Booked for 2 nights, STAYED 2 MONTHS! I wish I could do more to repay them for their great hospitality, but what I feel that I can do is highly recommend their homestay. In the heart of downtown but at the bottom of a dead end street so it’s away from traffic noise, no dogs, no roosters. The family will give you privacy, but if you need anything just ask. They have a great breakfast menu to choose from. The omelette comes with toast and fresh fruit. My favorite. I went from a non AC room to a top balcony room with AC and a view, totally worth the extra couple $. Yes, there are bugs and geckos, that’s Bali. The rooms were clean, the shower was always hot and the WiFi worked. The WiFi wasn’t the fastest, welcome to Bali... but it was the best of any of the places I stayed and for that they got me to stay. I was able to build a website and an ecommerce site in my room. (Good for Ubud) Maybe I’m biased because I got so attached to this place, but there are so many wonderful reasons why I did. Enjoy your stay, keep Bali beautiful, use less plastic! 🙏🏼

Karma House was a very comfortable place to stay in, we stayed for five nights and felt like we were staying with the host/ hostess, children and grandparents. We worked remotely from the balcony room (best room in the house, make sure you ask for it) with 3 sided window view of jungle all around us. It’s super convenient to reach central Ubud from there without the noise and bustle. Generally clean and great free breakfast service. Only downside is that the doors and taps are wobbly and wifi is slow on the balcony. If renting motorbike, parking can sometimes be a bit challenging with the entrance fronting a steep slope.

I booked my stay through booking. I didn’t get to see it because the host cancelled the booking less than 24hrs before, when I was on the plane to Bali. She advised me to cancel and book another place because of the noise of construction next door. After two days of travelling I was exhausted and probably would have slept through and earthquake so I turned up at the property anyway. She was surprised and when I insisted on staying she said that I can’t because builders put materials in the room so there is no space. I booked first thing nearby I could find, which was hard because of end of Ramadan celebrations the village was packed, and spent 4 hrs on the phone with booking to get alternate accommodation. I certainly DO NOT recommend.

I will never came back again to this property. We book for 3 night+breakfast direct to the property. The family so nice when the first we came, but..... Day 1: breakfast need to ask before so they will make it. Day 2 & Day 3 no breakfast at all. We need to leave from property at least 8 am so not much tourist in tourist atraction, but no one of them appeared to ask for breakfast. Hot water for tea in the table never change in 3 days. Sewer in the bathroom clogged up. day of booked: August/Sept. 2019.

I came across Karma House on Google when looking for a place to get a cover up tattoo. After going on their website and reading what they are all about and stand for I knew straight away that this was where I wanted to get my cover up from. I filled in the Questionnaire and they soon got back in contact and I explained what I wanted done and what my budget was. I was booked in for the next day and I came in with a vague idea of what I wanted and explained it all to the tattooist in my consultation and he came up with this amazing design. I am so happy with the result and you cannot tell that I had an original tattoo where the new one is. Karma House has a great vibe and I felt very relaxed and chilled through out the whole experience and it helped me get through the pain of getting a tattoo done. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a tattoo with meaning when in Ubud. Thanks Guys x

My room was very nice and clean- I had the suite and it was very large. A/C worked good. Very good location in the center. Breakfast was nice. They provide a thermos of hot water at all times so you can make coffee/tea anytime. I would stay here again.

Super day in Ubud. The family is so friendly at the beginning you get some tea and fruit for free. Room and toilette realy clean and Price on booking only 8 Euro for 2 people the night. Location amazing

This was my favorite spot in Ubud. The team was such a pleasure to meet. I got a hand poke tattoo from Gerry and I gotta tell you it was an experience I will never forget. Amazing vegan food and one of the most chill spots you’ll fine. 100% will be coming back, yo! Cheers!

Quite good attentive staff. The hotel is based at the center of the district – lots of attractions and comfortable movement in all directions. Free little breakfasts as pleasant plus🥗🥪💖

Very nice n hospitable guesthouse in Ubud. Ibu Wayan is very nice. Always a pleasure. The room is so nice. Cozy. Spacious. Too bad the ac broke when we visited

Karma House has by far been my favourite tattoo experience. I was so well looked after by Sam & the staff. I adore the tattoo Camilla did for me & to know that some of the money goes to the Muntiguning foundation is the cherry on the cake! Highly recommend

Lovely place to stay, extremely quiet so not for solo travellers.

Except the location, almost nothing was good; the smell in the room down was not good al all. The service was not so nice. I think the smell in the room down there is not something you can sleep with
