This is maybe the best sushi I've eaten in all of Japan. Considering this is in the middle of mainland Japan, I was very impressed. The quality and freshness was fantastic. It is a little more pricey than you'll find along the coast but if you want good sushi in Takayama, I highly recommend this place. The staff spoke fair English and were most hospitable. A truly enjoyable experience.

Omg this is saiko!!! Every dish is presented delicately and the food is amazing. The server also teaches you how to eat each dish. Must try if you're in takayama. The crispy salmon sushi, snow crab and the fatty tuna 😍😍

Very good dishes. Seafood sashimi is super fresh! There is a person who can speak English very well. Ms.Keiko is very friendly and warm welcome to us 🥰

This is a beautifully decorated sushi shop. There is a counter and a few tables. The sushi was delicious! We ordered the Takayama omakase (chef’s choice) sushi. You will get local fish, a Hida beef sushi, as well as local picked vegetable sushi. The beef sushi was an experience! If you’re going during the pandemic, the restaurant also has many Covid safety measures in place (plexi glass, sanitization, masks, etc. ) There is an English menu and our server spoke a enough English.

We had the Takayama set–there was a good variety in the 12-piece set, including hida beef and a rare type of small shrimp. There was an English menu and English-speaking staff so ordering was no issue. Overall a good experience!
