👍👍 Spectacular mountains, accesible by car, bus or motorbike. 148 kilometets of road DN67C is a mototourist dream. Comparing to another famous Transfogarasan, you will not experience a traffic jam here. Road quality is outstanfing too.

👍 It is a very lovely place with good people, a fresh water fountain, the Jiu River is right next to it so you can take some nice pictures. Also they have home made products (syrups, jams, etc) really good. Lovely place.

👍 Worth seeing it, especially in August - on St Mary’s day - 15.08 Very Well placed, Close tot the mountains and “Cheile Oltețului”, Polovragi Cave and surrounded by many motels - hotels - inns. The area is Good for spending Short holidays (3-4-5 nights)… the views are great… the nature is beautiful...

👍👍 This is a hidden gem. It was rebuilt in the 19th century under Gheorghe Bibescu in a style that differs somewhat from the traditional Romanian way of building monasteries. It's beautiful and peaceful and very much worth visiting.
