Great, unique food options. My wife and I split the smelt, which was like tiny fish and chips. I enjoyed the chicken and waffles, though the waffle was more a naan bread than a traditional waffle. Still, very tasty. Friendly staff, quick service. Make sure you get reservations, as the place fills up quickly after 6.

Very disappointing overall. Lobster Mac and Cheese clearly had no lobster, instead it was filled with imitation crab. I called over the waitress after looking thoroughly and finding not one piece. The waitress immediately got defensive claiming I didnโ€™t know what imitation crab looked like and that it was fresh lobster cut into chunks. As seen in the images there is no way anyone can claim that is crab. When I asked to speak to a manager and get this item taken off the bill as I was not going to keep arguing, the waitress claimed there was nothing she could do. No manager ever came over and nor was this item taken off our bill.

The food here was delicious! My boyfriend and I shared three different plates, the Chimi Steak Frites, Loaded Gnocchi Surprise, and Sticky Pork Belly Skewers. All were great!

Went there today for Birthday celebration with my sister and my children They were extremely friendly and promptly came over to get our drinks started Excellent deal on $5 Caesars She even asked which spice level we wanted The food was delicious hot and came out quickly Amazing lobster grilled cheese My sister had the zucchini boat and the crunchy brussel sprouts I tried the brussel sprouts and they are hands down the best I've ever had My son had the duck confit tacos and he loved them Everything was great They even brought out a dessert to celebrate the birthday festivities I would highly recommend giving the district a try If you are a foodie you will appreciate the attention to making this a gastronomic delight ! Can't wait to go back so I can try some of the other menu items Thanks for a wonderful experience!!

Me and my friend decided to try something different, heard a lot about tapas and we were intrigued. The food was overcooked and dry, tried 5 things from the menu. One was palatable the eggplant stack. The sticky short ribs with cornbread was dry with no flavor. I couldn't tell the cornbread was cornbread. Everything else was dusted heavily with Cajun powder and no real flavors came through. The wait staff didn't check in on us and the glasses and area was dirty. Very disappointing experience we end up going to another place for dessert and coffee.

Hidden gem in st Catharines. If you haven't been, I suggest checking it out. Very upbeat vibe . Servers are attentive. And the owner/chef comes out to check up as introduce himself. Place has an awesome Vibe. Drink menu is very wide with lots of options. My suggestion the passion fruit Margarita (sugar coat๐Ÿ‘Œ). Came back to try the food and it was exactly what expected. Chimichurri steak fries were amazing. And chimichurri steak entree was excellent. A must try.

Everything about this place is fantastic!! The service was top notch, the drink selection was fantastic and very reasonably priced, and the food was to die for. We couldnโ€™t make up our minds, so we told our server to surprise us, and it did not disappoint!! Every single tapa that we had was absolutely delicious. You can tell that the chef puts a lot of care into each and every dish. Will definitely go again, will definitely recommend!!

Great experience for food and drink with a downtown feel. Me and my girlfriend sat on the patio and had chicken and waffles, steak and fries, and the lobster and pepper dip. Both of our favorites were the lobster dip but we agreed everything was delicious. Will come back and highly recommend ๐Ÿ‘Œ

We were a group of 10 with reso in advance and it was a fantastic experience start to finish! Our table was ready and set beautifully, our server was lovely and attentive, and the tapas we all ordered were delicious!! We also had many glasses of wine, multiple Aperol spritz, and many margaritas! All were beautifully crafted no one was ever left sitting with an empty glass! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ A great night and fun atmosphere all around. We will be back!!!

The place is AMAZING. The food is out of this world, if you go and they have it, absolutely to try these Tapas: their Brussel Sprouts, their cauliflowers and also the two beef tacos. Drinks were also very cozy and good, very different place from usual and because of this recommended on a 10/10 scale. Service quick and sweet. It is a little pricy, but Worth it!!

Always a great atmosphere with excellent customer service. The tapas menu changes fairly regularly with new features that makes coming back very easy. The brunch is also top tier as well.

Don't let the appearance fool you. This is a must stop destination for foodies. This downtown St.Catharines location has excellent tapas such as fried chicken and pancakes, tostadas, salmon sticks and more. The quality and complexity of the items was a very pleasant surprise. The decor is very basic but the food and service more than make up for that. The cocktails were creative and excellent.

I loved this place: nice, tasty and has a good variety of breakfast and not only breakfast dishes. I took lobster rolls and they were great. Iโ€™ll definitely come back here).

Excellent!!!!! Went for the tulip festival in Niagara and stumbled upon this place by accident. So glad we went. Highly recommend having brunch with mimosas on their patio.

This tapas bar has some really interesting plates to share. We enjoyed everything. There are a few things that can be improved on. First, the restaurant looks a little run down and old. Secondly, the plates are good, but I noticed a few of our dishes tasted reheated. I know our server wanted to bring out all our dishes at once, so that could be why. We were 3 people sharing 5 tapas. Quality was good but could have been great. This was my 2nd visit, and it was my 1st visit that brought me back, and it didn't compare. I will give it another try though. My expectations were not met like the 1st time. Lastly, the server seemed a little confused on my request, and I don't think he relayed it to the kitchen, which should have been granted. All in all, I will return and give it another try. Considering we went on Mother's day and it was not busy at that time, we enjoyed it.

I really wanted to like this place. The food is quite tasty, but I feel like each plate has about 2-3 superfluous ingredients that aren't necessary. Some editing could really help them! Duck Bao buns were good. Bone marrow could have been a bit more rendered, but was quite tasty. Lobster & Crab rolls were also pretty tasty, but ate more as a vegetable sandwich and the seafood took a back seat. Server was pretty rude and diminished our experience unfortunately.

The music and the bottle of champagne to make mimosas were the highlight. The chicken and pancakes was very midโ€ฆ donโ€™t enjoy it to be very honest. The slaw they serve it with wasnโ€™t fresh (you could tell instantly). The lobster grilled cheese was ok, the fries being the best part. Overall everything was very mid-level in terms of flavor and quality. Nothing special. The service was good and so was rhetorical atmosphere. Canโ€™t say Iโ€™ll be backโ€ฆ.

Random drop in on our way back from an event in Niagara Falls, weโ€™re from Burlington. Just looking at the menu online sold me, creative and chef driven. This place did not disappoint. Had a promo going - 5 tapas for $50 and we went straight in. Baked nโ€™duja & bocconcini Sticky Korean pork ribs Duck confit tacos Chicken and pancakes Loaded gnocchi supreme All were phenomenal. Desserts were insanely good and we struggled to finish it all, but we did. Cocktails were really good as well. Great atmosphere, good music, overall incredible experience. Staff and owner were very accommodating and easy to chat with. Definitely coming back to try the rest of the menu! Well done to the whole team !!

We recently enjoyed a delicious dinner of tapas. I do recommend making reservations. We were seated upon arriving and had a couple cocktails ordered. They served them with very minimal wait time. I ordered the cafe negroni which was exceptional. I believe my wife had the lychee margarita. We ordered four tapas that night and all came out quickly and so delicious. We had the fried chicken and pancake, perfectly crispy juicy fried chicken on soft tasty pancake. Also ordered the loaded gnocchi, bone marrow canoe and the chimi steak frites. The frites were so crispy and the steak was juicy. Exceptional meal definitely returning.

We were looking for somewhere new to eat and happened to walk by this place. They serve tapas, not my favourite concept but the food was good. Small menu but I managed to find something interesting, The spicy chicken and pancakes is a fun spin on the American chicken & waffles. If you are looking for something new to try this is a good spot. Price was fair, food was good, service was good, No complaints.

Cute little place. Went with a friend for my birthday and had a few of the tapas. The mediterrian gnocchi was delicious. The salmon fingers were a bit over breaded, but I loved the dipping sauce it came with. We were seated by the window, and it was pretty chilly, but the waitress noticed and turned up the heat for us. The service was friendly. I would definitely come back when I'm in town again.

Delicious food..service was great...we weren't interrupted too much...but just enough to make sure we were taken care of. New waiter... but he did very well

We've been wanting to go here for a while but just never could make it. We saw Jeff Dunham at the Meridian centre so it was the perfect opportunity. Walking in the place as a little off beat - didn't make great first impressions but those were soon proved wrong. We decided to go with Taps and ordered 4 items to share between my wife and I and let me just say that none of them were disappointing. The smoked duck bao buns were very tasty with a lot going on. The chimi steak frites were really good just wished there was a little more steak and there wasn't as much chipotle in the aoli as we'd like. The baked chorizo ragu was excellent, if a little messy with the pita. The star of the meal was the crispy brussel sprouts - very delicious, nicely cooked with a great soy glaze. We had a bottle of the Badia Al Colle Chianti which was nicely fruity (went with everything we ate) and a good body. The services was very fast and we were never left waiting. Will definitely be going back again.

I will keep coming back to this place. It is quite authentic & can't be compared to any other restaurant. The waitresses are actually humans & know how to talk to other people (versus reciting the same script over and over again) and their chefs are amazingly creative and skilled! How does the food taste, you ask? Incredible! Little bites of heaven ๐Ÿ˜‡ Every time I come they have new items on the menu to discover. Another thing I love about it: a choice of local Niagara craft beers and wines on their menu. I can't get enough of this place ๐Ÿ˜ญ it went above & beyond my expectations.

This had to be some of the best tapas Iโ€™ve ever had. Ordered 7 different items and every single one was absolutely delicious. So tasty and tons of flavour definitely recommend to all friends and family! Thanks for amazing meal!

This was my first time ordering and I will definitely be a repeat customer. We ordered 7 different tapas items and they were all creative, well portioned, and most importantly absolutely delicious! I canโ€™t wait to return and dine in to try every single dish.

Our first time eating here, and I have to say I was more than impressed! The food is amazing!! The tapas menu has a vast variety to choose from and the pricing is great! My husband and I left, saying to each other, when do you want to go back?! We have been back a few times since, and does not disappoint. Highly recommend the food- the chef is the real deal!

We went here for a brunch date and it's so fun! Lots of interesting takes on ingredients and food pairings and every thing down to the mimosas are a mini experience! The baked eggs with chili are so savory and delicious and the lobster eggs benedict were so rich and cooked perfectly! Welcome to brunch heaven! ๐Ÿ˜‡

my friends and i went for lunch, and we had a great time. it was amazing food, good sized portions for tapas, easy to share. the service was great, attentive and friendly. the owner seems like a really nice guy, the servers had nothing but good things to say about him. awesome place, will definitely be back for more!

My husband and I went and it was hit or miss with the food. The drinks were awesome!! I got the strawberry rhubarb mule.. It's great! He tried a couple other drinks, they were good. We had a bunch of the tapas. Some were a total miss, but the sticky beef rib was amazing! And the lobster Mac and Cheese was good, lots of lobster! The service was a bit off, waited a very long time for our drinks, server was a bit rusty, maybe knocking off the covid slumber. We will be back for sure, it's worth a try!

I haven't even left the restaurant yet - I just couldn't wait to write a review! I am so impressed with this place! Wow everything was phenomenal and this is officially my new favourite restaurant. Not only the food was amazing, but the service, the music and the vibe was just perfect for my taste. The date night special on Tuesdays is the perfect amount of food and the price is just right! My husband and I highly recommend The District Tapas+Bar and we will be back to try many more things on their menu!
