This used to be a good and renowned hospital in Dhaka, but now not so much. The services have and the quality of treatment has gone bad in the past few years. I hope they'll recover their fame. Technically, this hospital has most of the facilities in house, which may be required for a patient.

Holy Family Red Crescent Medical College Hospital is one of the very old hospital of Bangladesh. It has a very large compound. Nice place with natural beauty. Many big trees over there scattered in the whole campus, So plenty of natural green beauties. Hospital and Medical College is in separate buildings. Campus is neat and clean also well maintained. There are also a beautiful Mosque inside the campus. Public Toilet is well maintained neat and clean. Staffs are good and cooperative. Less doctors also not much patients there. Treatment also average now a days. But once upon a time it was one of the best hospital in the town. Treatment cost is in average not very high. Affordable to middleclass people. Communication is very good as it's very near to Moghbazar Mor.

The Holy Family Red Crescent Medical College & Hospital started its journey in the academic year 1999-2000 by the inspiration of daughter of Father of the Nation & defender of the democracy Prime Minister Janonetri Sheikh Hasina. Sheikh Fazlul Karim Salim, MP was the Hon'ble Health Minister of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. Sheikh Kabir Hossain was Chairman, Bangladesh Red Crescent Society and Professor Dr. Md. Maniruzzaman Bhuiyan was Principal of Holy Family Red Crescent Medical College. Holy Family Red Crescent Medical College & hospital is a project of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) and is run by a Governing Body duly formed by the representatives of sponsor organization Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS), representatives from the University of Dhaka and Government of Bangladesh. The College follows the MBBS course curriculum as laid down by Dhaka University and Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council. Government of Bangladesh regulates the criteria of qualification of students and the University of Dhaka conducts the professional examinations and certificates of MBBS degree are awarded by them. It started its journey with 50 students in the academic year 1999-2000. Presently we have about 978 students and 140 students are admitted during every academic session including up to a maximum of 50% foreign students. Fifteen batches of students have already qualified as doctors and fourteen batches have completed their internship training and the fifteenth batches are undergoing internship training in Holy Family Red Crescent Medical College Hospital (HFRCMCH) which is a tertiary care Hospital established in the year 1953 with 720 beds and delivering clinical services in all specialties of medical science. Since its establishment in the year 2000, Holy Family Red Crescent Medical College has come a long way during the last 19 years and achieved a great reputation amongst the non-government medical colleges in the country. We admit students with high merit and aptitude. We have adequate qualified teaching staff and modern teaching aids like computers, multimedia projector and digital sound system for effective delivery of lectures. This medical college has a full fledged library with sufficient text, reference books and journals. The library has high speed internet facilities with HINARI access. Holy Family Red Crescent Medical College is enlisted in the AVICENNA Directory (former WHO medical directory). Please read this review atleast once before getting admitted in Holy Family.I'm Sharing the worst experience of my life that I ever had. Never, I repeat never come to Holy family hospital for any long term disease like dengue, covid. They don't have sufficient doctors,Nurse, not even cleaner. The wards are dirty and the washrooms are dirtiest. How could a hospital be so slow in their process! You're patient will get even more sick while they just do the discharge process. Never ever come to this hospital.I was admitted here only for two days and I think these are the worst day of my life. They don’t even remove the canola without your paying the bills.

Since it is a Red Crescent Society project, the cost here should be lower.

It is situated near Magbazar. It's an ancient and famous hospital. Their service is very excellent. Parking facilities are available. Treatment cost is reasonable. To take admission for the patient is very easy. They serves daily food for the patient. Foods nutrition maintains carefully and the quantity of food is enough for a patient.

Holy Family Red Crescent Medical College Hospital is truly outstanding. Our experience there for my baby nephew's vaccination was exceptional. The medical staff displayed immense care and expertise, ensuring a smooth and comfortable vaccination process. The hospital's dedication to children's healthcare and their professional approach make it a top choice for pediatric services. I highly recommend this hospital for its excellent care, especially for young ones.

This hospital has good services for patients. But the cost of this hospital is a bit high. Boy guards are not allowed to stay with patients in the cabins at night.

The whole system runs smoothly and the doctors and other specialist are really friendly. Receiving treatment there will make you feel like home. The only downside is some of the workers there don't fully concentrate while talking to you but its not a major issue.

On July 10, 2023, my father was admitted to this facility due to Dengue fever. During his hospital stay, his platelet count dropped to 32,000 and eventually reached 11,000. In response, the medical team made a prompt decision to transfer him to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and conducted a platelet transplant using donated platelets from one of my cousins. We are generally satisfied with the level of care provided by the ICU team. However, our experience in the Cardiology Care Unit (CCU) was quite the opposite. The nurses in that department unprofessional, lacked proper training, and showed reluctance to perform even basic tasks. When my father was transferred to the CCU with severe potassium deficiencies, the nurses even neglected to give him the prescribed doses of potassium chloride (KCL) from the very beginning. This oversight only came to light when we reported my father's unbearable palpitations to the doctor that night. The nurses provided little to no support and were defensive when confronted about their mistakes. Furthermore, the CCU ward was crowded with visitors until midnight, and the nurses showed little concern. We had to constantly remind them to conduct routine check-ups and tests. On multiple occasions, they instructed us on how to handle equipment such as oxygen masks, heart rate monitors, and cannulas etc ourselves, while remaining seated at their desks. This level of negligence and unprofessionalism is entirely unacceptable for a reputed hospital, (or at least it used to be). The hospital management must address these issues immediately before someone loses their life due to such serious negligence.

Holy Family Red Crescent Medical College, a project of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS), follows the MBBS curriculum of Dhaka University and government regulations. Established in 1999-2000, it enrolls approximately 1000± students. The associated Holy Family Red Crescent Medical College Hospital (HFRCMCH) provides clinical services. While it has a strong reputation and qualified staff, there have been concerns about service quality in recent years.

Autonomous org. (Hospital) of BD Red Crescent. The most renowned hospital in Bangladesh, specially the environment & atmosphere!! This is a gathering free & vip area of Dhaka. There are almost all (except few) deptt. to get treatment & thorough check up for for patients. This is a Medical college hospital, doctors are 24 hours available here! At the mid night, when you need emergency treatment - this hospital is open and available although no any other!!

This is a private hospital situated near the Dhaka metropolitan Police headquarters and it is very popular in this area everybody of this region wants to go to this hospital for their medical service. At the same time I think all the doctors are very professional and experience so these students and the general people actually get the best service from the main stakeholders of this medical college in hospital. Therefore I appreciate their actions every day that people actually are benefited.

Its a good hospital & the staff are very helpful, you can find various kinds of medical equipment & it has some of the best facilities in bangladesh. Although all off this features the price of all this isn't that much. But make sure to ckeck the bill before payment as sometime there may be double entry of the same test on the bill
