After traveling around Switzerland and Italy for two weeks, this was the best meal we had throughout our trip. Each dish was masterfully crafted and a lovely size for sharing. The beef cheek was out of this world! Service was excellent, the owner was very kind, and we enjoyed their wine selection. Entirely recommend to anyone nearby. We wish we were staying longer so we could return.

The food was simply amazing. We went through the reviews and ordered the antichoke for starter, the duck ragu for first course, the beef cheeks for second course, and tiramisu for dessert. We had a the puglia vetrere passaturo wine. I loved the food and the experience, the server was very kind and explained details about the food and the wine. The ambience was great too, very cosy and romantic.

If only more establishments cared for their service and food like here. Get your reservation, this place is loved by many. Our server was Alex and he made us feel welcomed and well cared for during the evening. This was a refreshing change compared to most European service that my wife and I experienced during our vacation. The food was fresh, delicious and diverse in flavor. The experience was so phenomenal we reserved lunch table for the following day before we leave. Keep up the great work. If you love food and enjoy great service this place is a must.

Excellent find by my girlfriend and a hidden gem! Even though the restaurant was overbooked they still made place for us, and the waiter, Alex, was absolutely charming and great! But the food, oh my god, I kept remembering the scenes from the ratatouille movie when people ate great food and were totally lost in the flavors! Easily 5 stars!! 5 stars plus! Will definitely come back every time we pass by Venice. πŸ˜™πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Until now that's the best place we've found in Venice. Amazing food, even better service and the whole ambience of the place is just perfect. We had perfectly cooked squid and octopus and artichoke hearts for the starter. As a main we went with duck ragout, spinach ravioli and anchovies pasta. All dishes were very different but it's hard to choose the best one. Duck sauce with a hint of orange was perfect, spinach ravioli went great with a truffle sauce and the salty anchovies composed great with the sweetness of raisins. Our waiter was super nice, informative, told us a lot about the food and made great advice on what to order and how to pair the wine.

Incredible food, incredible wine, incredible ambiance, and incredible service. We got a last minute reservation and had an absolutely amazing meal. Then we find out the owner, Karin, had been serving us - he was so kind and humble, on top of making the most incredible food and giving us recommendations all over Venice. 1000/10 and could not recommend enough. We will return to Venice for this restaurant. Come here and you will not regret it!

I had been wanting to make reservations to try this restaurant during our trip to Venice - I completely forgot to do so. Fortunately we got there early enough that they were able to seat us at a great table by the front window. Dinner was delicious, service was great and we even got to strike up conversation with a young lady at the next table who was traveling alone. A wonderful evening in Venice at a great little spot.

some dishes were amazing, some dishes were rather dull. the fish, the ravioli & the artichoke were exceptional. on the other hand, the meat carpaccio & the bigoli pasta weren't as good. the staff was attentive, but they "joked" too much and ended up being very annoying & rude. as soon as we arrived at the place & they saw our covid passes they asked if we were narcos... at first we laughed it off, but this type of "jokes" went on & on. we weren't sure how we felt about this place, cause the food wasn't all great but some of it was very good. however at the end of the night the service and attention we received made us feel like this place is not worth visiting again or recommending.

Should be 50 stars! Venice restaurants typically have the same menu...cuttlefish, pizza, pasta...blah blah blah! This restaurant is chef inspired at the same prices but with more. Food: 2 of us had beef cheek which rocked. Super tender with a delicious, thick brown gravy that had a hint of red wine. Nice portions. Addictive. Wife had a ravioli in cream sauce and black truffle. It delivered a taste equal to the name. The appetizers were mussels which had a tomato sauce that you wanted to eat like a soup. Over 20 mussels left you satisfied. I felt this wine list was more diversified and delivered a delicious Brunello. The service equalled the food. Friendly, attentive, knowledgeable. Kareen was our server but is actually the owner as well. A 5 minute discussion with him will make you understand his passion to deliver great food and a memorable experience

An excellent restaurant with a good selection of fish dishes. Strongly impressed by the fish of the day, as well as magnificent pasta with duck stew and cheese. The wine list deserves special praise. Meals are just the right size to satisfy your hunger, but don't overeat

The real thing. If you read this, look no further, you found what you were looking for. Outstanding food, also sometimes in rather unusual combinations. The cook surely is a gifted artist. Never had a fish with seasoning that precisely on spot. Amazing to view, to smell and to taste - there isnβ€˜t much room to improve. Also the athmosphere is quite nice, and the waiters are outstandingly friendly. Would have visited again the next day, if it was open.

Out of this world delicious. Beautiful restaurant, beautifully plated, the quality is top notch, and the staff is charming and helpful with suggestions. And it's not too expensive. Must try, I highly recommend. Will be going back for the tiramisu alone.

Best meal my wife and I had in Venice!!! This is an authentic Italian restaurant nestled away in an alley away from tourists. The food is exceptional. We went her for dinner two times during our stay and both were fantastic. Highly recommend the ravioli with truffle sauce, beef cheek, cuttlefish in its black ink, and the duck ragΓΊ that was my favorite dish in all of Italy. The owner is super friendly and explains all the dishes. He also has 5 more restaurants throughout Venice.

People who say that Venice doesn’t have as good of food as Rome/Florence have not been here. Some our favorite dishes of the entire trip. The artichoke, duck ragu and beef cheek were all incredible. Highly recommend this sleek looking place.

We were greeted with a warm welcome by the owner. He suggested several dishes as well as a bottle of wine that complimented all the meals well. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and as I looked around all the other patrons seemed to be happy and enjoying their meals. The owner was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Needless to say I recommend dining here. But first, make a reservation, because several people were turned away during the course of our meal.

Beautiful decor, excellent friendly service at perfect pace. Food was exceptional from the antipasti to dessert. Price was very reasonable for the quality. What more can I say? I’ll bet it will be very difficult to find a better place in Venice.

Incredible experience, both food and service-wise. We ordered the artichoke heart with goat cheese, ravioli, paccheri, beef cheeks and side of grilled vegetables. Everything was delightful, flavourful and perfectly seasoned. Highly recommend ALL those dishes. The tiramisu we had for dessert is easily the best I’ve ever had in my life. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. You can sense their passion / joy in the great food being served. Best to make your reservation in advance!

Very cute restaurant, top notch food, but what stood out most was the service. Our server Alex was full of spirit and livened up the entire floor. We felt very welcomed and at ease as tourists dining at the restaurant.

Lovely typical Venetian food in an intimate and relaxed atmosphere. The staff were all extremely friendly and courteous. Quality food at a fair price with a lovely ambiance - perfect for an evening out.

Food was amazing! My partner and I had the ravioli and seabass and it was delicious. The flavour was just so unique and different. Best meal in Italy in our 1 week here! The dessert was top notch, we had the passion fruit mousse and it was the right balance of sweet and sour! Highly recommend!!

Highly recommend this restaurant to everyone who is looking for something extraordinary yet authentic! The food is great and with good price, it’s really a total surprise! Have been to Venice many times and dined in at least 15 different restaurants and I can say Osottoosopra is one of the best restaurants in town.

We had such a wonderful last dinner in Venice here. The waiters were very polite, friendly and spoke perfectly English. The food was beyond what words can describe. Mind blowing delicious. I full heartedly recommend this place.

This is, in my opinion, the best restaurant in Venice. I've been there with my girlfriend and we were astonished by the quality and the tastiness of what we ordered. They have a selected MenΓΉ but this grants the refinement of what they propose to their customers. The staff was very friendly, helpful and highly qualified. They helped us in the choice of a wine to match of what we ate hitting the spot. Every time I will return to Venice I will also surely return here.

Very good food in cosy atmosphere. For us one of the best service in Venice. Friendly staff. We received a good wine recommendation for our dish. Reservation is a must for this place. But worth it.

Had a really wonderful dinner here. Authentic and hearty fare for a reasonable price β€” seafood pasta was really good and my partner enjoyed the bigoli (though even the waiter warned that it was quite salty because of the anchovies, so I'd say it's not for everyone 😜). Tiramisu was okay. Staff were really friendly and joked with us too. Recommend!

Best place we ate in Venice. Everything was delicious, perfect amount to eat and did not feel heavy in the stomach. I would suggest reservations (we just did it online the morning of). They turned many people away during dinner time. It is a small place with not too much seating. We got the artichoke heart with goat cheese, truffle ravioli, beef cheeks with mashed potatoes and tiramisu souffle. Everything presented well and felt good to eat. Artichoke heart and beef cheeks were my favorite, if I had to choose.

Awesome food! Service and atmosphere are so great. We had Venetian style octopus, beef cheek and fish (sea bass). Of course add a cup of tiramisu as a happy ending.
