never fixed, parking is a joke.. but with arenas this is becoming a standard in Niagara. New facility or old, many of the same issues.

    Parking sucks

  • 4/5 Waxing S. 6 years ago on Google
The Jack Gatecliff Arena is decent for spectators, while Rex Stimers has barely any seating. Change rooms for players are often overcrowded with unnecessary family members. Definitely not wheelchair accessible or stroller friendly for spectators wanting to join family in the seats. Good arena for those just starting out or practicing.

Great community center with a large skate park, football field and an arena containing 4 ice surfaces, a mini rink, sports equipment shop and lounge/bar area. This is one of my favorite arenas Because of the area(Tim Hortons right next door) and all the opportunitys and activities that are close by.
