I had the best experience in Romania, at La Fountain, so far! It is located near the Corvin’s Castle and the Cathedral. It’s a little piece of heaven at just one hour to National Park Retezat. I am very keen on traveling and with all the experience, I highly recommend both the restaurant and the accommodation!🥰

This was our second trip to La Fontaine and we had a great stay. The rooms are spacious, clean and stylish. Breakfast was tasty with enough variety on the menu (omelette, avocado toast, scramble eggs , jelly, pastry). The staff is very friendly. AC was perfect.

Unfortunately our experience was not great here. We called for a reservation a few hours before we arrived. Nobody told us at phone or at checkin that at the hotel on the same day will be a weeding and of course a lot of noise until late night (~1 am) and we could not use the hotel restaurant and garden. We complained twice about the noise and the problem was not solved. It would be nice to know about this before paying for the room and have the option to decide if we still want to stay there. The room was nice and clean but the bed was really really small for 2 persons.

Recently opened, clean, nice beds and good accomodation, still needs some maintenance, faucet was leaking a bit, some spots where the plasture was scraped but overall a great place to stay

Impeccable accommodation and service with stunning view to the castle. However, the menu was the cherry on top. Interesting mix of reinterpreted Mediterranean and local dishes reinterpreted by the chef.

Amazing!!! Lovely staff especially Adriana which is just a sweetheart. Room was proper clean, tidy and comfortable. The design of the rooms, toilets, lounge and outdoors is just impeccable. Food was lovely both dinner and breakfast.

Absolutely gorgeous! The recently renovated building is a beautiful mansion . The location is excellent, both, from the terrace and from the restaurant and some of the rooms, you can see the Huniad castle. I dined here and was pleasantly surprised to find a rich vegetarian menu! Unfortunately, the pictures doesn't show the full beauty of the place, but I invite you not to miss them if you pass through Hunedoara.
