The area was constructed under Bangladesh Army and the Special Works Organization (SWO). It is now a popular recreational spot for residents of Dhaka and is currently undergoing renovation.

A nice initiative of administration, I wont say it's of low cost but the DISCIPLINE that amazes me. Always who wanna follow a shortcut , chose Hatirjhil Circular Road. Bus condition is up to the mark, nice seat arrangements. I can't get more further from a local service in Bangladesh than this. Hope every bus service in Dhaka should have been like this...!
