Im
a
new
patient
at
CTC
but
am
very
familiar
with
opioid
treatment/management
&
how
these
programs
generally
operate
after
over
15
years
on
Methadone
maintenance
program
myself
&
also
Suboxone
prior
to
that.
I've
attended
several
different
treatment
clinics
of
this
type
in
different
areas
of
the
GTA
&
I
must
say
that
this
is
the
first
time
I've
experienced
the
type
of
care
offered
at
CTC
which
is
refreshing
&
leaves
me
feeling
hopeful
about
my
outlook
for
the
future,
even
with
15
years
of
staying
clean
on
methadone
I
still
never
felt
I
had
much
to
look
forward
to
in
terms
of
my
future
opportunities
due
to
the
bad
decisions
I
had
made
in
my
life
and
the
damage
I
had
caused
which
could
not
be
undone.
I
I
was
very
surprised
upon
my
first
visit
to
this
clinic
to
see
that
they
operate
in
a
whole
different
manner
than
your
traditional
opioid
treatment
clinic,
this
is
exactly
what
methadone
programs
in
this
country
have
been
missing
for
so
long
in
the
reason
why
so
many
users
and
addicts
fail
to
recover
or
end
up
using
methadone
or
other
opiate
treatment
medications
much
longer
than
treatment
is
intended
for.
This
clinic
offers
comprehensive
care
and
looks
at
your
health
in
addiction
from
a
holistic
point
of
view,
they
are
non-judgmental,
friendly,
in
the
atmosphere
is
welcoming
and
supportive,
they
also
offer
a
range
of
other
programming
and
therapies
either
free
of
cost
or
at
an
affordable
rate
making
it
possible
for
low-income
people
to
participate
if
they
choose
to.
They
also
address
and
look
into
the
issues
that
led
to
addiction
in
the
first
place
and
not
just
treat
the
addiction
itself
with
medication,
this
is
key
in
order
for
success
and
long-term
stability
to
even
be
possible.
Because
of
the
restrictions
from
several
of
the
previous
methadone
maintenance
programs
and
clinics
I
have
attended,
I
always
ended
up
failing
or
quitting
one
way
or
the
other,
never
because
I
didn't
want
to
continue
with
treatment
but
because
of
a
type
of
restriction,
limited
hours
or
availability,
the
ability
to
acquire
caries
in
the
time
involved
to
acquire
them,
and
several
other
related
reasons
that
led
to
failure
or
quickly
withdrawing
from
these
programs.
CTC
operates
in
a
whole
different
manner
that
is
a
lot
more
flexible
and
allows
for
you
to
continue
on
with
your
regular
priorities
and
responsibilities
in
your
personal
life
while
still
managing
your
treatment
related
to
opiate
addiction,
because
of
this
flexibility
and
variety
of
options
available,
it
is
made
it
possible
for
me
to
maintain
and
continue
treatment
long-term
without
worrying
about
interference
from
employment,
personal
responsibilities
or
any
other
commitments
that
have
overlap
with
my
treatment
plan
setting
me
up
for
failure.
If
You've
ready
to
take
the
next
step
forward
and
changing
the
rest
of
your
life,
this
clinic
is
a
great
choice
and
offers
you
the
best
chance
at
recovery
and
getting
your
life
back
on
track,
they
will
oversee
all
elements
and
aspects
of
your
health,
not
just
your
physical.
If
you're
anything
like
I
was,
you
will
assume
all
opiate
treatment
clinics
are
the
same
and
you
are
doomed
for
failure,
I
assure
you,
give
this
clinic
a
chance
and
you
will
see
that
The
future
in
life
you
always
wanted
is
still
possible
and
within
grasp!

addict
