The hotel feels very much like a part of the Marriott family, which in this case isn't so great. There is nothing special about this hotel (it's very bland) but the location is very good and you can walk right on to the beach and is near many walkable neighborhoods. The breakfast food was middling compared to other similar hotels. There is no outdoor pool, which is disappointing. The view from our balcony was fabulous and the bathroom is well designed and the shower was great!!!

While it is really well located right next to the beach, everything else about this building feels old and dated. You can literally see the building structure cracking and paint peeling off from your bedroom. Overpriced for a 5 star that doesn't have proper modern amenities. Hotel needs a major overhaul.

My mother passed away a day before my wife and I were to check into the hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Unfortunately, the hotel management refused to refund my payment or offer a voucher for a future stay. I was forced to forfeit my entire payment and reservation because I had paid in advance. I will never stay at the Renaissance Tel Aviv and will look at all other options before booking a Bonvoy property again.

For the fact that this is a Marriott Hotel it was very disappointing. We were not nicely welcomed by the Hotel. The Restaurant looks like a school cafeteria and for the price it is totally not up to its standards. Even the staff at the restaurant is rude and unhelpful. We ordered a room for 3 people, when we arrived in our room there was only one bed, two towels, one small shampoo. When we called the reception, this was later on fixed but there were still not enough shampoo and so on. The shower was also broken. The staff also speaks no English and Hebrew. Overall, The staff is unhelpful and the hotel looks very old. Yet the view is still nice. Do not recommend.

Small, outdated rooms, soundproofing actually not existing. You hear the beach bar music until after midnight and if you are unlucky enough to get a room next to the elevators, you gonna hear them all night long. AC blows directly on the bed. Definitely not worth 400 dollars per night. On the plus side: Location, directly on the beach, nice view. And the breakfast was amazing.

My teenager son got lost in Tel Aviv at night this evening, and I told him to go to the Renaissance Hotel. My wife spoke to the staff, and they let him sit inside and gave him refreshments until my wife arrived to fetch him. The staff in the lobby and parking were fantastic!!! A MASSIVE thank you to all of you who helped put a frightened and anxious young teenager at ease......you all embrace the spirit of what Israel is about and makes it so special... I have tears in my eyes and will never forget your kindness!!! Lawrence

A great hotel just on the sea shore. The Yarkon street has a lot of hotels. This one is what I warmly recommend. Most of the building has been renovated. Regretfully, some features which are considered mandatory in hotels of all ranges in Israel, disappeared. There is no tube in the bathroom, and no fridge in the room. A great minus. Yet, the room is very clean, every appliance is working, four high speed elevators for your service. The food served in the lobby is very good and is priced as in an average Caffe shop. The staff serves you very hearty. There a SPA with an in-house swimming pool, (free), massage (not free), parking (also not free). The beach is adjacent to the hotel, no streets to cross.

If I say this is my best stay at any Bonvoy brand is an understatement!! It is an excellent Renaissance! It started with my initial contact with the hotel on Bonvoy app and the response was so prompt that caught me by surprise as usually it takes time to get a response. My request was taking care of immediately. The checking process was one of the most professional, welcoming, and friendly. The room was absolutely beautiful and very we organized. The view was spectacular. Every staff person I encountered was professional, friendly, and willing to help. The most important part of the highest rating I gave this location was taking care of an issue I had. The response from everyone I talked or emailed was not only professional but classy as well. This is my favorite stay at any Bonvoy brand and I will definitely stay again on my next visit to Tel Aviv. Thank you all for making my stay unforgettable!!!

I always say that small gestures are the ones that keep me coming back, I forgot my adapter for my CPAP and the front desk, let me use theirs for free. Service was great and breakfast delicious. Thank you!

The hotel GM and staff were very nice and accommodating during my stay. My travel was interrupted on the way to Tel Aviv so I arrived a day late. The staff received my request to adjust my reservation at the last minute and even adjusted my bill upon checkout to reflect the time I was not in the hotel. The hotel is always clean, safe, and convenient to everything I like visiting in the area. Would stay here again.

I had such high hopes for this hotel but was left feeling a little underwhelmed. Unfortunately my attempts to engage with the hotel prior to arrival via email went unanswered which didn’t set the best first impressions, but fortunately my arrival in the early hours of the morning was seamless. Security on the front door wasn’t too invasive and although English was a little broken from the night staff they still managed to explain the facilities and complete the process quickly. My room was on the 3rd floor and although all the rooms all promise a sea view and balcony, bare in mind some stretch this feature a little too much, as my view was over an adjacent hotel tower, with the sea only visible from the small balcony when looking the right way. The location of the hotel generally though is perfect, being steps from the beach and in the centre of the main the main strip. The room itself was spacious with carpet throughout, a separate armchair and a sizeable TV. The glass desk provided some good storage but fortunately there were electric sockets next to the large comfortable bed, which was great. Bottled water was provided daily and the whole room felt very clean. The bathroom was equally as spacious and clean, although only had a shower which on an extended stay was a shame. It was very large though and worked well with good power and heat and there was lots of space around the sink area. Plenty of toiletries and decent towels were a delight too. Breakfast was both a delight and sad affair. Amazingly it operates right through until 11am, which is brilliant if you’re on a more relaxing trip and enjoying late wakes. The staff are all super welcoming and can’t do enough to help once you’re seated. The dining area is large and whatever time I turned up there was never a problem finding a free table. The food selection though was always a bit of a let down - there was a very minimal hot selection, the bread choices weren’t restocked often enough and if you’re looking for more than salad or fruit you’re likely to be disappointed. While the room was adequate enough it was the rest of the hotel that particularly fell short of the five star category for me. Everywhere just felt a little unfinished or deserted. The building itself is looking seriously tired from the outside, but there was minimal service from any of the bar areas, a lack of seating outside, no atmosphere compared to the adjacent options and just a general feeling you were sat or staying somewhere partially closed. Also bear in mind that the door to the beach closes at 6pm, meaning a long walk round to the front of the hotel which again adds to the feeling that the hotel isn’t totally engaged with the local vibe, where everywhere is open until late. Overall the room was fine, the location brilliant, but generally it felt lacking of five star credibility. I’d consider on a return visit, but only if the price was seriously competitive.

Conveniently located hotel at Gordon Beach with amazing sunrise and sunset views, and generally good service. However, the hotel and facilities were a bit dated, the room was quite small, and the room rate was quite high. The breakfast spread was decent and the staff were friendly and attentive. I would recommend this hotel for a short stay, but not when you're on business for a week!

Nice hotel in great location with unbeatable facilities: indoor pool with spa, rooms with balcony, direct access to the beach. Very good service, amazing breakfast and shabbat dinner. One of most comfortable bed I ever tried. Special thanks to GM Meir and to all excellent staff for very high service level.

We had an excellent stay at the Renaissance Tel Aviv. The location is perfect for walking the beach at sunset every day, the room was comfortable, and the breakfast buffet was extensive and delicious.

The hotel is located in a beautiful place, right on the sea of Tel Aviv. The staff is great, and always happy to help. However, the hotel age is starting to show signs, and the rooms are a little outdated, small, and not free of problems. Me personally, I'll stay there again.

This hotel has seen better days especially in the common area. However, the room is nice with a modern and updated bathroom. This property also has a club room, providing food and drinks for Marriott members. As a kosher property, there is no meats at the Buffett, but the various fish is a good alternative.

Team is very friendly and helpful. Rooms have a very nice space, are new and clean with a nice balcony with view to the sea. Beach in front (literally) of the hotel is amazing and you're at up to 30 minutes walking from many points of interest in Tel Aviv. You can't go wrong picking Renaissance. Oh, and breakfast is also something you don't want to miss (for the view and for the food).

Excellent breakfast buffet. Rooms are clean and serviceable. Nice views of the Mediterranean. Prime location. Bar with minimal restaurant. Workout facilities and a family-friendly pool. Lots of families with lots of children.

The location is really the key with this place The people at the hotel were great and very accommodating the location is exceptional as I would say most places on the beach are This one happens to be directly adjacent to a beach gym and a few really cool restaurants and post beach scene with music... The rooms are definitely on the dated side I have a sense that they're probably doing some accommodation if you look at the building from the outside it looks as though it's got some construction going on.. The room was clean though and I would just say if you're looking for something newer and modern there may be better options though this one's access to the beach may make it unique as you are directly able to access the beach from there beach level floor..

I stayed at Renaissance Tel Aviv Hotel and found it to be comfortable but failed to live up to the reputation of other Renaissance and Marriott branded hotels. The hotel boasts an excellent location with stunning sea views that provided a beautiful backdrop for my stay. The room was comfortable, featuring all the amenities needed for my stay. Waking up to the breathtaking view of the Mediterranean Sea was undoubtedly one of the highlights of my time at the Renaissance Tel Aviv. However, I was disappointed to find that the executive lounge was closed on Saturday evening, even after sunset. As a guest who enjoys the perks of the executive lounge (Platinum Elite Status), this was a letdown during my stay. Additionally, I was surprised to learn that the pool closed at 5 pm, despite it being light outside until after 7:30 pm. It would have been nice to have the option to enjoy a refreshing swim later in the day. That being said, the hotel staff at the bar made a lasting positive impression. They were friendly, professional, and efficient, making my time spent at the bar a genuinely enjoyable experience. Their attentive service and welcoming demeanor were commendable and certainly added to the overall quality of my stay. Summary: with the limited facilities being offered by the Renaissance Tel Aviv Hotel, there are better hotels (also on the beach) for a much more reasonable price.

It was fine..Great location. DO NOT expect anything luxurious. Very basic..over priced like any other Israeli hotel. (You can not get taxis from there, for your life!! I waited an hour for a taxi, ended up taking the damn bus)

It actually could have been a perfect We were told that the hotel would have some construction but it won't bother the guests so you pay full price and you get a Horrifying experience Of workers standing on your porch as your daughter is sleeping and looking in OMG

Excellent to go to the beach ever morning, every evening, or just to stay looking at the Mediterranean from your balcony. I would like more TV channels in other than Hebrew, but that’s minor. Don’t worry about the we-do-fancy-chilling-out-all-day-long bar&terrace below your balcony, at 00:00 they will be KO (too much chill-out makes you sleep)

Executive lounge is closed which is understandable but, no compensation? Other hotels offer a menu item and a beverage for your room...room cleaning was erratic at best...towels not replaced, water not consistent, used Qtips taken out of the trash and place on a shelf in the bathroom? I am an embassador with Marriot and wasn't greeted or acknowledged as such. No room upgrade. Good help is hard to find right no I suppose. Went to the Sheraton just down the street....much better!!! My suite is clean, well hydrated and much more spacious.

Great location on the sea front , close to the restaurants located on the beach, has an indoor swimming pool, spa, workout area and a door to the beach. Parking is available but at a very short parking space. (On availability method) have fun 🙂

Decent rooms, breakfast is not that great versus other hotels in Israel. Lots of Americans here as expected.

Newly renovated. Still aged in dignity... Friendly staff, sometimes the forget to make up the room. But will do so after reminding... Very good breakfast buffet including freshly cooked meals (eggs, chachuka etcl

Enjoyed my stay. One above and beyond part was the breakfast. Offered daily, it has a huge selection of delicious hot & cold food, nice coffee machines, large bread and dessert selection. Only con was the fitness center, which had too small a selection of equipment and closing at 5p made it impractical to access when on a business trip.

  • 1/5 Ádám K. 1 year ago on Google
The hotel is absolutely not 5*, it should be 3*. The room was not clean, we got dirty towels. All the coffe machines went wrong so we couldn’t drink a coffe for breakfast. The price value ration is very bad.

  • 5/5 António V. 1 year ago on Google
Rooms are not the most modern ones you could find in other hotel chains, but they are comfortable and cleaned. Please note that even from the 15th floor (where I was), the traffic noise is still noticable from within the room. Distant sound, but still noticable. Location is amazing. Just by the beach and center of Tel Aviv. Vibrant, full of people, restaurants and bars all around. You can't go wrong on location. Gym opened late for normal hotel standards... Breakfast was good and staff was very nice and caring.

The hotel has been updated a lot and is a great business or vacation option at a lower price than the Sheraton or Hilton which are fancier. The staff are very helpful and has a great morning breakfast with wonderful staff.

  • 4/5 Danno 2 years ago on Google
Older outdated hotel with the absolute best location on the beach in Tel Aviv. It's one of the only hotels that lets you right out onto the beach without crossing the street.

Nice property right on the Mediterranean. The buffet restaurant has lots of good choices.

  • 5/5 David H. 1 year ago on Google
Very nice hotel in an amazing location. You walk out the front door and you are in the center of all the activity. Beach access is great and wonderfully run/ walk path right out front. The breakfast buffet was one OD the best I have had at a Marriott property.

My mother and her sister stayed in this hotel for a few nights. They payed top dollar to get a big room with sea view. Upon arrival they discovered the balcony door in their room is jamed and the balcony cannot be accessed. They notified reception and went for a walk. When they came back not only the door was not fixed, it was full of debris! The hotel moved them to a smaller room with a smaller bed with limited to no view. They let it be and went to the beach. As they returned they found their room to have a horrible smell of tar and fresh paint. The balcony was full of green liquid and to make matter worse, they had construction workers in their balcony!!! So basically they payed to have noise and construction workers looking at them while they change. The hotel refused to provide adequate solution and at the end dismissed them with a 10% discount. Be mindful that this hotel does not value its customers nor the service it provides to them!

Overall a good experience. The hotel it's in a great location and all the rooms have beautiful views . There is food and great activities in walking distance. My room was confy and cozy , shower amenities were good, also nespresso machine on the room. The breakfast it's very good and start at 6:30am

We visited a colleague, so I can't assess neither the rooms nor the service. But from what I saw, the place looks very much neglected. The paint is old and wearing out, not very clean, half of the lobby floor is very old and creaking. The furniture shows strong signs of wear. The windows are dirty But the view of the sea from the windows is excellent.
