As a traveler, I am quite unfamiliar with the impacts of the common strikes in France. After all trains were cancelled and I was stranded, Maison Barbillon came to the rescue. I didn’t catch his name but the gentleman that got me into a room spoke very good English and really made sure I was taken care of. Very pleased with my stay.

A very cute hotel right near the train station. The room is small, but very comfortable and the bathrooms are very nice. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, but not free. The reception is open 24/7, spoke English and were very helpful.

A very reasonable priced hotel and a nice design. The location is so so. But the hotel is clean, the room are comfortable and bright, bed comfortable. We didn’t took the breakfast coz it seemed a bit overpriced for the product offered. Nice coffee machine. Polite staff.

Functional rooms. Friendly staff. Breakfast was good and though there are few options, I felt what was offered was sufficient. Good to stay if you are on a short trip.

It's a very lovely and well-decorated hotel, just 300 metres away from the train station but without the noise of passing trains. The rooms could be smaller than usual, but overall, mine was well maintained and had all the necessary amenities for a weekend. There's not a great view from the window, not at least from my 105. Breakfast is normal, but the personnel should be more attentive to the flux of customers coming by not to leave them with an empty buffet (I had to wait for the bacon to be fried again, and I was sort of discouraged by the lady saying it would have taken 10 minutes to be prepared).

Overall the hotel was ok. The room was well-designed and clean, but our toilet was a bit dirty, unfortunately. The breakfast was average to pretty ok. The more problematic part was their selling of parking tickets that didn’t work in the parking garage, meaning that I had to pay the hotel 24 EUR extra (so if they offer you, don’t take them). I contacted them afterwards to ask for a reimbursement, but unfortunately to no avail. In addition, I asked them repeatedly to send me the bill and they haven’t done so, unfortunately. Editing as I cannot reply: note that the bill would have been sent the same day, but only came after four emails (and after three days). They had not responded to my request before leaving the review. Indeed, I had after three days received a reply. That they are not responsible for sales for the parking garage is unusual if they sell it, but so be it.

Very friendly and accommodating staff, making for a super comfortable stay. Free hot drinks are available (variety of teas and coffee). The hotel is situated right by the train station. They were also happy to look after our luggage until check-in, and the reception is open 24-hour. When I go back to Grenoble, I will pick the same hotel again without hesitation.

Got denied access to the parking without possibility to book it in advance (5 spots for 50 rooms). Staff very impolite when pointed out that such restrictions should be more clearly advertised. Then the car got broken into while parked in front of the hotel.

A cautionary tale…. If you are choosing here because of its secure parking like we did, and drive anything bigger or lower than a fiat 500, be ready for a fair few hairy moments accessing and parking. It’s not something we would want to repeat. Definitely not suitable for SUV’s and low sports cars - we were in one of each!! The hotel - 2 rooms were booked, checked in together, we were handed both keys but one room hadn’t been serviced from the last occupiers and the door wedged open by used towels. All in all not a great start. I can say the water was hot and the room clean, once serviced. I didn’t sleep well, deliveries and doors banging in the night. It was fine. But nothing more.
