    It was unexpected to discover here. It was raining, so I hurriedly entered to have dinner. Less is more!!! Simple but traditional and distinctive restaurant. I thought an old lady would be the owner of this restaurant and she impressed me as well. She served us very fast, kindly and attentively.

    The Miso Hida Beef Kaiseki is good, the homemade tofu in the dumpling shape is exceptionally good!

    This food was incredible, its taste and the delicate way of serving it. It’s perfect. I had the vegetable dish with the tofu and I loved every single bite. Also very friendly service.

    DO NOT EAT HERE! Save your time and money. The food was terrible! There are much better options around. Let my my loss be your gain, don’t waste a Takayama meal on this restaurant.

    We stumbled across this little place during the day, and decided to head back there for dinner. So glad we did. Great food, lovely service, and a menu that is relatively inexpensive but with variety. Like many eating places in Takayama, it closes at 8pm, last orders 7.45 pm, so head out early for dinner.
