I went here for food tonight with my husband and daughter. She ordered a chicken sandwich, ate over half of it and gave it to my husband. He opened it up to discover the inside was completely raw. I'm not talking slightly undercooked here, it was raw pink. I was appalled and showed it to an employee and asked for a manager. She said there wasn't one there. She didn't seem alarmed at all, she explained they don't check the meat to make sure it's cooked and offered to make a new one, which we obviously didn't take. I can't believe there is no fail safe to ensure the chicken is cooked, like a timer or something. We are carefully watching my daughter for signs of salmonella poisoning. If you're going to eat here, at least cut through the chicken to make sure it's actually cooked as they don't seem to take proper cooking procedures very seriously. I wish i had.

My daughter and I went to Dairy Queen on Geneva Street recently and to put it politely I’ll just say I won’t be going back. If I want to go to Dairy Queen I’ll go to the one on the corner of Merritt st and Oakdale Avenue. Sadly they don’t have burgers but they have a lot of other things on their menu, the food is good, the place seems clean and they’re great to their customers.

I was at Dairy Queen yesterday and had the best service with Gary the store manager.I had a complaint at first but then he Provided excellent customer service and fulfilled my order in a timely manner. Checked in with me to make sure everything was right, used coupon correctly and was outgoing and happy in the process. Gary if you’re reading this good job! I got better service from you then in some eat in restaurants! Tip well earned! Give this man a raise!!

Barely ever come here so please don't take my review as cannon. Happened to get cheeseburger and fries here an let me tell you that I was pleasantly surprised. As the DQ is mostly known as a ice cream joint the cheeseburger an fries were excellent and I will most definitely will try again.

Ordered a birthday cake a few days in advance. A relative went in to pick it up for me the day of the child’s birthday. I regret not going myself as I would have refused the order if I had. The ice cream appeared yellow and watery as if it had been in the freezer far too long. The cake was decorated differently from the online picture. It was supposed to have a border of blue and white rosettes. The employee or owner (not sure which) slapped on a few huge rosettes spaced far apart. The side of the cake was not properly done leaving chunks missing from the sides. The whole thing was sloppy. It looked like it had been thrown together in a rush, or as if someone was feeling too lazy to make it properly. The person picking it up noted that it looked different from the online picture but the employee tried to make excuses rather than apologize and offer a replacement, which is what they should have done on the spot. I ended up going to get a cake from the grocery store to replace this one. Extremely disappointing. I would not risk ordering from this location again.

Staff are nice, but service is very slow. We waited 45 min for our food, why? Because they FORGOT to make it. Then a staff member argued with us & said we weren't waiting that long even though the time was on our receipt. Will not be back. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Horrible slow and rude. One of the girls here is beyond ignorant. They think it’s funny to keep customers waiting. I believe it’s rude to speak in a different language throughout their shift with giggles and laughs as if they’re just there to have fun. The communication with some of the employees is so bad that some of them Challenge customers after the communication has been crystal clear. If you want your food delivered in time with no missing items and respectful service - AVOID this place at all costs. Friendly warning.

This restaurant is in a small strip mall with an Esso gas station. The major impression is they are very slow in preparing savoury food. I ordered a Girl Guides Chocolatey Mint Cookie Blizzard (small $5.99) and a Crispy Chicken Salad Bowl ($6.49) with ranch dressing. The Blizzard was as expected. The Salad Bowl was surprisingly delicious and the chicken was tender with a crispy breading. There were two staff members, a female handling the order-taking and the ice cream desserts, and a male handling the savoury foods. There were 2 customers ahead of me. The female gave me my Blizzard when she could (in a reasonable time) but the Salad Bowl took an extremely long time (15 mins?). When I entered there were no other customers behind me. By the time I received my Salad Bowl, there were 2 other customers inside who have ordered and 3 others waiting outside in the heat. Luckily there was good air conditioning inside keeping my Blizzard from melting. I wanted to take photos of both items at the same time. During pandemic times, the staff are wearing face masks and there are plexiglas at the staff area. Customers enter using the main door and exit to the outdoor seating area. Even though Ontario allowed indoor seating, they blocked of the indoor seating area. The outdoor seating area was large with 5-6 tables spaced at least 2 meters apart. Some  of the seating has tree shade for those hot sunny days. Not sure if there is free WiFi. It is wheelchair accessible. There are customer washrooms. There are a few parking spots since it is in a strip mall. Where do you take your 3 yr old grandson when he's been a good boy? Dairy Queen of course. We order 3 Blizzards (just a small one for him). Quality is consistent each time we go, service is friendly and that is all that a Papa can expect.

Good location. Everything is well made. Staff are friendly, maybe a little slow. But over all a decent dairy queen.

I don’t know how long its supposed to take to prepare 3 ice cream cones but even if this is the closest location to you, it’ll be quicker to jog to the location on Merritt St and get served there. Better off just going somewhere else. Would not recommend this location. Check your Blizzards for hair too… yum.

The ice cream is amazing, but service is VERY slow. It takes around 5 to 7 minutes to serve a single customer, so if there's even just 3 people in front of you, expect to wait 15 to 20 minutes. They also don't answer the phone because they seem understaffed and prioritize in person customers. It makes sense, of course, but I can imagine how frustrating it might be to try to call and never receive an answer

The ice cream was excellent although it is not cheap. The eating area was relatively small and completely filled when we were there in a prime time. A worthwhile experience

Friendly, fast service. Made a cake for my daughters, in colors of my choice. And her writing on the cake was amazing! Thanks!

It's your typical Dairy Queen but I never remember serving sizes being so large which was a nice surprise when it comes to Ice cream. Quick service, friendly, all around good experience.

This place is SO SLOW everytime i come hoping it’ll be better but still have to wait minimum of 20-25 mins. I went in for chicken fingers today and wait 35 mins. I talked to a couple skip drivers that was there because I had all night, and they were waiting 23mins. Poor people that ordered the food. I’ve seen several times them just jack up the skip time on the tablet because they’re too lazy to move any faster, heard them say that a couple times “meh it’s almost close time let’s Jack the time up maybe they’ll cancel the order or they can wait”. Such good customer service that is. Place needs a new manager or managers that actually care about the place. I’ve worked in fast food and this service is completely unacceptable period.

Horrible customer service. Was unable to place verbal order over phone. And then was also unable to order online the size I wanted. Tried to call again and was abruptly dismissed by the same person who directed me to online order. Was told to come in and they would write upon arrival. The cake was intended for a surprise. Small businesses supporting others. A simple request was left unfulfilled due to rudeness. I always joke about loving dairy queen. This has left a most certain horrible taste in my mouth.

Great price and filling for the price you pay. The bacon is superb. Great customer service. And the option to eat inside or out is nice.

  • 4/5 Cassandra B. 2 years ago on Google
The staff were nice, but they charged me more for the cake I ordered online than what the price was as stated online when I ordered. I think the writing on the cake could have been neater and more legible. Still tasted great though. And as I said, the staff were pleasant.

Showed up for a late night snack to a surprising line out the door. I have to give credit to how quickly everything moved along and the quality of the blizzard was perfect. Great location and great team. Keep up the good work!

  • 2/5 Lynda M. 1 year ago on Google
Ordered a med blizzard and at least half was just vanilla ice cream and not much topping. The ice cream is also very soft and is liquid pretty fast and its not hot outside. I've ordered a few times thinking it was just a new person or maybe just having issues but nope it's a constant.

This location has hard workers and to my surprise seemed to be fully staffed when I was there. Small interior. But there is outside seating as well. Bathrooms are shared with the gas station, but you get the key from DQ.

  • 3/5 Josh J. 1 year ago on Google
Ok in side and decent outdoor space. It takes them a VERY long time to get food here. Icecream you can get within 5 minutes but anything else be sure to expect a 15 minute or more wait.

Order a burger combo that comes with fries and I am told that they don't have fries today. I asked to substitute it with onion rings then and they tell me that they can't do that. I end up paying extra. A side from this their customer service is just horrible. Won't be returning to this Dairy Queen and I sure won't be recommending them to anyone.

The staff is friendly, the prices are fair and the food is always great. I've been coming to this place with my family for years and we're never disappointed. Recently celebrated my birthday with an ice cream cake and the staff wished me a happy birthday and everything ❤

I ordered a slushy. The cashere was alright, which is the only reason this isn't a 1 star. The "slushy" was almost all syrup. There was maybe a 5th of actual slushy. If you're going there for a slushy, instead go to the convenience store next door.

I recently went to another location and it was so bad that I actually wrote to head office. That inspired this review. I go here atleast twice a week. The staff are friendly but straight forward to keep orders clear and efficient. They make everything efficiently and you can consistently expect the same quality regardless of who is making your order.

They called the cops! The owner was constantly interrupting and was rude, abusive, and derogatory. After interrupting my partner multiple times trying to explain to him the difference between a heart cake and a heart pie, the owner then tried to show my partner how my partner was wrong by showing him cake pans. Upon raising my voice at the owner to stop interrupting us, he called the cops on me. I asked for the owner to repeat something he whispered, but he said that he can do whatever he wants and won't repeat himself to adults. His staff were a bit better; the female was helpful at trying to explain the situation; the DQ blizzard maker man kept interrupting like his boss though. The cops were amazing stating the owner does this frequently to customers.

I've been eating Dairy Queen for many years and I only like to eat soft serve. I have never had a problem with Dairy Queen soft serve in the past, but today the vanilla cone I was given was at two different consistencies. The top of the cone had ice cream that was super soft and when I got to the cone part, it was really hard and difficult to eat. It was not a good experience and I let the employees know. I probably won't eat here again and I'll go to another location.

We will never go there again. Very slow service. The chicken was tasteless, the fries must have been cooked in old oil. They did not mess up the pop! Very bad attitude at this outlet. My order had 3 1/2 strips, not 4 as advertised.

  • 1/5 Alan B. 1 year ago on Google
The banana split had no choices for chocolate ice cream bump(s). The bananas were hard (crunchy) which means they were not ripe. The vanilla ice cream taste like it was freezer-burned. It was not a good experience. I will not be returning there. Service was very slow, however, they were pleasant in their attitude, thereby, receiving the 1 star.

Don't order the frozen hot chocolate, it tasted like burnt chocolate with a side of floor cleaner.. I took one sip and threw it out.. plus I walked into a spider web while waiting in line to order.. the wife's blizzard was fine.

Best Dairy Queen I've visited in St. Catherines. The lady at the counter was very friendly and provided good service. I'll be happy to come and visit next time.

Twice in a row I've been to this location and had my blizzard made wrong. The first time I ordered a dirt pie blizzard + cookie dough + fudge and they didn't put any cookie dough after charging me for it, the second time they didn't put any gummy worms in it! The staff at counter have to hear my order repeated 3 times and still make it wrong.

Very nice experience, ice cream is was good Cleanness was also taken care of. I recommend all to visit at least one time. Apart from this cake designes was also unique. To be honest, the service time was also improved than before.
