An ancient legend states that anyone who stands on the bridge, grasps the relief of their astrological sign and gazes at the sea –will have his wish come true! Stationed on top of the rail of the famous wooden bridge connecting Peak Park with Kdumim Square are bronze statues of the twelve astrological signs. At the entrance to the bridge is a stone mosaic of the zodiac. The statues along the bridge were sculpted by Esther Shlomo and Freddy Fabian, and the mosaic was created by Varda Ghivoly, Ilan Gelber and Navot Gil, all residents of Old Jaffa.

The Legend says that who stands on the bridge, hold the relief of their astrological sign and gazes at the sea will have his wish come true. It's for free so everyone can try. The bridge connecting the park with kdumim square... Also you can see a stone mosaic of the zodiac at the entrance. Very recommend to come and enjoy of park, bridge, view and all old Jaffa.

Just a wooden bridge with metal depictions of 12 zodiac sign. Make your wish while touching your sign and wait for your wish to happen. ones wish is satisfied, by touching the individual's zodiac sign and looking at the sea (with a wish in their mind) while standing on the bridge. Apart from the belief, indeed it is a beautiful place to visit.

It’s a pretty cool bridge with a view of the sea. Has each sign and a story about how to get good luck. It’s above Jaffa and if hot maybe go early or late in the day.

You need to go to your zodiac sign on the Wishing Bridge, place your hand on you zodiac sign, look out to the sea and make a wish. I made my wish just waiting for it to come true.

I read the Instructions; Walked onto the Bridge and up to my Sign. Then, I Touched it as I was looking out towards the Sea and I made my Wish! What a Glorious and Blessed Moment that was. It was a Beautiful, Blue Sky Day, with just a Slight Mediterranean Sea Breeze in the Air. What a Serene Place to Visit! Recommended for All to See!! This is my 3rd Visit to Israel and I will keep visiting the Wishing Bridge.

Lovely quaint wooden bridge with beautifully cast metal depictions of all the 12 zodiac signs. It’s a tradition to make a wish whilst touching your sign. Views of St Peters’s church from bridge. Can be visited 24/7 - day & night.

It's a bridge. If anyone can prove it grants wishes I'll give it 5 stars.

Ancient belief says - ones wish is satisfied, by touching the individual's zodiac sign and looking at the sea (with a wish in their mind) while standing on the bridge. Apart from the belief, indeed it is a beautiful place to visit. It is hard to believe such a place exists close to the busy tel aviv.

The place itself is very nice, perfect view, but it is apparently recently constructed. The phrase “there is an old legend that…” on the sign nearby does not correspond with a new wooden bridge you see. Of course, it may ba a reconstruction of the old one…

I don't know whether it is true but loved the place, vibe and walk tour to old port Jaffa. Come and make a wish 😉

I suggest to visit it during the sunset. There’re almost no people and the view was amazing 😻 Don’t forget to find your sign and make a wish while watching on the sea

Wishing bridge Tel Aviv, the acient people believe "If anyone boarding Wishing Bridge, find your zodiac sign, make a wish and look at the sea. Your wish will come true" #telaviv #israel #wishingbridge #jaffa_port

Remarkable place in the old town

  • 5/5 Lawrence S. 5 years ago on Google
The wishing bridge is a nice surprise on a foot path through Jaffa Port! Theres a bit more romance in the evenings, but to look upon the sea, as the bridge prescribes, day time would be better.
