Is it just now? I stayed with the cheapest plan for one night. The hotel upgraded my reservation from a single room to a twin room. The response of the hotel staff was superb. The room was large and very calm and quaint. Check-out time is 12:00 and I can relax. After checking out for business talks, I used the cafe lounge on the first floor. Partly during this time, I had to give my name and contact information to use the cafe. In a good way, I thought that this measure would lead to peace of mind after use. Also, I definitely use this hotel.

Hotel Metropolitan Tokyo Ikebukuro is an excellent choice for travelers seeking convenience and value. Its prime location in Ikebukuro makes it a perfect base for exploring Tokyo, with easy access to public transport and numerous attractions. The rooms offer comfort and functionality at a price that represents great value for money, catering to both leisure and business travelers. While the laundry service was average, it did not detract from the overall positive experience. The staff's courteous service further enhances the stay, making this hotel a recommendable option for anyone looking for a comfortable and affordable stay in the heart of Tokyo.

Stayed 3 days, moved out to a different hotel and wish I could have moved back! Very convenient. Metro is about half block away. Very nice after a long day out. Beds are very comfortable, the room and bathroom are normal North American sized and you can set your own temperature for the air conditioning. Lots of places to eat nearby.

An absolutely wonderful Hotel and all the staff and management are so friendly and efficient . The main train station is only a four minute walk to the facility. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Very nice hotel with a great location, easy access to the subway station and two department stores. The room is not very spacious but it's quiet. One area that can be improved is the coin operated laundry. There are several machines but they are quite busy. One machine we used is not draining water well, so after 2 hours the clothes are still damp.

We had a great stay at Hotel Metropolitan. It’s in a convenient area very close to Ikebukuro Station and nearby many shops, convenience stores and restaurants. The staff here are very professional and provide excellent service. Our room was clean and comfortable, for two people I would recommend getting a room with a queen bed as it’s more spacious than a double room. While the breakfast buffet was good, they serve the same items everyday so next time we might skip it and find breakfast elsewhere. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel!

I'm staying at the hotel right now and will stay for 4 more nights. Room size is not too small at Japan standard. Customer service is great and the staffs can communicate in English without problem. Location is great, with lots of restaurants and shops around. The hotel has some washing machines and they are not busy at night time. I'll take some photos at washing area and post later. I recommend this hotel and will really consider to stay here next time I visit Tokyo.

The staff, breakfast buffet, and bakery are all great! Staff are extremely helpful and attentive. This hotel was recommended to us because our daughter will be attending nearby Rikkyo University. It does not disappoint at all. It's proximity to the Ikebukuro station is also so convenient. My only slight issue is that the rooms are a little small. However, I've not stayed in Tokyo before so they may be standard-size for Tokyo hotels. We will stay here again.

Couldn’t borrow a vacumn cleaner for 5 seconds to vacuum pack my clothes. They put me on the line for 15 min and told me I can go buy a vacumn cleaner myself. FIRST HOTEL THAT DOESNT ALLOW ME TO BORROW A VACUUM CLEANER. I have been to cheaper hotels and 5 star hotels worldwide that doesn’t give me an issue with this simplest request. Please have some flexibility.

Great hotel at a great location. It is easily accessible via public transportation and from the airport. The only qualm was that the breakfast was too monotonous. We had stayed there for 4 nights, and the breakfast every day was the same every day. Hope they improve this in the future and offer better varieties.

Right next to ikebukuro train station. Their buffet restaurant Cross Dine are popular with the locals. Japanese restaurants Hanamusashi food are unique n exotic taste to try.

This hostel is one of the best I’ve stayed in, period! Bunks are comfy with lots of privacy, on the floors are all the amenities you need, cool location. But most of all, the staff are totally awesome.

This is my first trip to Japan and decided to stay at Ikebukuro. I am glad I chose this place because it is less crowded and the location is prime with shopping mall and subway station nearby. The service is great and the room is clean and modern. The toilet bath is small but accommodate. The toilet is bidet style and it's awesome. If you are a smoker, level 2 has a private room for smokers and you don't have to go outside to smoke. All in all, the service is great and the room is clean and modern. Best of all the hotel is located near subway and shopping mall. One of the best hotels around this area. PS: Do not stay in Shibuya area. Super crowded and extremely noisy at night. Not to mention drunk patrons roaming around.

Pleasant stay at Hotel Metropolitan Tokyo. Excellent location - 2-minute walk from Ikebukuro Station's West Exit, in a quiet and peaceful neighbourhood, plenty of restaurants nearby. The room was very clean and neat. Quick Wifi available. Staff at the reception could communicate well in English.

I personally won't come back again. Though, it is worth to note that the hotel is located in great and very convenient location, near Ikebukuro train station, with a variety of shops and restaurants. It also provides great amenities, and acceptable services. On the surface, it looks like this is truly a good value for money. However, in my case, I was assigned on 11th floor. At night, I could clearly hear a snoring sound of a person from a room next door. It seems that the property is very old (even though already renovated) and might have a problem with its structure. I could also clearly here all footsteps from the corridor, rumbling sounds of activities from nearby rooms. In early morning, you will be forced to awake because of frequent footsteps at the corridor, or people in the nearby rooms taking bath, (Not to mention occasional siren sound on streets), This is truly a nightmare for sensitive people. Personally, I was very uncomfortable and could not sleep at all. This seems to be an inherent problem with no Solution. The hotel already chose to build a thin wall with bad soundproofing. The product itself is a kind of defectious to the core. No matter how good any other things are, I won't choose this hotel again.

This hotel was quite nice because the rooms looked great and the breakfast had a great variety. The location was a great place because of the nearby IKEBUKURO station. The only downside of this hotel stay is that the breakfast buffet is expensive, but otherwise, this hotel is one of the best places to stay in.

Located right next to the Ikebukuro station and multiple 24/7 convenience stores & fast food outlets, it comes as no surprise that this is our go to hotel in Ikebukuro especially with late night travels. Room is plenty spacious, especially considering the bed and bathroom size (I'm just shy of 6 feet and fit well). When morning came, there's plenty to shop at Lumine shopping centre or if you're inclined to visit elsewhere, the JR line can take you there.

A good hotel up to international first-class standards. We had a nice comfortable room. It was a group tour booking, so can't comment on the price. The front desk staff were very helpful and professional. The only slight negative point was the large breakfast buffet, which was rather busy and the Western options were not very good. That was on Saturday. However, on Sunday breakfast moved to a smaller buffet which was much better.

I am very satisfied with the staff and was impressed by the level of services. My wife forgot her mobile phone on the airport limo-bus and she requested assistance with the bell captain (Nakatani), he patiently recorded all the information and the description of the phone. He went out his way and extra effort to call the limo-bus company to locate the phone. He was able to recover the phone the following afternoon and left us a message to make sure we were able to pickup the phone from the bus company. I will definitely book this hotel again next time traveling to Japan.

I visited in 2008 for 3 months. The hotel automatically upgraded my room to a much larger one. I got more complimentary drinks than I could handle. Had to give some of them away, haha. The location was perfect as the train station was directly across the street. So many restaurants and parks within walking distance.

Excellent staff and service! The hotels location was great for us because we have family in Saitama which made it easy to meet up. The hotel is across the street at Ikebukuro station so train lines are close and can get you any and everywhere very quickly. I highly recommend this hotel for the service and attention to detail. The rooms are a bit dated, but the beds were super comfortable. The views are fantastic!!

The service was great, I checked in and was with friends, and when they saw we were together, they upgraded me free of charge to same floor and it was much appreciated. Thank you. The rooms were a bit dated, but comfortable nevertheless, housecleaning tidied up perfectly. Location, all I can say is perfect. You are surrounded by train stations, and in the heart of Ikebukuro, which makes finding food, shopping, traveling, super easy. Highly recommended, and when I do go back, I will definitely stay here again.

Three establishment located at Ikebukuro is near by all the good restaurants and nightlife attractions. The very professional and highly communicable staff made the stay extremely easy for non Japanese speakers. We asked for a room with a double bed but we got two twin beds. We tried to ask the staff for a change but no room was available. The initial blame is with guided tour company but that was the only fault we found in our entire stay. More over, the facilities are convenient and highly maintained. Overall we had a great experience.

Our reservation was at 1:30 and we can only get food until 2:00 meaning we only have 30 mins to eat what we want. I think 4000円 is too much for a 30 minute buffet. The food was good but there wasn't that much selection. The staff were nice and attentive.

This hotel is a fantastic accommodation in terms of hospitality and warm welcome shown by the staff. The room is comfortably arranged by careful housekeeping specialists and maintenance experts. You can get a relaxing kick out of your stay! A fully satisfied hotel guest

The staff was very helpful, and although I had booked a standard room, I was offered an upgrade at the counter for a fee. It was an experience I had never had before, so I upgraded and got a room on the 24th floor. I was very satisfied with the room. Thank you very much:)

👍👍 One of my favourite sushi restaurants in Tokyo, simple and delicious. Small premises, catering for up to 9 diners, so usually a queue, a testament to the quality and value. Had the tuna set, unagi and crab gunkan, all delicious. Friendly smiling chefs and waitress.
