The studio is small but therefore very intimate and cozy. The atmosphere is always open and welcoming. The instructors are good at what they are doing, and their various specialities ensure many different types of classes. Would highly recommend to everyone from beginners to more advanced practitioners!

Visited this studio a couple times while traveling in Amsterdam, enjoyed really great classes with Sharon and Anna. Benefited from both the physical and mental aspects of the class. :)

I love this studio! It’s cozy, with small groups and the teachers are very open mind. I specially recommend Carol Aldighieri, she’s a really profesional yoga teacher but also high quality human.

Thrive Yoga is definately a gem in Amsterdam. I have been a weekly visitor since the opening. The website offers an easy way to reserve classes and is quite intuïtive when it comes to buying a subscription or a multiple visit card. Classes have a limited number of spaces and you will be informed if a class is overbooked. Usually I'm perfectly able to attend all classes that I want. The studio is neat, tidy and well equipped. All materials are clean and quite new. The classes usually offer a nice balance between the physical and mental aspects of yoga. This in combination with some subtle music, ambient lighting and touches of incense. Classes are finished with a nice cup of tea and the possiblity to ask questions. Teachers seem to be well prepared for classes and offer high quality programs. Depending on your mood/needs there is a different type of yoga available each day of the week. In summary: highly recommended.

Lovely teachers and space. Especially Marco, Irina & Krishna's classes keep me coming back every time, either for a challenging or relaxing class full of yogi wisdom and nice music.

I would definitely recommend Thrive Yoga (after I tried several other yoga schools in Amsterdam): The classes are small with personal attention from the Yoga teachers, personal attention for injuries creating alternative poses to cope with your injury. I am following the Yin Yang class which creates the perfect balance between Yin and Yang poses / dynamic and a calm, warm and welcoming atmosphere. After the class a glass of tea is shared so that you can, easily and at your own pace, transform from the Yoga mind to the daily state of mind again, which is really great. Furthermore, the teachers are also approachable after class for questions, sharing of stories, etc. As you can read, I am really happy to found this yoga school and would definitely recommend it to everyone.

Thrive Yoga Oost is a very nice yoga and pilates place with good teachers. Distinctive in the small-scale design, which really allows you to relax and be in contact with the teacher.

Great yoga school! Teachers are great, I have enjoyed various lessons with my absolute favorite the Monday Yin Yang class by Marco. I enjoy attending these class so much; the Yin practice combined with Vinyasa flow as given by Marco also really helped against a leg injury and back issues. Every month has a different theme on which some words are dedicated, which help remind the inner self in various ways and/or to reflect. The instructors all very welcoming and are very good at focusing on different levels, proving modifications to the poses so that you are comfortable. It is accessible on every level. Also very much enjoyed some of the interesting workshops that are occasionally are given across the various studios. Really recommend this place! 

👍👍 Great squash facilities! There are lots of players, almost to the world-ranked pro level down to the casual player. Great social atmosphere too. Awesome bar and great food. The only thing is that it is super popular and reservations for courts fill up fast.

😠 I can't even begin to describe how much I am disappointed with the TrainMore takeover of SportsWorld. When I've signed up for the gym, I was promised quality/ exclusive services and facilities. And I agreed to pay a somewhat high price for it (~80 EUR per month). In the transition period, however, I...

😐 Everything is nice about the gym - no problem. But the only thing I DO NOT UNDERSTAND is why does it close at 5 pm on weekends?? It's so early!! So inconvenient. And also it opens at 7 am on weekdays - also quite late! In the U.S. gyms open at 5 or 6 am during the week and on weekends work almost th...

😐 Bring your own mat or you have to pay 3 euro to rent one of their old ones. I hadn’t been here for a bit but it used to be full service (they even gave you a towel before.) But rest assured the teacher informed me it was for my benefit because now I have “options.” Like the option to pay for a mat...
