Amazing homefries, generous servings, great atmosphere!

This is an awesome place for breakfast and lunch! The food is divine, at an excellent value and the staff are absolutely lovely. Would highly recommend.

First time here, and it is a very cute and cozy atmosphere. Our food was made in an open kitchen which we loved! Our server was Taylor, and he was so attentive, friendly and always on the move! Everyone here seems like they love what they’re doing. Food was amazing. The prices are so reasonable too. 10/10 would recommend.

Friendly courteous staff, not a good breakfast place at all. Cheap prices, you get what you pay for. Definitely not high grade eggs, just frozen potatoes and greasy meat, great place just for coffee

I love this place for its $6.95 breakfast all-day special. Can you say all-day when you close at 2:00 PM? Anyway, it's a downtown institution unchanged in 50 years, still owned by the Greek couple that opened it in the 1970s. I wish they had a larger portion of home fries in the breakfast special because their home fries are excellent. Good coffee. Very pleasant staff.

Dropped in this afternoon for a simple takeout order of coffee and toast. Well the way the waiter took care of business you would think I was ordering the most expensive thing on the menu. He did a TREMENDOUS job. Left a good tip and let his manager know ... and or course she already knew. Amazing!

Classic style diner with the classic breakfast special. Clean, tidy, pleasant staff. The breakfast special with a coffee (free refills) comes to $10 with tax (quite reasonable these days) before gratuity. Nice size portions. I'm definitely becoming a new regular.

Wasn't expecting much here, we decided to "settle" for this place that I remember from back in the day. Was pleasantly surprised. The benedict was amazing. Perfectly poached eggs. I'm not big into homefries but they had coin cut the potatoes and lightly applied season salt and they were delicious! Service was great, so happy we went today..

I've been going here once a week for breakfast for almost a year. Service is amazing as is the food. This is the only Sunset I will go as I tried another for eggs benedict - the hollandaise actually separated. How they could have put that in front of a customer I will never know. You won't be disappointed at this Sunset.

We enjoyed our visit with friends and the food was good.. To use the washroom you have to go down some steep stairs which was difficult for one member of our group and the parking was expensive and if you don't go early, be prepared to walk some distance..

This restaurant is honestly by far the best restaurant I have been to in St Catherine’s. The staff are so friendly. The food is absolutely amazing. The prices are phenomenal. If you want great food at a decent price with phenomenal service and amazing staff, I would definitely recommend to coming here.

Went in today with my partner and we had their wonderful all day breakfast special, and it made our day! Great service, food came out quick and everything was cooked perfectly- potatoes nice and crispy, The bacon was so flavourful and smokey. Coffee was decent and of course the prices were wonderful! And everyone working was just so kind, our server was so attentive and great at his job (I believe it was Taylor but I sadly didn't get his name). These are the best vibes, so welcoming, just like how things used to be when people talked to eachother more. This will happily be our new spot for sure and can't wait to try more on the menu. Thanks again!

Great experience. Been meaning to try this place for the 8 years we have lived in the city. Our server Taylor was excellent, and extremely friendly. While dinning he helped an elderly man get into his nearby apartment as he was having trouble with his keys. The food was very good.. the prices were great! Less than any comparable breakfast restaurant in town. The inside was dated.. but very clean, and very enjoyable. Will definitely be back.

I was working the farmers market and had a issue with out kettle. I was desperate for boiling water, so I walked into the sunset restaurant durning the breakfast rush hoping that they could help me procure some. Without a second thought the lovely staff member (who was clearly busy with the packed house of patrons) filled my large thermos and even went the extra mile by giving the vessel a quick wipe down. I offered to pay for the service but was promptly denied. By the looks of the packed tables of happy family's, couples young and old, and groups of friends, I can assume this spot is a favorite for a lot of folks. We will be back soon for breakfast because of this wonderful experience. Thanks again.

I have been to many breakfast places all over the world. I have to say, this place makes my top 5 list! Its quiet and homey, the staff are friendly, and the food was great! They have a classic English breakfast menu, but all the other factors really bring this place up a notch! I highly recommend!

Stumbled across here while waiting for some automotive repairs. The service was excellent and fast. The food was cooked properly and well priced. Paid under $10 for breakfast and coffee.

Always good. Classic diner fare in a classic diner. It literally hasn't changed since the 70s and I'm 100% good with that. Friendly staff and prompt service are automatic. And I love that my kids love too! :)

We always eat our breakfast here. Too bad they are close on Sundays.

Their plates were quite filling! Very inexpensive for what you get. All the staff were just so nice and polite, they made us feel very welcomed.

I have come here for years but.... I wont be back. Food is good but they charge you to you their debit machine. So they are making money and you are paying for the rental of the debit machine. So bring cash! Also my mom has a severe allergy we asked to sub a small salad and would pay a bit extra for her side. We were told salad costs more than the side and all we can give you is eggs. They would not even allow us to pay extra for a substitute. Poor customer service and accommodation by the owner for people who enjoy coming here and you refuse to accommodate happy regulars.All we got was a shrug of the shoulders.

I love this gem of a restaurant! Hidden in plain sight so to speak.. The staff are amazing! Friendly, caring and always smiling! The food is always fresh, flavourful and lots to chose from. Officially my new favourite place for a bite! When in St Catharines come check this gem out, you won’t be disappointed.
