Key fob constantly does not work. Very shady people working out there, making women feel uncomfortable. Very small parking lot that is often full with no spots available. (And bums behind the building and cars)… The owners do nothing to help their paying members. We have had issues with automatic billing every single month, resulting in no access to gym.Every time this happens, We have to call corporate and they verify there is no issue with our account, everything is up to date, and we should have access. They billed us two additional months after we told the owner to cancel one of our 2 memberships and now, to cancel our second membership, they say we need to send a “certified letter in the mail”. This has been a huge inconvenience and headache, all to go to a small, run down, crowded little gym. I highly recommend you look elsewhere when choosing your fitness facility in Tampa.

Outdated Equipment. Very Unsanitary. Dirty Water Fountains. Rude Staff. Not Diverse. Small Parking Lot. Stay away. Better Options Available near by. Marine Vet.

This gym has everything you need! We are in town for a couple days and we're very impressed with the variety of machines and equipment. When we walked in on the second day we witnessed one of the employees literally washing down the dumbbell rack! It was very clean and spotless! The staff there is excellent very friendly and personable.

Last time I was here was before Covid. The gym got better, so I moved it ip from 4 stars to 5 stars. Lots of cardio machines and enough free weights for the serious lifter. Owner greeted us and offered to show us around which was nice. I will definitely workout here as much as I can.

I am giving them 1 star off of customer service alone. The staff at this place didn’t answer the phone or return call from my voice mail to ask them 1 simple question about equipment in the gym for about 2-3 days. Then finally I decided okay let me call one last time maybe they were too busy SO I was able to reach them by phone that last try. Next, I told the man who answered that I was interested in the gym, got a free pass online and went physically to the gym just 1hour later!! Only for no one to answer the phone for me to let me inside the gym after calling multiple times while standing outside the gym door. For this reason alone I decided to pass on this place and go to another gym even though this location is convenient. That customer service is terrible and embarrassing for customers or potential customers such as myself. I can just imagine a day where my key fog doesn’t work. What would happen??? I’d be out of luck!!! Upon me arriving to the gym there was only 1 car outside but still no one could help me. Wow. No thanks 👎👎👎👎

I'm really disappointed with this gym at this location. I don't even know where to start The equipment definitely needs to be kept up with and they don't, even though they take money once a year to do so. The restrooms are not clean at all, especially the showers! Then to top it off, I can't even get in touch with anyone who works there! They NEVER answer the phone, nor do they call you back. I've been trying to cancel my membership for almost a month now. Definitely do NOT recommend. The only upside about this is tht it's 24hrs.

Ok… this is the closest gym to me since I moved down here and I’ve been coming here a few times a week for the last 6 months - your mirror has been broken forever - fix it! It looks very bad. The gym could also use a deep cleaning. Management needs to get on this.

This place is insanely expensive for what you get. They haven't made any updates to the facility or equipment in the years I have had a membership - broken machines every other day for weeks on end, dumbbells with pieces of metal hacked off and jagged, moldy bathrooms, chunks of the interior walls missing, there was a toilet seat just sitting on the bathroom floor for weeks before they repaired it. Frequently see roaches climbing the walls next to machines. It also takes days to have trash taken out or toilet paper/paper towels to be replaced. On top of that, the staff is impossible to reach by phone, email, I even left them a hand written note and they still didn't call me back.

Pretty disappointed with the lack of equipment and equipment care at this gym, considering the fact that it’s in a great area in Tampa. Leg press machine has been broken for who knows how long- the seat adjuster is broken. Secondly, they lack equipment for back workouts. I understand that each Anytime Fitness is privately owned, but I have been to much nicer ones in the Tampa Bay area such as the one off of McMullen Booth Rd, Bloomingdale Ave, and Bruce B Downs. I wish this location was up to par like the others.

I've been working out at this gym for just about 10 years now and I think it's just about time to replace all the exhaust fans in the shower areas. This would cut down on wait times and also save you a good amount in paper towels. Also it would address the black mold in the roof of the showers and paint costs every 6 months. The gym is in a great location and definitely one of the best around in size but the team needs to address the janitorial. The trash should also go out when it is removed from the gym floor and not sit in the can in the back with food as it starts to stink up the facility.

Awesome gym!! I have been a member here for years and it’s just a big clean nice gym that has everything you need to work out multiple times a week. A little backstory: the owner is extremely caring and went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed back after a billing fiasco where I was sent to collections for non-payment. I forgot to call and update the gym with my new card number once it expired and I incurred late fees and had recently gone through a medical issue where working out was far from a priority at the time and I just neglected to care. So really it was my fault and was mostly just embarrassed but when I came in he waived all the fees and reactivated my key fob. I can’t express how important it is to feel comfortable where you work out and I just hope this review helps someone.

Joe, the owner, did a great job getting us signed up and working out quickly. He was also very helpful and friendly. The gym utilizes the space very well and a lot of the equipment has multiple uses which is really cool. Would recommend checking it out

Love this gym! I disagree completely with all the negative reviews I just read! It is small but has everything you need and, especially in times like this pandemic, I feel very safe as it is clean and not a lot of people around you all the time. I’m easily able to use equipment without a wait. The owner Joe is a doll and his trainer Brad and assistant are just awesome people. I walk in and feel like it’s my own little gym and am always made to feel welcome. They just bought a bunch of new machines which I’m loving as well.

Just switched over 2 weeks ago.. isn’t bad. Not crowded at hours I go so I’m free to use the equipment I want when I want. Staff is friendly.. only downside is a lot of people don’t return or retail their weights

Its hard to find one of these anytime gyms closed but this one in the heart of Tampa. Blows my mind to see it closed up especially when they never have any staff on the daily. Forge and optimum both 24 hours and local are both open. Not available ANYTIME!!!

I didn't listen to them when they said two hours and no more, that's on me. They do a fine job, though the customer service isn't where it should be. If we're going to pay fifty a month, instead of any of the other affordable gyms, a bit of compassion or heart won't hurt.

Not here to comment on the staff or gym itself but I drove by today 01/07/2024 and there was a sign on the door stating the gym was permanently closed.

This gym continues to be well maintained, clean and safe. The staff is friendly and the owners are very involved. They make continued improvement to the facilities and the equipment. I highly recommend this gym

Worst costumer service worst gym. Very bad experience at all. There are so many others and way better clubs where you get treated with respect.

This place is trash. They scammed me into a 2 year contract and have been hitting my account for all kind of hidden fees . Even during covid when you couldn't go they still charged me. Called Corp they said they check into it for me and never contacted me back . This happen 3 times. Now I'm in collections for a $100 even after paying for 2 years Plus all there hidden fees. The owner Joe is a conman

So far so good. Great Location. There are individual showers and the place appeared clean. The brutha that helped me out... worked up a quick contract using the iPad. Got my Fob. Hassle Free.

This gym has everything I need and it's not at all busy in the evenings (when I go). I probably have to wait for one of the specific machines I use maybe once every few weeks. Also, the owner, Joe, is awesome. He really seems to care about his patrons. This isn't a fancy spa gym, and you won't find luxurious locker rooms or towel service, which is fine by me. You don't need that to workout. This gym is set up for people who just want to focus on the important aspects of fitness in a clean, well-lit, welcoming environment.

ALERT: Needs to be investigated. Had to take a shower, light fixtures on ceiling have been removed so you can see through them into the upper level where you can see light on in the background, panels that secure the ceiling fixture have been removed facing the shower but not the side facing the door and the shower curtains are a clear plastic film. Just so weird and creepy. You can practically hear Michael Jackson “Somebodys watching me” song play in the background. Please be safe here and skip the showers. All the bathrooms were gross and dilapidated but I was in the middle one which was where the light fixture deal was.

If you need a new gym or a new membership, this is the place. It has everything you need and the owner Joe is super helpful and down to Earth and Travis made signing up a breeze. I'm so thankful I found them and chose them as my gym!

I’m so happy I found this gym. It’s close enough that I can ride my bike there to start my cardio. The owner/trainer Joe is great! Him and the other trainers are very helpful and hands on. The gym is clean and there is a lot of equipment to choose from. It’s not overcrowded, I haven’t had to wait to use any equipment. I’m a little shy (mostly cause I don’t know what I’m doing lol) so the top floor is my favorite when I want some privacy during my workout. Definitely recommend this place!!

If you're a cardio bunny, then this is the gym for you, as they have treadmills GALORE! I prefer more free, heavy weights, in a functional setting...and this was NOT that kind of gym. Very odd layout

Love this gym! It's low key, not a fashion show. Owner Joe is cool. They don't let equipment sit around broken/half-broken. It's never overcrowded either. I don't have to stand in line to use a bench.

Joe and his staff are amazing! The gym is well taken care of and you can see members & staff constantly wiping down machines after use. I feel very safe and welcomed every time I go in. Thank you guys for taking such great care of your clients and members!

I've tried all the different types of gyms out there, globo gyms, boutique gyms, warehouse gyms, but what makes Anytime Fitness stand out is that not only can I get a great workout in, but the owner cares how you are doing. Joe is awesome and this gym really has everything you need! And when I was thinking about kicking it up a notch in the gym, I asked him if he could train me and it has been the best decision! I've learned so much from all our sessions and he's great about checking in with me and giving me the added support I need with my diet (especially since I'm in grad school) and really works with my schedule!

To start off the staff is great, they are always willing to help and always have a positive attitude. I feel comfortable in this gym and it feels homelike and welcoming instead of intimidating(something i needed since i didn’t felt comfortable working out in front of other people). Joe has been helping me reach my goals and he’s doing a great job. I recommend this place!

Quiet atmosphere where one can focus on their fitness goals. I recommend this gym over other commercial gyms, and I’ve been a member at a few in Tampa.

Biggest Anytime Fitness I have been to and I have been to about 7 different ones. Some equipment is worn. But they have everything you need plus a lot more. I like 👌

Been a member of anytime fitness for over 7 years. I travel the country and have been to over 100 locations. This gym, by FAR, is the most disgusting gym I have ever been to. The bathrooms are a health hazard. Black mold, broken ventilation fans hanging from the ceiling, toilet is not properly fastened to the floor, shower pressure goes in and out from cold to hot every 15 seconds. Doesn’t look like it’s been properly cleaned in over a year. This place needs to be inspected by the health department. It’s atrocious. Pure neglect and laziness.
