Assaf is a phenomenal tour guide. His knowledge of history, politics, geography, and religion are combined with excellent teaching and story-telling skills. He makes you excited about whatever location you are visiting. Moreover, Assaf is more eager to engage you than persuade you. He does not mind sharing his thoughts on certain matters, but only does so hoping to inform and to provoke excellent thought and conversation. Highest recommendations!

Assaf was a phenomenal tour guide. He is very knowledgeable about Israel's history and the current issues the country faces on all fronts and always gives an unbiased opinion. He is very friendly and answered all our questions throughout the trip. He was very accomodating and did his best to satisfy all our needs. I was surprised to learn he is #2 here on TripAdvisor. Passages tour group of 32, May 2018. Assaf was great! His wealth of knowledge, ability to relate it meaningfully, understandably, and thoroughly was very impressive. He kept the pace up so that our group of 32 was engaged in learning, enjoying, and experiencing history, places, people, and great food. He made the history come alive. He has a great love for people and for Israel. He made our tour a lifetime memory. Incomparable!

On a recent trip to Tel Aviv, we booked 2 private excursions through Boker Tours: an afternoon tour of Tel Aviv with Assaf himself, and a day tour of Bethlehem, Jerusalem, and the Dead Sea with one of his associates. Both tours were fantastic. We learned so much about local history, culture, religion, politics, and food. Assaf was so helpful and was able to customize the tours to fit our busy schedule. He was also able to accommodate our dietary requests on the food portion of the tour (we are both vegan), and we got to try so many local dishes that we'd never even heard of before. After the tour was over, Assaf provided us with a list suggestions for the rest of our trip that covered various restaurants, points of interest, and hidden secrets of Tel Aviv. We can't wait to come back and book more tours with Assaf.

Assaf is amazing! My family used his services to plan out a bar mitzvah trip back in 2022. Unbelievable. His professionalism was second to none but he was also very personally engaging. Had to have answered over 700 questions throughout our 10 day trip with such care, patience, and expertise. On top of his knowledge, he is really really witty and always kept our time on the bus interactive and memorable. If you don’t book Assaf, you might as well not go!

Assaf has exceeded our expectations as the best tour guide in Israel. He has remarkable knowledge of not just Israel but the world in general and knows the Bible inside and out. Though he is Jewish, he answered questions about both the Old and New Testament that my mom has been studying her whole life. Quite extraordinary! I have learned a ton from him. Assaf was punctual not just in returning emails but also in picking us up from our hotel each day. At the end of our trip, I felt as though I had a brother in Israel and a great friend. I highly recommend Assaf. He is full of knowledge and great company. If I had to do anything over again, it would only be to spend longer than our 4 days with Assaf. Assaf is a truly excellent guide! He guided myself and a group of young leaders all throughout Israel and did so with knowledge, humor, and authority. He can speak to almost any issue and greeted our questions with a listening ear and adept mind. He skillfully combined geopolitical aspects with historical sites, creating a robust experience for all. We were not an easy bunch to handle but when Assaf spoke, we paid attention as we did not want to miss any of his insightful commentary or persuasive anecdotes. I respect Assaf's honesty and the fairness in which he discusses geopolitical matters. He offers his own perspective, but is careful to note differing viewpoints. He treated each member of our group with respect and catered to each person's particular interests (not easy to do in a group of 30 yopro's who think they know everything!). 5/5 - FANTASTIC experience! Touring Israel with Assaf was the most eye-opening and genuine experience. Traveling with a group of approximately 39 people, I felt organized, informed, and supported at all times. Assaf went above and beyond to make certain that we were prepared for each site by explaining the cultural norms, attire, and any supplies we would need (ex. water bottle, sweater, sunglasses). Prior to arriving at a site, he took time to explain multiple perspectives of what made the site significant, not only historically but present day. Assaf is highly intelligent, thoughtful, and engaged; frequently checking in to see if we had any questions and contributing to the discussion. He is an excellent story teller. Really, there was never a dull moment. I can confidently say that I walked away from the trip a more informed, compassionate, and enriched person. I speak for our group when I say, thank you so very much Assaf! For keeping us safe, stretching our minds, and sharing the deep origins of Israel. We just finished a 10 day trip to Israel with Assaf as our tour guide for the whole trip and he was amazing! He was so engaging, fun, and knowledgeable and really was one of the highlights of the trip. Assaf guided our group of North American young professionals for two weeks all over Israel. I have been to Israel with tour guides before, but Assaf's tour was truly something special.
