Avoid! Even the reservation is confirmed, you may not really have a room. Overbooking does exist at COQ! And you would only know at the night when you check-in! A complete disaster! Booked and confirmed a 1-night reservation one month ago for my extension stay in Paris on the hotel's official website. Arrived and left my baggage at 8am on the check-in day the 1st October, out for work the whole day and on the way back for check-in, I was contacted by phone at 7pm (yes, 11 hours later since I have left my bags) that I could not stay at the hotel because they found out that there was an oversell of their booking system! How PROFESSIONAL! COQ is a joke! As a hotel, it is the most basic, the principal, to manage well your own occupancy (at least not finding out you oversell at the check-in day at 7pm?!!), and COQ hotel does allow this unprofessional situation happen. A big problem occurs obviously at their management and the reception. The receptionist was nice but the directrice was not sincere at all, she does not care about the hotels' guests, they thought they have found a spare room (at another sister hotel of COQ) for me 1km a away is a great gift from them and I should thank them I have a shelter for that night. REMARKS: I have booked a superior room, I wanted to make everybody easy and accepted that I could stay at the single room (much smaller, but OK I did not have to move and I was on my own), but the directrice refused to do a partial refund, hence she finally compromised to issue a refund of 20euros! WOW! How generous! I was trying to help her, however, she communicated insincerely, without any apology, and did not realise all these happened was because of she has an oversell!!! By forcing a guest either to change hotel, or change into a much smaller room at her hotel, pitying with a great amount of 20 euros... She is not human, no kind gesture, for her management and team's fault. Never heard she say sorry for the inconvenience. Not once! GOD Bless they will not oversell their rooms again and you all will have no bad surprises at check-in. Used their dirty toilet at the basement and stucked at their small lobby due to its bad management and oversell issue, I would say I am actually grateful that they have oversold and I chose to change the hotel. I have been taken good care of at its sister hotel named Monte Cristo in the 5eme , the team at Monte Cristo is much more professional, warm, kind, above all, more human. Good luck for those who have reserved! Enjoy your time at the unkind COQ!

I recently stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and I am very satisfied with everything. I do not even have a negative point to mention. It was above my expectations and would stay while I am in Paris again.

Great hotel with very friendly staff that is there to help you when needed. My visit was only one night and beginning 2020 but the relaxed atmosphere i will not forget. The lounge area gives a warm and comfortable feeling. You get the impression you are very welcome. The rooms are very stylish and comfortable. I would definitely go back when visiting Paris.

We absolutely loved our stay at COQ Paris! The hotel is located in a relatively tranquil neighborhood, far from all the tourisistic buzz, but with lots of local gems to discover. The staff are specifically friendly and helpful in that regard. The hotel's and rooms' design are cozy and comfortable, and everything was sparkling clean. I only wish I had more control over the room's temperature: it wasn't particularly cold or hot, but I live a much colder city than Paris and preferred it wayyy cooler.

Beautiful hotel with lovely staff. The rooms were stylish and had everything we needed, the communal area is relaxing and cosy and perfect for an evening glass of wine. There's not loads going on in the neighbourhood but it's a pretty short walk to some of the best bits of Paris so don't let location be a deciding factor. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Paris. The staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful too, which is a big plus.

We were a large group, staying in 3-4 rooms for a few days, in town for a wedding. We also had friends and family walk-in to meet us for an evening and sometimes later in the night. The hotel staff was very accommodating, considerate and patient with our enquiries, using of their awesome common areas and arranging for clean up of the common areas after we were done for the evening. The staff gets full marks for customer service. They were fluent in English and available to help even later in the night. The rooms are a bit compact, however are sufficient for a couple and they are well appointed, have a unique vintage Parisian vibe to them but are updated and modern. Located away from the busy parts yet close to a large mall and many restaurants, plus not too far away from the Eiffel and the Seine.

We had a shaky start arriving in Paris as our air bnb wasn’t quite up to scratch. So we needed to quickly find another hotel so we started looking at around 9pm and luckily found Coq Hotel Paris. By 10pm we were checked in and inside our beautiful hotel room. On the first night I was kept awake by the sound of the lift opening and closing and the sound from people moving around upstairs. When we woke up we had a word with the lovely gentleman on reception (Ramon). Who was very apologetic and offered to change our room straight away, and to our delight we were given an upgrade to a larger room on the 6th floor. That night I slept like a baby in the comfortable beds. I really enjoyed staying at Coq Hotel Paris each of the staff are so lovely and friendly - nothing is too much trouble. It is well located about 5 mins away from a metro station and not far from a police station so we definitely felt very safe. A massive shout out to Ramon and Amelle who were both superstars during our stay. Amelle helped me with dinner recommendations and is overall just a helpful and lovely person. Thank you Team Coq Hotel Paris!

Charming boutique hotel with hipster chic. Many small extra things that move it from good to great. Rooms are super small, but tidy, with comfortable beds. Feel cozy and we'll equipped. Shower in my room was spacious, very clean, good water pressure. Amenities are of a high quality. Toiletries by Rituals. Coffee machine, bathrobes. I only missed the hairdryer. Breakfast here is beyond my expectations. French style. Good selection of meat charcuterie and cheese. Eggs are served hard boiled or easy upon your request. Pastries, delicious jams, dried fruits, teas and good coffee. Bread is fresh and good. Freshly squeezed juice. Many products are organic and carefully selected. Coffee and pastries available all day round. Free wine is served in the evenings. Breakfast is served at the lobby area which is very cozy and feels more like a living room with sofas, many plants, bookshelves and other neat decor. Staff are very friendly and willing to help. The location is also good. Good access to public transport. The neighborhood is nice. Not far from trendy Butte-aux-Cailles with many small bars and restaurants. This area had much influence of creative arts. Many buildings are decorated with stunning murals and grafiti by prominent artists. I highly recommend this hotel for its great service and value for money. I think it well justifies its name Community of Quality.

Really lovely little hotel a little bit away from the bustle of the tourist trail. Rooms are comfortable and the hotel has a stylish area where you can just chill. The breakfast is great and there are some nice touches - help yourself to little pastries and coffee through the day, welcome drinks in the evening. Staff are super friendly and helpful. We stayed two nights, would be more than happy to visit again.

My favourite hotel in Paris. I am in Paris a lot for work and it is always a pleasure to stay here. A special mention to Mehdi who is such an asset to the company and a fantastic staff member. He always treats me and my colleagues with so much respect and kindness.

Good for the price! Certain things like the detachable and rotatable shaving mirror and size of the bathrooms and general ameneties quality was pleasantly surprising! Rooms were small but price is low so evens out.

Beautiful interior and lovely designs of the lobby. Room was small, although we picked a deluxe room and poor soundproofed as you can hear next door talking. Staff not so fluent in english as expected on a 4 star hotel and there are no minibar in the room! Not a 4 star feeling overall. Cleaning staff was unprofessional to knock at 10am on our last day and ask to have the cot mattress when we havent even checked out yet. They also left dirty cleaning cloths around in the room. PLEASE READ IF YOU PLANNING TO STAY WITH CHILD! I strongly advise you to reconsider elsewhere if you stay with a small child. We were put on 4th floor where there was a missing banister on the landing with no warning signs anywhere and thank god nothing bad happened to us. We had sleepless night thinking the unimaginable that a 4 star hotel welcoming children can overlook these risk and even put us on this floor and room across the landing. My child could easily have slipped through, and worst of all is that in the morning the cleaning trolley obstruct the walkway increasing the risk of falling through further. We alerted the reception manager but no reassurance or action was taken. The same issue was also found on the 3rd floor! The manager offered free breakfast which we declined and also a discount of 15% for next stay but I obviously will never bring my child back to this death hazard again!! Safety measures of this hotel need to be inspected and actioned immediately before anything bad happens to somebody else!

Great hotel. Very welcoming and hospitable. The rooms were very modern and the mattress extremely comfy. We had a small wrought iron balcony which we had breakfast on every morning- there’s a small supermarket about 1 minute away with plenty of fruit and yogurts etc. all the rooms had robes and we were offered a ‘free’ glass of wine every night when we got back from being busy Paris tourists !!! The hotel is slightly further out from central Paris but we got our steps up and walked to most places including the Eiffel Tower. The nearest Metro is Place d’Italia. The location of the hotel is extremely convenient for Orly Airport.

It’s fine, cute hipster hotel in an area of the city that’s more full of Parisians going about their daily lives than sightseeing attractions. Very small, cramped quarters, but stylish. Breakfast in the morning is cheese, meat, croissants, juice and coffee. Close to the train. Neighborhood is walkable. A mall is nearby. Good for folks on a budget looking for a reasonably priced but cute home base to launch out into the rest of Paris from, and don’t mind cramped quarters and having to take the train (or a taxi) to get to the more touristy areas.

I have travelled by myself for a business trip, I stayed 3 nights and the hotel staff has always been pleasant and helpful, when needed. Very good and abundant and quality breakfast, clean and spacious room, as well as comfortable beds and shower!

The room was amazing, felt like a cosy house with beautiful style! The decor of the hotel and the front desk were lovely. all the small things like unlimited free coq water, coffee, fruits and candy added to the great experience. the only thing is that the rooms are not at all soundproof, unlike stated on the website. this was a shame because we could hear literally everyone and everything next to us and in the hallway. Also, the cleaning ladies are super loud in the morning. But other than that, it was awesome. would definitely come again

Boutique hotels are my favourite, because they give importance to interior decor of the hotel and customer satisfaction it’s their priority. I will definitely stay here when visiting Paris again.

Beautiful hotel, friendly staff. Really classy. Loved it here. Location is great, safe area, lots of restsurants and supermarkets. The aircon is really good here. Very hot outside during the day but the room was really cool. I will use this hotel again. Thankyou.

This place was the jewel in our 2 week tour of France. It brought a chic, modern feel to the boutique French hotel experience. It was well worth the money and we would stay here again in a heartbeat. -----LOCATION: A quiet spot just a stones throw away from metro stops that will take you anywhere you want to go. There were restaurants nearby if you don't feel like venturing out and the hotel staff will make recommendations and reservations based on your requests. ----- The STAFF were incredible. They went the extra mile to make sure we were welcome and comfortable. My husband and I dragged our bedraggled, exhausted bodies into the hotel after a 12 hour train ride, hoping to simply have a place to store our bags for the hours until our room would be available; without a peep they arranged an early check-in so we could rest comfortably. The desk staff were kind no matter what time of day or night we came in and I heard several guests ask for hotel and nightlife recommendations and get enthusiastic suggestions. The housekeeping was very polite the couple of times we crossed paths and did a wonderful job with our room. -----CLEANLINESS could not have been better. Everything was spotless and fresh with little vanilla aromatics in the bathroom. Ooh and the bath products provided smell great. No generic industrial soap here! -----THE LOUNGE was utterly charming. A mix between a French cultural salon and a cabana. Coffee and tea were available all day and your reservation includes an apertif glass of the house wine (you can pay a little extra for additional options), so you can read a book and enjoy the quiet or make new friends. Breakfast was an extra 15 euro per person, so we skipped it, but the last morning absolutely would have reconsidered if we had time because it was a *spread*. Well beyond the traditional French bread selection and Nespresso, there were meats and pastries and a coffee machine that made gourmet selections at the touch of a button. -----THE ROOM was *so* lovely. Small by American standards but perfectly common for a French boutique hotel. There was a coffee maker and water carafe on the desk, strong, reliable air conditioning and a programmable safe (there's a fridge in the lobby for shared use.) The bed was very comfortable and crisp. The bathroom was fresh and modern with a waterfall shower head, adjustable shaving mirror, and hair dryer. Towels were so soft and fluffy. There were even bathrobes and individual slippers! The window opens so you have a wonderful view of the sunrise over the rooftops. Something to note: like many hotels, they utilize an energy saving feature where you use your room key to turn on the lights and power. There's a square next to the door where you insert your key card and that will turn everything on for you. Then when you leave for the day you grab your card and everything turns off behind you. -----OVERALL COQ offers an understated sense of luxury that makes it ideal for couples, solo vacationers looking to unwind, or friend groups looking for a getaway. Families with children would certainly enjoy themselves, but some of the charm will be lost on the kiddos. I cannot recommend it enough.

Great place, clean and unique in its own way. Only downside - breakfast, expensive (15eur) and not much to eat. But I will definitely stay again!

My stay at the hotel was one of the best I've had. The hotel is charming and the staff are very welcoming. The coffee and pastries provided throughout the day are very nice, and also the wine at the end of the day are a nice touch. The lobby area is wonderful to relax in or even work. The staff at the hotel were extremely nice, polite and welcoming. I will for sure consider this hotel in the future on my next visits to Paris.

Very cute public spaces, very comfortable rooms. Smallish rooms but standard for a big-city hotel in Europe. Simple but high-quality breakfast. Only complaint is the seating in the lobby/café was uncomfortable -- small, rickety, squeaky wooden patio chairs. Staff was professional and kind. Good experience overall.

Great hotel...would have gave it 5 stars but I found the rooms a little on the small side...other than that the setup is excellent. Really good area to hang out in next to reception.
