Seriously one of the best dining experiences we've ever had. We booked a table on their website and everything went smoothly. The staff is super kind. No exception. Each and everyone we talked to is really kind, welcoming and had a good humor. This place feels energetic because of them. The chef's work is superb. I think the pictures speak for themselves. Not just visually looking good but also taste exceptional. The brie, pistachio and guanciale tagliatelle is to die for! The lobster was also perfection. And the home made tiramisu is just what you need after these delicious meals. Be sure to arrive early because the terrace seats get filled fast and the view and experience of dining outside is unbeatable. Thank you guys for everything! This is a wonderful restaurant with some awesome people and we can't wait to dine here again!

The food here is mediocre at best. We ordered a starter to share, the risotto, cuttlefish with polenta and a platter of mixed seafood in a foil. The sardines starter was poor in taste and quite unappetizing which is ironic for something that is meant to be an appetizer. The scampi risotto was okay; nothing special, edible and tastes just fine. The cuttlefish and polenta actually was quite tasty and this adds one star to my rating while the other star is for the setting and the service. The mixed seafood in a foil was normal; nothing special either. Very simple with very little thought. The mixed grilled vegetables side was so tasteless we sent it back. A very bad experience in my opinion and I wish I read a review like this before to look for somewhere else to eat. We have been around Italy for around 10 days now and this restaurant was by far the worst. We had a lot of amazing experiences in Florence and Cinque Terre with both meats and fish. The fish in this place was definitely not fresh and the recipes were tasteless.

Really lovely spot beside a quiet canal with delicious food. Everything we had was so tasty! Great portion of cold cuts for starter, and the pasta was the best we had on our trip to Venice. The service we experienced was great too. Would recommend booking for the evenings as it seemed very popular!

A quaint spot with a charm to it. A lovely Venetian restaurant with pasta, meat and seafood sharing plates. The duck ragu and pasta with beef were very good. All in all a lovely restaurant and definitely worth visiting

Sat by the canal with my boyfriend. Street performer was great with the accordion. We ordered their house white wine, trofie with sausage & truffle cream, and the Fanal del Codega specialty. Everything was super tasty! The waiters were also very kind. We ended our meal with some espresso. Definitely recommend!

Lovely cosy restaurant in a nice setting by the canal with good service; food was very flavourful and portions more than adequate, beautifully presented. A bit higher priced but was worth it. All the dishes we had were great - salmon tartare, scallops with fried leeks, spaghetti allo scoglio, beef fillet steak and roasted whole sea bass. Had no room left for dessert!

Appetizer: Bruschetta was no special. Main course: Their speciality of the black spaghetti with squid ink and tomato sauce was good. Fried seafood and and vegetables was good. I liked the fried thin veggies. Service: food took so long to be served, around 45 mn. The longest waiting time among all the restaurants we tried. Seating: we reserved online and it's written that you can't guarantee the outside tables. When we arrived, there were tables outside with the reserved sign but we were seated inside on a table with no reservation sign. Made me doubt how they allocated the tables. Hence the 3 stars.

I'm so glad I saw this restaurant in a TripAdvisor list and spontaneously got a reservation. We tried their specialty pasta, a mushroom pasta, steak tartar and tiramisu and everything was FANTASTIC. the service was friendly and efficient and the ambience pleasant. Highly recommended!

Enjoyed a lovely lunch here - out of the tourist areas, on a lovely quiet canal. Our pastas and wines were delicious and fairly priced. The service was excellent. Would return and recommend to others.

Far from the chaos of the most touristic areas of Venice, this restaurant was itself worthy my short stay in Venice. Located in a charming narrow street facing a small channel, the restaurant has a few tables outdoor and some others indoor. If the weather is nice it's definitely better to enjoy the view outside. The food was simply wonderful. I enjoyed all of the courses I ordered, prepared by the chef using high quality ingredients only. I can easily say that I had one of the best tiramisù ever. Inside there was also a man playing the piano: definitely something you can't find everywhere in Venice. The service was excellent: the owner (whom I thank once again for being so kind) and the waiters were all very professional and making sure everyhting was fine. The reservation is definitely recommended.

The best meal I had in Venice - every dish ordered was so fresh and flavourful. My favourite were the mussels and the branzino. Staff were friendly and attentive as well despite the restaurant being busy. Do remember to make a reservation as well because the restaurant is quite popular! Strongly recommended

The best food we’ve had in Venice. Their specialty is the sea food but the calamata with beef and truffle pasta were delicious too. The food was fresh and of a high quality and in a surprisingly reasonable price. All of it paired with great service and a pretty view makes it a perfect date place.

My girlfriend and me went there for a nice dinner and we don't get disappointed. :) The atmosphere was stylish and a little bit familiar too. Yes, we wait a little longer for our food, but I rly don't get the point why this should be bad. The drinks and the starter come really quickly and if you like to have a fresh cooked meal and nothing from the microwave, then maybe you have to wait for the meal. And is it so bad to sit there 2h with your loved ones, talk, have fun and eat a nice meal? I don't think so. 😉

All I can say is it’s in the top 5 place to eat on tripadvisor for a reason! A must visit in Venice, excellent food, well priced and epic staff.

Where do I start! From the minute we walked into the restaurant we were greeted warmly by Marcello who was fabulous during our dining experience! For the first time I can say, I did not feel rushed when deciding on our order. Jennifer was extremely attentive during our meal, providing a high quality of service throughout. Staff are extremely friendly and the food was out of this world. Fresh local seafood was delicious! We also tried steak tartare for the first time. My partner (who is a foodie) has claimed that it is the best starter he has ever had! I would highly recommend this restaurant to all. It has already been found by many, therefore booking in advance would be recommended to avoid disappointment!

After reading good reviews with decided to go for the seafood. Hold the dishes were freshly prepared, with a lot of seafood inside, the seafood was firm and tasty and you could tell it was not reheated from before. I would come back in a heartbeat. On top of it, it was reasonably priced.

This in an extraordinary place! The staff is so friendly, helpful and professional and the food, omg. We shared the Tartufo Trofie and a 1,2 kg Steak, both dishes were absolutely delicious. Our memorable evening at Fanal del Codego was enriched by a lovely piano performance!

Very tasty food and good personnel. We ordered the pasta with the brie and the pasta with the truffle. Both amazing! You should also try the tiramissu, because is 10/10!! Make a reservation if you want to eat there for sure because it's packed.

We had grilled mix fish with a fine white wine. It was perfect. Our dessert creme Catalan couldn’t be better. Romantic place, soft music, kind people. Our Kids had lamb and want to come here already tomorrow again.

We loved this restaurant. The pastas were delicious. For the second course my husband and I had the baked turbot, which is definitely enough for 2 people. It’s a whole fish with potatoes and other veggies, but our waitress asked if we would like help taking the fish apart. She skillfully removed the flesh from the bones and portioned it onto 2 plates for us (in Italy you only tip for exceptional service, and we definitely tipped her!) It was perfectly cooked; moist and flavorful.

Hidden away from the crowds is this cute restaurant with a couple of tables right at the canal. We had a reservation which is highly recommended but still had to wait quite a bit. Nevertheless service apologized multiple times, brought us Prosecco on the house and even brought out a new table after we had been waiting for a while. Great food and quality, fair prices and super friendly service!

Excellent service. For the food, the only small downside is that the scallops in my pasta were overcooked. Glass of limoncello offered at the end of the meal, thank you!

Pretty good place! Pasta is made fresh. We had the clam marinara (which is apparently a parsley butter sauce), lamb chops, and cuddle fish ink pasta. While the food was definitely good and fresh, I wouldn’t put this place as a must eat. The lamb chops were over cooked to about well done and the cuddle fish pasta, while an interesting black color and made fresh, was bland in taste. The appetizer of clams and muscles was pretty good.

We (2 people) ordered Tomhawk steak and honestly it was one of the worst steaks I have ever had. Not much taste and full of fat as you can see in the photo. The salad and grilled vegetables were not fresh too, so we didn’t eat it. And I paid more than 80 Euro for that low quality steak, which was our most expensive dinner in Venice. Most of good reviews are from local guides which seems strange to me. To be fair I should say that the staff were friendly.

To begin with, this would have been 5 stars but for the problems mentioned. Excellent location with beautiful outdoor seating on a canal. To drink we got the house white which was reasonably priced and decent quality. We had the salmon tartare which was large and excellent, the tagliatelle with vegetables, also good, the baked fish (amazing) and the frutti de mare cooked in foil also good. But for the following, the food was excellent, came out quickly and it was an overall great dining experience. Here were the struggles. There was only one server for more than 13 tables. She apologized and did a great job but it was slow. The other issue, in the frutti de mare dish, most of the clams were closed, as in not cooked enough. We would definitely go back. I think these were mostly bad luck things. I say try it out!

Had a sea bas with grilled vegetables, it was very fresh and delicious. Also ordered local specialty, however it’s a bit specific taste , not for everyone. Overall, very good experience, amazing location with a canal view.

After having spent over a month in Venice for work, I found this beautiful osteria just on the last day! Situated next to a small canal, we were welcomed with great friendly service and delicious food. What more can you ask for? I'm definitely coming back here next time I'm back in Venice. Grazie Jennifer!

Very good restaurant. Taste dishes. Quite occupied, so better to have reservations although don’t be surprised that you need to wait a while for booked table. Best tables are outside but not available when raining.

👍👍 The best pizza I’ve ever eaten & my family too. It’s all about the pizza base - they mastered it. 😍 Price is very reasonable. Great ambience. Long queues so worth booking for dinner. Walk-in for lunch time is possible though. Back to the pizza base, it’s so fluffy & airy. Thin & crispy in the mid...
