Good luck to you if you expect to get an appointment of any kind on short-notice. Their booking system is the least accessible I've ever seen. It only opens up around the 15th of every month, and spaces fill up quickly. You can't book over 30 days in advance, either. I spent months trying to get an appointment to finally be able to address my chronic illness only to get a rushed 15 min visit that was dismissive and left me feeling unheard and confused.

Hey Google, there should be a 0-start option too. I'm writing about the whole Magenta Health, not their Midtown location specifically. For them, healthcare is a business (so far it is not too bad and uncommon), and their policy for maximizing profit is to cut expenses. The result is a system with minimal support, and a very high patient/doctor ratio. Just look for a telephone number on their website. I thought they did not have one, until they called me today from a private number. I missed their call, and called back. I was not able to find a way to talk to anyone. Everything ended to "visit our website". I have multiple examples to share, but the message is the same. You are not Magenta's priority

My experience was great. But this is the most impersonal, cold and distant clinic experience I've had. No human staff, just tablets with buttons to 'call a human'. Their online experience is just as impersonal, confusing and severely limited. Getting a booking here is like the lottery. Still..... Good service though, if and when it's possible.

I can appreciate that the Canadian health care system is at a breaking point right now so this clinic is trying to do their best under terrible circumstances. However, I don’t think they should accept new patients if they don’t have the space to accommodate them. I’ve been assigned a family doctor but I have been trying and failing to secure an appointment with a female doctor (per my preference) for about four months now. I now would like to withdraw as a patient with the clinic but cannot email them or contact them via their online portal as that’s reserved for current active patients only. They say to not call them so I’m not sure what option I have now.

There's no contact phone number. They do not return emails no matter how desperate the patient is. Highly unprofessional. No other doctor will attend to a patient already registered and that patient has zero access to services. If you need help you are out of luck. 2 MONTHS!!! for a serious issue and no response or any measure of concern.

Dr Moosa Jamal is great. He is our family's Family Doctor and goes above and beyond for us. I would give him more than 5 stars. The 4 star review is just because the clinic setup is different from traditional ones. You really have to get used to the booking system and the in person clinic with just tablets and screens and no person to talk to. I had to ask for a quick tour and help on how to book to understand the system. After that it's been smooth sailing, but if you're new then just be mentally prepared for a learning exercise when you start on how to go around the system. The doctors are great so it's worth it.

Been trying to book an appointment since January lol… I just gave up. Spent time filling out the paperwork just to never get an intake appointment. Nice going. Don’t bother if you want to become a patient here. You will LITERALLY never get an appointment

I am so pleased I switched over to Magenta Health. Although I've yet to enter the building because of covid, it's been great to easily book appointments online and I've been able to quickly see my doctor when I need to. But I'm most pleased with Dr. Johnny Wong. He's friendly, easy to talk to and seems very knowledgeable - I feel safe in his care, and like I can be honest and straightforward about the things I'm dealing with. Highly recommend Magenta Health, and Dr. Wong in particular, to anyone looking for a new GP.

It's taken over a week and onwards for a simple refill request, and I'm still without my medication. I've reached out in all possible ways just to receive automated responses that do not help. Their website never has any available time slots for appointments, even emergency appointments. Their clinics don't have a help desk just a centralized administration with a bunch of useless prompts. It started out as a good thing but now that I need care it's as though it doesn't even exist.

The use of technology at Magenta really shows how quick and easy seeing your family doctor can be! My former family doctor had us waiting 3 hours for a booked appointment and still rushed us out, so coming to Magenta was such a nice change in pace. The online check-in/screening was very quick and easy to follow. After waiting 1 minute in the waiting room, an automated voice calls your name to a patient room and even tells you what direction to walk (so cool lol). All the assistance and service from other workers (checking blood pressure, weight, height) were friendly! And Dr. Melissa Goldberg was so thorough and willing to listen. She told me every step of what she was doing, which made me feel super comfortable, and she seemed very genuine in her tone of voice. It was well worth the wait for a quality doctor and clinic. The intake with Dr. Goldberg went smoothly and she didn't disappoint in person either lol.

Can't say how much I love this clinic! The team is so so friendly, so efficient and have great time management, always on time! I love how you can visit the doctor via phone or virtual call. It makes my day a lot more manageable. Kudo's to my family doc- Parastoo Azizi Namini

Just changed my family doctor to dr. Parastoo Azizi and honestly she has gone above and beyond my expectations for what a family doctor can do and how they act. She is so kind and attentive. She makes sure to listen carefully and do everything she can to help. The nurses are also so kind and accommodating and do everything they can to make you feel comfortable and welcomed. The medical office itself is insanely clean and modern and you check in on a little iPad that then puts your name on a big TV screen and gives you an estimate wait time. I showed up 15 minutes before my appointment as requested and was seen within 5 minutes of my appointment start time. I look forward to continuing my care with Dr. Parastoo Azizi and Magenta Health.

What’s the purpose of having a family doctor when they (strongly) advise you to go to a walk-in clinic.

This review is specifically for my physicians replacement, Dr. Alyssa Cantarutti. Dr. Cantarutti is claiming to have called me early for a phone appointment and is further charging me for "missing" her call. I say "missing" because I was available 15 minutes before to 5 minutes after and during the whole booked slot and did not receive a single phone call or voicemail saying she called. I also dont have blocked or unknown calls restricted and have never missed my primary doctors calls from the same clinic. To make this charge even more ridiculous, I called and spoke to a receptionist at the office at 3:04 to ask to cancel since i couldnt wait any longer and they said she was running pretty behind and i wouldnt be charged for canceling it since I had waited the time frame. The clinic is now saying, they may call early as "stated in confirmation email". But get this, the confirmation email only says they may call late and to be available during the whole time frame and a little more, not less. Even if I wasn't available (which I was) it isn't in their policy that the physician may call before the booked time. Also to make it even worse, on the booking page you only confirm that you agree the physician may run late. I am now fighting with admin to get this charge removed and it does not seem like it will be easy.

It was worth all the time I waited for a video intake interview to be a new patient with Dr. Goldberg. She was very nice, easy to talk to and seemed to be a very caring doctor. Later, she followed up very quickly and professionally on a couple of matters. I was also impressed with the welcome letter I received from Dr. Goldberg. It seems like she really cares for her patients in many ways. I also like her philosophy how she works together with her patients to prevent illness, and other things like avoiding the use of antibiotics for colds. I haven’t been to the clinic yet, but my husband went there for his flu shot. He said the clinic was clean and very professional. There was almost no wait time.

I am very happy with my family doctor Dr. Jason Kwan. He is very patient and professional. He supports you every step of the way. Dr. Kwan always is willing to listen to you and make the time to find a solution for your health issues. He is the best ❤️ The only thing I would suggest for the clinic is to make the communication more efficient as the only method available are emails and it might take up to two to 48 hours to get a response. I think the phone lines should be also available for patients to get a quicker response for health urgencies. Thank you, Maria

Magenta Health is truly state of the art in terms of service. Everything is managed through their website and booking appointments is exceptionally easy. No need for calls at all or waiting for your turn. I’ve never had to wait for more than 15mins and that too in rare circumstances. Typically it takes me 5mins to see the doctor once I reach for my appointment. Even more than the clinic itself, Dr. Ruby Rai makes healthcare amazingly less scary. She listens to you, understands your concerns, doesn’t rush you. After some poor experiences with other doctors who barely gave me 5mins, meeting with Dr.Rai was relieving to say the least. I couldn’t recommend her as a family physician enough. Everyone deserves to have a doctor who cares about you and doesn’t invalidate your struggles.

I have been waiting for an intake appointment since January of this year. I have checked every month on the 15th at 9am as they recommend, with no luck in getting an appointment. Disappointed with how they operate.

While the first appointment takes time to book (at least 1 month of trying to snag a spot), the wait was well worth it. The booking system is efficient and allows me to book appointments easily and in a timely manner. Everything is done electronically, so I can keep track of my appointments and any documentation I may need. Basically, if you've ever had a hard time with medical office staff in the past (being inefficient, rude, and uncaring), look no further. They have been technologically enabled to be efficient and fair. Much of the interaction is automated, so if you're introverted or shy, you're very much in luck and can take control of your healthcare. During COVID-19, they have been proactive in the cleaning and hygiene of patients and staff. In fact, after having been to two locations, I can't say I ever came into contact with other patients. Office staff (possibly nurses or trainees? Not fully sure their title) greeted me quickly. While they were not waiting for me at the desk, it seems they have a way to monitor the entrance. They escorted me into an examination room almost immediately (after screening me for COVID-19). I hardly waited to be seen by a doctor. During the appointments, the doctors were friendly, professional, and inquisitive (pertaining to what brought me in). They were as thorough as they could be and were willing to test/investigate as necessary. I am grateful to have switched to this practice. I do look forward to a time where I can relax in their waiting room instead of waiting outside for my appointment (if I'm a bit early), but I understand and appreciate every precaution they take.

I have very good experience with this clinic. Dr Azizi Namini is my family doctor. She is very caring. Although their appointment system is a bit inconvenient, this is a good clinic overall.

The most convoluted instructions on how to access any service at this clinic. Be prepared to read essays to find answers to any question. Impossible to contact anyone or speak to a human. Impossible to book an appointment in a reasonable time. They will charge you for refill requests on your prescriptions unless you book an appointment with your doctor…even for prescriptions you’ve been on for years. I have no issues with the doctor that I saw - it’s the way this business is managed that is the problem.

They are NOT walk in clinic, they only take appointments and don't expect you can see the doctor tomorrow, it gonna takes you after 4 days or more. New clients don't waste your time to come here. They don't even let you Register

I was asked to book an initial intake appointment. I try to book one every day multiple times within the next 15 days, no matter what time I enter all slots are booked!! When does the booking happen then?! I have been sitting right in front of the screen till 12 am. Right at 12am, the booking slot open and showed "no slot is available". How can it be booked within 30 secs after opening if the slots are not already filled up manually by someone beforehand? This feels like a scam!

I came to the clinic with my three children and was treated like a robot. I took my time and registered myself and my children for an appointment and drove 45 minutes in traffic, and paid $8 in the park just to be told I had no appointment and they don't know why the system did not book me. My son was sick no empathy, no humanity. The staff here makes it feels like a mercenary. I was told they could book me for an after-hour clinic in a different location, or I must return on the 20th. So my son, who I took to the emergency on Sunday and who is still sick, would have to wait 7 years days before he could see his new family doctor. This environment is not welcoming. I have a great doctor, and I am sure she was unaware of this

They have "lost" or failed to send multiple referrals to specialists. My doctor cancels my appointments with little to no notice. When I saw a covering doctor for an urgent appointment he couldn't figure out how to send a referral so decided I didn't need one. I'm diabetic and have a foot wound. THAT IS URGENT AND REQUIRES MEDICAL ATTENTION. They have no respect for their patients. The admin staff is terrible. I work admin in a medical office, these people should be ashamed of themselves.

Dr. Rai was my family doctor until I moved away from the city and I had a great experience with her. She listened to all my concerns, was attentive and came prepared with solutions or followed up with more articles over email. I never had to remind the clinic for requisitions or referrals. Sometimes appointments get full and it's hard to get immediate appointments but I have used urgent appointments for an urgent issue.

Quite possibly the worst clinic I have ever experienced in my entire life. The I was matched with was completely inept and did not care about my actual concerns. Who suggests a hysterectomy for period pain on the FIRST meeting?!! In addition the office staff is rude, dismissive and completely unhelpful and refused to match me with someone who was a better (ie more competent) fit. You can never reply to their emails and their booking portal is a complete mess. This clinic should be shut down and I’m guessing the positive reviews aren’t from actual humans.
